Miserable experience. They talk a good game, but when it's time to actually deliver, no dice. I bought a brand-new refrigerator. There were none left in stock, so I bought the floor/demo model. The next day, Conn's delivered a non-working, Dead On Arrival refrigerator. It displays an error code indicating that the compressor motor fan does not work. Now Conn's want me to pay $214 more to get a working refrigerator, three days from now. Let me ask you: what does a refrigerator actually do? Hint: IT COOLS THINGS. The object Conn's delivered does NOT cool things. I received an item which is NOT a refrigerator (because it does not cool things). It LOOKS like a refrigerator, and it COSTS as much as a refrigerator, but it's not actually a refrigerator. Conn's wants me to pay $214 more to get an actual refrigerator. To add insult to injury, I spent SIX HOURS and TWELVE PHONE CALLS trying to get the problem fixed. Every time you talk to someone, they have no clue about previous phone calls, so you must start all over from the beginning with a brand-new person, and they keep sending you to different departments to start over. If someone brings you a dead refrigerator, would you pay $214 more to get a working one? The short answer is "NO". The long answer is that Conn's needs to either deliver a working fridge, or refund ALL my money and haul away their non-working boat anchor. DO NOT BUY FROM CONN'S. YOU WILL BE SORRY. I had a miserable experience with Conn's 20 years ago. I decided to give them another try. The sales team was charming and nice, but the bottom line is that they sold me a USELESS HUNK OF METAL and wasted MY ENTIRE DAY and the problem is STILL NOT FIXED and they simply DO NOT CARE. Conn's and I had an agreement for a working refrigerator at a certain price on a certain date. Conn's failed to perform any part of their agreement. Conn's wants me to pay $214 more, to get a working refrigerator several days after the promised date. Well, just NO. It's not the money. It's the principle. AVOID CONN'S. Their name is "CON" for a reason. Lying, uncaring con-artist CROOKS. Update: they issued a full refund (instead of providing a working refrigerator at the agreed-upon sales price.) Of course this only means that Conn's will repair that broken lemon of a fridge, and then foist it off on someone (possibly YOU) as a supposedly "new" unit when it's actually used and refurbished. When you manage to get the CEO/PRESIDENT of a company who preaches SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE to every customer and the first few words out of his mouth are HOW DID YOU GET MY NUMBER? Adolfo is a horrible manager first off he showed us all items that were apparently "out of stock" so we end up taking the floor model which was on slacks or whatever. If you come to this store be prepared to be followed around like a hawk from their employees. They put sales pressure on you constantly asking if you want to know more about the item and if you want to put it on hold so no one else buys it. They ask if you want to see if an item is available just because you're looking at it. It's too much, very uncomfortable, and we walked out because of it. I purchased a cooktop on Jan 10 while a promotion for free pots and pans with purchase was going on, the sales guy stated they were back ordered but he would call when they came in. I called twice to check on them and they were still "waiting", I call today 2/11 and I'm told that the promotion was not valid the day I made my purchase and that it was their mistake for not taking the sign down; however, they will not be honoring it. I authorize to run my credit to purchase a living room set my husband and I finally decided on after visiting several stores. After the credit was ran and approved we get the most unprofessional news that the pricing on this set was wrongly. I have attached the picture of the advertising. I get offered to go ahead purchase it at full price and wait to see if the price goes down so I can get the discount. Oh, the deadline was a month. Spoke to Norma Garcia without no other solution other than we can't do anything about it. As you can see there was nothing done to honor the deceiving advertising. I've basically purchased all my furniture from Conn's and I could not be happier with the service they provided. The Manager was super sweet and helpful and the delivery was quick! In years past, I've purchased furniture from Star, Gallery, Bassett and Rooms To Go and they all had weird delivery/inventory issues, poor products, the list goes on. Conns on the other hand had the best customer service I've ever received.... And the furniture has been great! Can't wait to go back and pick out a treadmill and flooring! read more

