A very average store with very friendly employees. The store itself was very clean. If you aren't familiar with the location, it's where a former Food Lion used to be years ago, down the strip from the AC Moore. The store is quite large and has a bit of a Kmart feel, not high-end at all. We actually went in looking to replace our mattress and had a very friendly, very patient sales woman. We stopped by the tv department, prices were pretty good for early Black Friday deals. We did leave empty-handed, though - just overwhelmed by the options, selection and truly not knowing if we wanted to spend any money. Doubt we'd buy furniture, the prices were quite high on the few pieces that we looked at. A tb console that we thought was nice was $700. We've definitely seen a comparable one for less. Side note - ladies restroom was spotless. read more

My husband and I purchased furniture for our daughter's home. The furniture arrived yesterday (May 24). The loveseat had a tear from a box cutter knife, so I refused the loveseat. The sofa and oversized chair had stains, which the delivery person told me should have come off. I replied that this was brand-new expensive furniture and that I should not have to take stains off of new furniture. A few hours after they left, I noticed another stain on the bottom of the oversized chair. I was told that my husband and I would receive a call within forty-five minutes regarding the loveseat replacement; however, a couple of hours passed, and I had to contact the store. I spoke with Sean, one of the managers, who was extremely helpful, polite, and professional. I emailed him with additional pictures and am now waiting for a resolution. Once I receive a resolution, I will post a follow-up review. I just got off the phone with Victoria (manager), a different experience from Sean. She was rude and unprofessional. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT SHOP AT CONNS if you want quality furniture and exceptional customer service. Still no resolution, I will post a follow-up. Dr. Johnson read more

In contact, but no solution yesterday (Friday) and now customer support is closed at weekend! Problem is getting worst since I decided to use the product upstairs (in the carpet zone) to not pay the re-stock fee.... and at unpacking the product I saw that the power cord was missing in thebox!!!! Funny if not tragic to myself.... really bad service from Conn's.... need to close this to never more pass even in front of this store! read more

customer service is terrible I walk in was greeted by young fella, helping someone after he finish helping the guy he never came over to help me. It was two other women. They were sitting at the desk talking about HR right behind the desk they didn't acknowledge me or try to help me. I stood there for 15 minutes after I walked around for 30 minutes still no one helped me at all make it make sense. I really need a bed for my dad everything happens for reason. then I receive a phone call to come shop with them. I told the lady I tried that already you didn't acknowledge me. read more

I purchased a GE stove less than 6 months ago. Over two weeks ago, my oven and clock stopped working. I still have burner top capability. I have reached out to the company regarding the one-year standard warranty and repair. They advised me if they sent someone out and it was minor, I will have to pay over $400. This is with a one-year warranty. We have been without an oven for weeks now. I am still making payments on this GE range with no working oven. Who or where do I turn to for help on this issue? My mother has said no more appliances from CONNs. I'm not savy on repairs. What is minor? The oven doesn't work. We have tried the circuit breaker and unplugging and plugging the electric cord. ????????? Jean read more

We purchased furniture last year during COVID and were told it would be a few months. It was understandable and we were ok with waiting. A few weeks in we get a call that said if we don't take the floor model our order will be cancelled. I requested a discount because let's face it we don't know how long the couch sat on the floor how many people tried it etc. I was promised a discount and it would show on my statement which almost a year in had never showed up . To make matters worse a few months in the couch stopped reclining . I won't purchase furniture from them again however their customer service was great as well and the delivery installation . read more

My name is Gracie O. I bought an adjustable bed base from Conns last January. So far, a technician has been to my home 4 times and replaced the power box for the base once about to call them again because the base stopped working. I am so fed up with this base and Conns. It has been a nightmare working with Conn's repair department. When am I getting a new, updated adjustable bed base, Conns? read more

they close hours early on random days for fun! absolutely zero help from staff. they close at 6, not 7 like it says online. waste of a drive ! read more

As of yet I still haven't heard from anyone. Even though the response said someone was in contact with me that was far from the truth. This company is difficult to deal with and they continuously prove it. read more

