Good service at lunch. Quiet with pleasant decor. Food was good, not great. I had the lamb gyro…read moreplatter. The side salad was a generous size. The chips were okay but I would have preferred lemon potato wedges. The meat was tender and moist, a generous serving, but did not have a strong lamb flavor.

Too lazy to cook? Well, let someone else cook for you. Fresh 'n Fit is an Atlanta based company…read morethat cooks fresh meals that you can heat at home. How does it work? Well, you order online. Then you pick it up at one of their designated locations on either Monday and/or Thursday, depending on how much you order. They don't deliver it to your house, except for certain circumstances. So you actually have to do some work and go somewhere and pick it up. It sure beats cooking and cleaning up afterwards. They have a ton of selections and options and cater to almost any dietary restriction from keto, paleo, vegetarian, hGC, gluten free, etc. That is one huge benefit of Fresh 'n Fit. If you're on a specific diet, this is the one stop place to order a week's worth of food. To heat it up, you either pop it into the microwave and cook it in 30 second intervals. That's my preferred method. You can also dump the food on an oven-safe tray and cook it in the oven. But nuking it is the more convenient option for me. They are not frozen. They are fresh, like their name says. So you gotta eat em fast. I think their self life is about 3-4 days. That's why their pickup days are Monday and Thursday. So how are the food? They're okay. Also, each meal comes out to about 12-14$ per meal. Honestly, I found the meals to be boring. I tried the 5 meal plan for the week. I did like a few of their meals, but most tasted boring and bland. I mean, they're supposed to be healthy and fresh, so maybe they're not scrumptious as the usual, unhealthy options you get at normal take-out places. Also, the foods looked like frozen meals, and heating them up was a bit troublesome. They didn't have specific instructions. You just have to cook it 30 seconds at a time and guess when they're all heat up. With that method, you'll have pockets of super-hot or super cold in your food. If you're not on any special diet, don't want to eat healthy foods, and rather eat delicious unhealthy ones, this is not the place to go. However, if you are on a specific diet, too busy/lazy to cook, and need simple options for food, this is a good solution. I like the idea of Fresh 'n Fit and would like to support local businesses, but it's not for me.

A trip around the world and a walk down memory lane…read more It's been decades since I stepped foot inside the Buford Highway Farmers Market, and being back felt like a beautiful reunion. The last time I walked these aisles, I was with my mama, Donna Theresa. So much has changed since then, yet the soul of this place remains as vibrant as ever. It feels more expansive than I remember. A true global treasure tucked right here in the city. I'm still obsessed with how they organize the aisles by country. In just one afternoon, I traveled from Korea to Eastern Europe to Central America, no passport required! I was officially "team sample" the moment they offered! Unlike the heavy, sugary profile of traditional American cakes, these were a masterclass in balance. I tried the Neapolitan, a stunning phyllo-layered creation that was light, buttery, and perfectly textured. But the Lemon Cream Cake? It stole the entire show. It looked picture-perfect on the shelf, and the taste was even better. It was so bright, airy, and just the right amount of decadence. Coming back here wasn't just a grocery trip; it was a win for my palate and my heart. Now that I'm back in the area, you can bet this is becoming a regular stop on my rotation. Do yourself a favor and make sure you check the exp dates on EVERYTHING. This market routinely…read moresells old/expiring goods because there's too much sh*t in the store to keep up with inventory (see others' reviews). This is by far this market's biggest drawback. I purchased a pack of tofu along with some other items on March 11. I open the fridge a few days later on March 15, finally ready to prepare the tofu, just to see that the exp date on the pack was March 10. This picture was taken March 15 upon this discovery. I meant to update this review a while ago. I just can't spend money here anymore knowing that I'm liable to accidentally purchase old products. As customers, we should not have to be this vigilant at a grocery store... it's ridiculous.