I really wanted to give this store 2 stars because of the tactics used by the sales staff to persuade you to buy something, but I understand, these salesman have to make a living. I just wish they would take a different approach. Have you ever went to a used car lot. That feeling that you get when you went is similar to the one you will get when you walk into this Conn's. A salesman will greet you and follow you around throughout the store. Even if you tell him/her that you will find them if you need help. Chances are, if they don't have any other customers to harass, they are going to be hovering over you and ask you what you think. The good side is that some of these guys are knowledgeable about some of these products, though they never say anything negative about any of them. The other upside to shopping here is that they have pretty decent sales in their ads. When buying TVs and other appliances, I found that Conn's had the best deals overall. If you can handle being stalked by a vulture as you browse at the excellent sales, Conn's may do it for you. read more

I originally purchased a Samsung chef collection refrigerator (4999.99) in January of 2016 and purchased a 4 year extended warranty. I had a problem within the first 30 days and was ultimately denied a return and made to have repairs performed right off the bat. Multiple instance have occurred whereby the ice maker has issues over the term of the warranty and extensive repairs were made. Two instances I called for service this year and the technician stated there was no problem with the ice maker despite it needed to have the refrigerator reset in order to get the ice maker to function properly. Last week we called for service due to the ice maker leaking water when you attempted to dispense ice. The machine would produce but would overload the bucket. The technician from conns came out and advised us that they would attempt to order parts but the gentleman advised the system showed discontinued for two of the parts. The end of the week arrived and a technician phoned and indicated he would be coming to repair the refrigerator with two of the four parts. I expressed concern that this may not fix the condition but was assured it would be fixed. The technician came and actually managed to make the refrigerator not produce ice or water anymore and left without a resolution. It was only after reaching out to the store I purchased from and asking the store manager to intercede that I got a resolution of being told I had been issued a store credit for 4999.99. I asked the woman who contacted if this could be used for multiple items since I had not seen any higher end options available at the store or on their website. The woman replied it was store credit and I could use it as I wish. I came to the store at cypress wood and 45 north on 10/28 and was informed I could only get a single refrigerator and any amount over that amount would be lost. Clearly printed in the disclosures that I signed and acknowledged when I purchased the item it states that if a similar replacement item is not available they may issue store credit or a check not to exceed the original purchase price. The staff I have spoken to at conns customer service have told me I should be grateful for what I am getting. I came into the store and selected the best suited replacement based on our family needs that was only 3299.99. Available at Home Depot or Best Buy for 2999.99. I was told my the sales associate they would attach a 4 year warranty despite my lack of confidence in their warranty or wishes to do further business with them. This came to a total of 4200ish but still less than my original purchase price. Conns has simply told me that even though they don't have inventory to meet my needs they do not have to accommodate. I would strongly advise potential customers to take stock of my experience when considering if you purchase from Conns as a point of fact I had an extended warranty replacement just this year with Lowe's where they gave me a check for the original purchase price and was able to go out and find the most competitive deal for replacement. Conns is not competitive with their competition on extended warranties so do your homework before purchasing. As for my case I refuse to spend the time to take them to binding arbitration so I will try them in the court of public opinion. read more

I purchased a Washer & Dryer. Washer was installed incorrectly. Clothes were ruined as the Cold Water setting was actually HOT WATER due to incorrect install. Filed a claim. No response to the claim - still. Setup auto payments online and increased my required monthly amount in an effort to be DONE with Conns. Received confirmation email regarding the autopay for increased amount. When the payment finally hit, it was for a decreased amount and no one could tell me why. Transferred from one department to another seeking assistance. CONN'S will definitely give you the run around. Please seek other options. You have been warned! read more

I ordered furniture from this store on the 17th of July for delivery on the 26th between 9am and 12pm. I was called at 11:49am the 26th to be told that they could not make delivery. I was told to wait and they would call me back later to see if they could make delivery that day. Later on, around 1:30pm I called back to inquire about the delivery. I was told that they would not be able to deliver the furniture for another week. I called the next day to cancel the order because, I decided to go to another company and did not want to wait another week for the order. I had already waited a week and a half. The following day on the 27th I went to the store to make sure the order was canceled and to collect my deposit of $630.83. The manager told me that they could not give me a refund there. I then asked why not, and was told that accounting handles that, and that I would receive a check for the money in 7-10 days. I then asked the manager to give me a receipt showing that I cancelled the order that day, and to have the receipt show that I was due a refund of 630.84. He said he couldn't do that, that their system was not set up for that. I told him I wasn't leaving until I had something in hand to prove I was due a refund. He then generated an invoice showing a negative balance, which I was to assume would be sufficient enough that they would pay back my deposit. I asked the manager when I would get the refund, and he said 7-10 days. I asked him to sign it and he refused. I waited the 7-10 days and an 6 additional days to make sure I would have my check. No one has contacted me during these 16 days to see why I canceled the order, or to give me a status on my refund. I contacted the customer service line and was told there was nothing they could do for me. I was told three different stories as to the status of my refund, from, you will have to talk to accounting, to, it will be another 7-10 days maybe after the accounting department does its review, to it looks like they may have sent it out. read more