I purchased a new washer and dryer that was delivered on Friday. They extolled the virtues of their extended warranty and interest free financing. On Sunday, the dryer started to display an error message. I couldn't get it to reset, I called Conn's to get a replacement. They told me it would be repaired! I've had it less that 72 hours and your not going to replace the unit with a new one? Sears, Lowe's, would have replaced it with no question. This makes me wonder about the warranty they sold me....I will NEVER purchase from Conn's again. read more

First time here they have appliances and furniture televisions even grills does not seem to be any bargains here but an option if you are shopping at Lowes you could compare prices but seems to be a store that caters to people with no credit read more

My Fiancé and I went into this store to browse the furniture selection. Upon entering we were greeted at the front door and asked what brought us in. We told the sales man that we were looking at furniture to get ideas. The man kept pressing for a better answer saying things like, "well there has to be something specific..". Again, we told him nothing specific just browsing. Instead, of letting it go he rephrased his question and asked it another time. He made a comment that he "we came there for something specific just like he came here to work today" and "needs to say the days specials because it's his job". At this point he's following us, raising his voice, and making us extremely uncomfortable. We ended to leaving. Worst sales pitch and costumer service I've had in a while. read more

Absolutely hand down worst company ever.. BUYERS BEWARE --- I purchased what i thought was new furniture BUT yet to find out they were aware they charged me full price for my items that were second hand items per store Mgrs. Barry. The furniture arrived damaged, they again were aware of this because i was told this after they picked it back up and they tried to deliver the "NEW FURNITURE" I refused the new furniture and they took back the "second hand furniture" on 7-21 . Here we are 8-4-2022 and i still have yet to get a refund. Ive called everyone (BBB, filed complaints with CONNS Customer service # and filed a dispute with my credit card company) Conns is ignoring them as well. You are not allowed to speak with the District Mgr. who i am sure has no idea how these stores are being run. Ive been told i am only trying to help you but if they were i would have received my refund 7-22-2022. read more

So here is the switch. If you have credit issues or anything that prevents you from financing, this store will work with you and get you financed. If you are a cash buyer, this store will work for you as well. If you just need financing, again they will work with you. The problem is, they feel like a predatory company in their lending and selling practices. I will cover quality in a few minutes. You want to not just read the fine print, but understanding it; financing a 800 couch will turn quickly into 1000$ even with their 0% cash option. Buying an 800 couch cash will also add up to 1000$. Lots of fees in their fine print, lots. I purchased a living room set cash and thought it was decent price but at the POS, all of a sudden I am a few hundred more than I expected. By that point, I went on with the sale. However, somehow I had a coupon for 50$ and they had to cancel the sale 3 times because they kept forgetting to add in the coupon. I went to this store because they came up in one of those flyers in the mail and they had larger styled furniture. Which is what I wanted, but a year into the sofa I am disappointed. The couch is going flat and while still comfortable I have to sit on the throw pillows to have some height. The plastic leg broke when I hit it with my vacuum and I had to order the replacements directly from the manufacturer. Delivery left out one pillow and it was never sent. Overall, just no. Go with a different company. Find quality and figure out your price and payment. I would not return or shop here. read more

The sales staff and Manager were very helpful. Their displayed equipped is thoughtfully laid out and easy to navigate. The one huge plus with Conn's is that they stock what they sell, YESSS!! Not many furniture companies can say the same. This is a huge bonus when you don't want to wait weeks to a month for your new furniture to arrive. I didn't give them five stars simply due to the odor in the back left corner that seemed to potentially be coming from the sewer system? It was noticeable and made you want to move along. Conn's spent a lot of money renovating this old grocery store, however the plumbing may have been overlooked. I highly recommend trying them if you're ready to receive furniture the next day! read more

This is the worse company ever to deal with. When we purchased our items we was not informed that the protection amount was per item, which made our payoff several hundreds more than expected. Payment due on the 4th on the 5th collections are calling 4 and 5 times a day. Either they are hard up for money or they need training in customer relations. My suggestion is not to deal with them at all. BUYER BEWARE.  I would have went to ARRONS if I knew then what I know now, same quality of furniture, lower payments, lower interest rates and shorter agreement contracts. read more

The sales person Loren and the sales manager were excellent. However the customer service department is the worse I have ever seen! My washer was delivered broken supposed to do a swap out, sent the same delivery people as "inspectors" to ok the swap out. They said they machine is definetely defective and we should hear within 24 to 48 hrs when the new machine will come? What? I paid $500 for a new working washing machine thats what I want! read more

