After all that, dealing with Joe was like a breath of fresh air. He came out to check out my space within a week of contacting him, took his time looking around and telling me his thoughts, which I appreciated. When he was a day or two later than he mentioned getting me the written estimate, he reached out to let me know. He followed up after the estimate, which I received during a super busy time personally, and I was ready to schedule the work but had to postpone, due to last minute travel for work. We agreed on a date after I returned, and again he followed up to make sure we were still on. This kind of communication has been unheard of, in my experience with hiring other professionals to work on my house, and I really appreciated it. Tucked away in the scenic town of High Falls, NY, Rosado Works is a rare find in a region full of furniture repair shops- but many that don't work on small pieces. While those repair shops overlook smaller pieces like mine, Rosado Works specializes in giving these items (and larger ones too) the attention they deserve. Luis isn't just a woodworker, but a true artisan. He treated that one specific jewelry case with the respect it deserved, carefully repairing the worn look of it, refreshing the finish and bringing it back to life. Honestly, my jewelry case now stands sturdier- hell, even prettier than I ever imagined. I also brought a green painted chair with metal studs on the seat that needed one of its sticks on the back to be permanently placed. And while I tried using wood glue to hold the stick in place, that stick would hold for about a minute and fall all over again. So I needed Luis' help. Again, he went beyond the 'wood glue' because in reality, my chair needed more surgery than that. Just a heads-up: there might be a bit of a wait, as your pieces won't be the only ones on his bench. I was warmly greeted by Dayton, and Kim I had a unique situation as I needed a retrofit to match an existing 25 yr old granite kitchen counter? Kim found a substantial size 10' slab I needed, at a supplier in New Jersey. Then it was shipped to Albany, Kim encouraged me to go look at and compare . Once I gave the Ok Kim shipped it back to her shop in Kingston. In the interim her crew came to my house and removed the old counter, and made the needed template. Making sure all was to their standards for install. We set the install for two months later as I was about to leave for vacation. While I was away, Caliber crew cut the slab to exact template and cut the sink. I sent the sink directly to Caliber per Kim's help and direction. The install was a date almost 60 days out per my schedule. On the exact day of install, a crew of three headed by Miguel (also did removal and template) showed up 8:30 sharp. The installation is flawless, combined with impeccable clean up and professionalism from start to finish. I'm a builder of numerous homes, and I owned and operated the largest Home Improvement company in Dutchess county for forty years.
