There is a scavenger hunt with a prize if you find all the items. You can even buy your beer as you browse. I am sure some people spend hours here. I love finding small independent businesess like this with nostalgic clothing that sparks a memory. You never know what you might find. Thrift Sh!t Vintage was founded in 2019 by Victor Rodriguez III, who started out by selling vintage apparel while he was still in college. He worked to build his business through local markets. Pieces were sold at UCF and vintage markets around Florida before opening a pop-up in August 2021 at Velvet Velour Creative House in Miami. It was a success and he moved to Proper Studio. In July 2023, Rodriguez opened in the shop's current home in Progresso. This shop specializes in men's and women's clothing. It includes Y2K fashion, retro streetwear, concert and band T-shirts, and sports memorabilia. There was a sale rack when I visited, although some of the rarer concert shirts were priced much higher. A Spinal Tap shirt gave me a chuckle. It also made me start thinking about whether I still have my own box of old concert T-shirts somewhere! I really enjoyed the way the store displays its merchandise. One of my favorite details was an old pool table being repurposed to display jeans. There's also a dressing room, so you can try things on before making your purchase. And if you have vintage clothes of your own that you're ready to part with, they buy clothing as well. This would be a fun outing with friends. The one drawback is parking, which is limited. There is also a sign in the window warning customers not to park at the nearby dog park because vehicles will be towed, so definitely pay attention to where you leave your car. I found Thrift Sh!t Vintage to be worth it if you find yourself in the area.

They have a little bit of everything -- vintage items mixed into collectibles and actual antiques. A bit of furniture, some clothes; a nice selection of jewelry; a few books and magazines; but a lot of China, bric a brac, and household items. Like everywhere else, it pays to know what the market values are. And I always like checking the current prices being charged for things I grew up with. I did wind up buying a lovely bracelet here. I was interested in the art but it was jammed so tightly in the shelf I couldn't really see it. I think the most unusual item I saw was a ship's porthole. I heard the owners son tell a customer that they had even more things in the back and to come again when his father was back from his fishing trip. If you are looking for something specific it is probably just best to ask them about it. I didn't find anything but I had fun looking. The wife who was working was very sweet. Inventory changes based on what they purchase so you can check in to see new things.

You barely can walk inside. I do not recommend this place. First, they are unfriendly; second, they are rude; and third, the energy inside is very negative. This place gave me the creeps! The bedroom set was pre-owned but they promised to get rid of all the scrapes, etc. They did an amazing job! The owner is from NY and a bit brusque at times, but he delivered our furniture when he promised and the pieces all looked great. There was a giant unicorn staged outside of the business next to the front door, which created a strategic marketing technique to let the public know "We're Open for Business". The shop was packed to the hilt with nostalgic items which instantly rekindled childhood memories. Most would refer to this little shop as "Cute" but it was more like "Cool as Heck". Discussed action figures and comic books with the clerk. Aside from a Chucky doll wearing a Florida Panther jersey and some old records, there was a vintage Coca Cola vending machine and a matching bench which instantly absorbed my attention, but sadly not for sale.