Well... I've been happy with my purchase for ALMOST a year now until I just realized that they had my 12 month interest free term set to expire in 10 months which adds an additional $1500 to my balance. What's even crazier is that when inquiring about that part, I was made aware that they have also been charging me for unemployment insurance and property insurance even though I requested to NOT have it. I specifically remember telling the rep that I don't want the unemployment insurance because my finances are great and I wasn't worried about losing my job. They refuse to refund any of it because I didn't notice it within 30 days on the statements that they don't send. Not the statements that I didn't receive because of improper communication details but the statements I don't receive because they are "Old School" and don't send anyone statements at all. I will never purchase from this company again and I don't recommend that you do. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau due to the fact that they won't refund the money they STOLE from me... I guess they have the right name because they are Con artists! read more

Contacted "Con's" again since I had not heard back about my complaint. The con's corporate rep stated that my complaint had already been reviewed and they were not going to honor the warranty. I told her that I was not in agreement and had asked for it to be submitted again and I was told it would be. The con's corporate rep stated she would and get back to me by Friday 6/3/2020. Well low and behold no one called. So I called again and was told the second review had been completed and that I had been informed. News to me since I hadn't received any such calI ; I asked who I had spoken too and the representative informed me that it was the same person I had asked to review my complaint the second time. WHAT !! if she was the one submitting; why did she tell me it was going to be sent back ??????? In the mean time here's the response I got in Yelp. "7/10/2020 Andor W., Thank you for choosing Conn's Home Plus and taking the time to share your feedback. We take this information very seriously and wish to investigate further. We have located your information and will be in contact with you. Really not as far as i'm concerned. I'm placing a formal complaint with the State AG. Because this to me is nothing but a perfect example of the old bait and switch. Your told one thing and yet another materializes when you go to submit a claim. I thought the bait and switch was reserved for used car sales. Guess I was wrong. My suggestion to anyone considering doing business with this outfit. DON'T !! This is the first time i've reviewed a business. And now you know the reason. Buyer beware. Would have rated it a zero but the site requires a rating. read more

If there is a negative star, that would be this store's score. I should have believed the reviews here. The worst store and just as the name says CON artists. The new washing machine I bought from them was busted. Something is wrong with the motors or something was stuck inside. This was verified by their own delivery guy. But they won't replace it. They said they can only send in a technician to repair. What? REPAIR A BRAND NEW WASHING MACHINE? The store agent said either call Whirlpool or they send a technician to repair. I believe this was not a new washer, it was the display that they sent, and it could be a returned item. DO NOT BUY AT CONN'S HOME SHOP, THE PRODUCTS ARE ALL RETURNED PRODUCTS. They will show you a new one, but deliver a returned broken product! If you really do buy something, make sure you check the computation, because they will add a lot of things on the bill. read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE! I purchased a table in store on the 25th of June. Was told about 3-4 days until I pick it up from the warehouse it is now 18 days of nothing. I Call to speak with manager and they say you will get a call back and never do. This has happened 3 times! Will never purchase anything again from this shady store. Especially when I just spent over $3,000 in furniture with you guys. Never again will I shop here and I advise everyone else not too as well! read more

Whatever you do, do not buy anything here. Their online policy states there's a 14 day window for electronics. I brought it back 3 days later due to it not working and they want to charge a restocking fee and tell me to take it to the Apple store. It's brand new never been opened. So i go tot the Apple store to find out they the MacBook Air was sold Dec 2018 and there isn't anything they can do. Conn's basically sold me a defective product and now wants me to do the leg work to get it fixed. . DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. read more

Do not buy anything from this company they do not stand behind their product for their deliveries. I don't know how this company got that big but not being truthful to the customers. At the end of the day if you're not truthful for your customers you will go out of business. The store has very bad management problems and apparently nobody cares. Do not buy for this company if you want to know please reach out to me and I will be glad to tell you more. Robert Corbett read more

If you decide you may want to finance some purchases, don't. They actually make you supply your social security card, which I think is for some type of fraud. Even the Social Security website says you don't need your card as long as you know your number. Also, the prices are so high that the 0% interest is not a deal, their interest and other fees are all incorporated in those high prices. Back to Home Depot and Lowes for me. read more