WORST buying experience ever. It took FOUR deliveries to get our new GE refrigerator delivered without damage. Two of them had deep scratches on the same areas inside and one had a defective door seal. All of this could have been prevented if the Conns warehouse had taken the time to simply inspect the product BEFORE leaving the warehouse, especially after the first one was delivered damaged. I spent lot of time contacting their corporate office and so called customer service department but they were of little help. The problem lies with both their warehouse inspection program and GE's quality assurance. I was told at least five of these refrigerators were found with deep scratches in the same exact area. IF you make an appliance purchase here make SURE to inspect it very well inside and out before accepting it. read more

These salespeople are snakes. One of them lied his butt off and told a 90 year old woman, who wanted to pay cash btw; " to not worry, put your checkbook up, it won't cost you a dime to finance" . They will tell you that there is no cost of you pay by a certain time, but it is a lie. There are hidden fees and the salesmen make more money when you finance. Buyers Beware.... DO NOT buy ANYTHING from CONNS!!! We bought a 3 piece living room set for our den, a sectional for our movie room, and also an oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave/ vent combo. We had no problems getting financing or getting the furniture delivered. The problem is the poor quality of the appliances and furniture. Our oven went out within the first year. The oven was supposed to be under factory warranty. The repairman advised us that what was represented as a new model oven was actually 2 years old. The appliance company did fix the oven. Next is the repeated problems with the dishwasher in which we continue to fix. We purchased a warranty plan from Conns to cover any problems with the furniture for 4 years. The sofa, love seat, and recliner have had to be resown multiple times. The reclining mechanism has been replaced on the sofa and love seat, and the entire back of the sofa was rebuilt due to poor/ cheap quality. The wood used to build the structure of the furniture is so thin that it breaks easily from daily use of sitting on the furniture. We have also had the warranty companies repairman out multiple times to fix the sectional same cheap construction issues. Now the sectional chaise is deemed defective and unfixable. The warranty states that furniture will be repaired or replaced at no additional cost to the customer. The chaise is not repairable. Conns wants to charge us 400.00 to give us a new chaise from a different manufacturer because it is a more expensive company's chaise. They do not know if it will match. They state that they are no longer able to get it from the manufacturer of our sofa. This is the reason that we bought an extended warranty. I never dreamed that we could pay so many thousands of dollars and have such terrible quality furniture quality and customer service. We will never buy another item from Conns. I am relieved to report that I had a very good experience at this location. I specifically was impressed by the sales person named Nicholas Rivera. He took great care of us. I asked him to give us time to look around and if and when we needed help, we would ask for his assistance. He gave us a chance to look around and when we needed him to show the products, he took time to explain and compare products. He was not pushy at all. He also explained the transaction we had. Worst repair ssrvice I have ever experienced. I have been without my washer for 10 days as of today and it is still not repaired. The problem? A hole in a discharge hose. Conns does not stock spare parts so they had to order it. That has already taken one week. Now they must schedule a time to come out to install. The cost so far is over $200 and might go higher. And this is only to replace a $10 hose!!! All charges must be paid upfront. No one at Conns seems to care how lousy (and expensive) their repair service is. I am done with Conns forever. read more

Once I waited in line for hours to be told the tv I wanted was sold out and the guy behind me gets sat down and asks for the same tv and his salesman goes and gets it from the back. Made my second mistake going there for a water filter in my fridge. Bought the wrong one, went to return it the NEXT day and 4 people ignored me until I interrupted them by asking could they take my item back. They looked at me like I had 2 heads and said I would have to wait for the manager but he wouldn't be there for 15 or 20 minutes. I left and called the customer service line and they said so sorry, you can return it and shouldn't have to see a manager but will have to pay 15% restocking fee!!
