we've bought a lot of furniture and appliances from conn's and after 3 years all I can conclude is conn's is so greedy with their money but have no regard for their costumers. we've bought washing machines multiple times that break within a year of use. this time around we get extended warranty, yet we are going on 2 weeks without a working machine because Conn's doesn't regulate their technicians time accordingly (which causes people to be stuck at home for hours and if you have to reschedule because you have dr appts or curbside they make you wait a whole nother week and some) they don't respect your time after they cash the check read more

I been a Conn's client for many years and was very satisfied with Thier products and pricing.. recently I bought a sofa sleeper they tore it while putting it in a room the fabric was torn ..I called management with no avail i called the warehouse in McAllen Texas where it was shipped from they gave me the run around tactic...I am very disappointed..looking for other places do do my business with when buying my furniture for my rental houses....thanks read more

I purchased a mattress from Conn's in Harlingen and the saleslady made a mistake on the invoice causing the wrong mattress to be delivered to my home. The store knowing of the mistake was overruled by corporate which said no returns on mattress once delivered. I'm stuck with a mattress I did not order and cannot use. Claims people did nothing to investigate the cause of the mix up on the invoice and wanted me to show proof of their mistake which I cannot do. Conn's customer service is worthless. Instead of trying to help customers they become defensive. Also Conn's in Harlingen shared my personnel information with at least two credit agencies without my permission. I paid for the mattress in full with my master card and never filled out any application for credit yet I received a Conn's credit card and another letter from Florida thanking me for my credit application. Not Worthy of CUSTOMER SERVICE, I got approval for my own credit yet the guy says he got it approved for me, Now I have X amount of credit floating around and they have no answers as to where it is, called in and Jaime asks for my information, then starts snooping around into my other credit accounts like mattress firm account to be exact and I called in to local store in HARLINGEN, TX and they want to do another hard pull on my credit. Something sounds very fishy, time to start calling better business bureau and creditors, like Experian, etc. read more

I purchases an Adjustable bed from Conn's in Harlingen, Texas less than a month ago. I haven't even made the first payment yet and the base of the bed broke and is unusable. I called to make a repair order and they cannot get to me any sooner than Friday (today is Tuesday). So where in the world am I suppose to sleep? I then called the store and was told there is no return policy on "furniture". Is that not what this store sells, I now believe they have the "no return policy because they will not back the product they sell. The refused to even give me a loaner base for this bed. I paid $4000 for this product and I am unable to use it one month after purchase. Since there is a no return policy, this will be my final purchase from this place and I will not recommend any of my friends or family to shop there. If you are needing furniture please do the research for the return policy before spending serious money. read more

I haven't been there in a while, but when I did go last time I found the prices to be considerably higher than the local competition and from what I could gather from the hoards of salespeople that were in the store breathing down my neck, they are commission based which means - you guessed it - high pressure. Worst place to purchase from! I was so happy with my first purchase with them. I went a second time, and was so happy to qualify for no interest financing! I was helped by a representative who didn't even know how to use their computers. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and completed my purchase of a washer and dryer. She offered me pedastools to place them on, since they were a good price, I purchased them. Then on delivery day I found out the pedastools she sold me were not for my washer. I call the store for help and now have to go pick up new ones in person to keep my same delivery date! Then they finally deliver the washer dryer and the pedastools I had to pick up we're broken! I still had them deliver due to having to go out of town the next day! Bit the bullet and took the pedastool to get fixed. BUT THATS NOT THE END OF IT! A month passes by and I go to make my payment and come to find out I DID NOT GRT THE FINANCING I WAS PROMISED! It's been two months and I just got communication that I cannot get the financing I was promised! NEVER GOING TO PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN! read more

We purchased originally on Feb 14 2013 from Conn's. The stove was defective and LG (the stove maker) sent us a refund back to Conn's. So now we had a store credit at conn's so we could pick up another stove. It took a full week for head office of conn's to tell the local conn;s store we had a credit. After receiving a call from the local store, we went down to pick out another stove and return the broke stove. This store promised i could pick up the new stove I purchased on May 7/20014 the next day. I was then told on May 8 2014 that I could NOT pick up the stove and that because of the mix up they would deliver it to me for free on May 10.2014. We called the corp office, the upper manager staff told us, they would call the delivery center and MAKE SURE I would have a stove by May 10, 2014. The home office did NOT call the deliver center or the local office to tell them to expedite shipping. On May 9,2014 the local manager, (Izreal and Jamia) no problem, do not worry will have had it to you on Sat (may 10, 2014). We had requested many many we wanted to pick up the stove instead of waiting (we have had NO stove going on 3 weeks now). May 10, 2014 we received a call from our sale person, she called to let us know we would NOT be receiving the stove today, NOW we can NOT have it until Tuesday of this coming week! We called the local store to find out why. They told us, they had NOT ordered the stove on Wed May 7, 2014 like they said they would. Jamia, the head manager of the local then told us "our delivery policy has changed, No one is able to pick up to any item they purchase from the store. All items have to be delivered by conn's to the customers homes" and that the people who told us we could pick up the stove must have been on leave or off work during the policy change! Ok, so you are telling me, all your sales people and the home office have NO idea about this policy change? We have repeatedly requested a refund of the $974 we had as in store credit, all we get is we have to contact the head office for a refund. They have my money, they have my broke stove and I have NOTHING! I could have walked into home depot, sears or best buy and walked out the door with a stove but NOT with CONN's! I have gotten NOTHING but LIES after LIES from Conn's! I will NEVER buy anything else with Conn's! read more
