Robert was so attentive, and met with my husband and I numerous time to go over our design ideas, and create the ring of my dreams. We took in a few pictures of rings for ideas, and a CAD design was created and emailed to me for my final approval. A wax mold was created that I was able to try on. The detail of the mold was so amazing, and it was so exciting to be able to see my ring come to life. My husband wanted to make sure that, although I was included in the designing the ring, it was still a surprise. He asked Robert email me a few days before his surprise proposal to tell me that there was a delay, and that the ring wouldn't be ready for a couple more weeks. Robert sent a very apologetic email, and assured me that I would be notified as soon as it was ready. We came here engagement ring shopping, probably one of 7 jewelers we visited in total. I knew exactly what I wanted (yellow sapphire centerstone wth diamond halo) and Paul was the only jeweler who I felt understood that vision, was listening to me, and wanted to make it happen. He was the only person who said to me, after I explained what I wanted, to come back in a couple of days so he could show me some stone options and settings. Everyone else had told me to come back when I was ready to make a payment and they'd design it. He took the time to show me exactly what I wanted before any money was on the table. Well, I'm glad many of you had such a good experience with this place as buyers. Let me tell you our experience as potential sellers to them. My wife and I had 35 items of estate jewelry to sell. We made an appointment to see Robert. We told him we didn't (at the time) know how to sell the stuff, and told him our intentions were to have each piece priced as a cash sale by two different jewelers, with each piece going to whomever bid the highest. Robert agreed, and spent over an hour with us, telling us what he would pay for each piece. Robert mentioned he could probably do better if we put the jewelry up on consignment. We told him no thanks, that we needed the cash for a new roof so we wouldn't have to dip into investments. I then went to a second jeweler. He was high bid on a little over half of the items. The sale of those items went smoothly. When we tried to get an appointment with Robert to sell him the items he was high on, he texted us he would only do consignment. WTF! What a classic bait and switch. Robert knew we did not want to do consignment, and agreed to do cash. Then he changed the deal. What a waste of our time. We politely gave Robert one chance to make this right, and his answer was....silence. Anyways, it was easy to find a REPUTABLE jeweler to sell the unsold items to, so we are only out a few hours of our time and some gas.
