This place is great! 1) Location... Right in the Frankfurt Airport/ train station. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn nearby and this place was just steps away. 2) Food... We had breakfast here.... The Connection 5 omelet was HUGE... and really good... fresh and made to order. Also had a fruit cup that was large and full of fresh fruit. The coffee was good too! 3) Price... Initially the server was very standoffish when we asked for the veggie burger without the chili dip and to add BBQ sauce (it's listed as "vegetarian", but the chili dip is not vegetarian)... He rolled his eyes and walked away. Once we got our food, the veggie burger was like a potato pancake with veggies in it. We really enjoyed the change of pace from an American veggie burger. As we were at the restaurant, the server became more friendly and at the end we were joking with him. Overall, the restaurant has a good location, decent prices, and good food. read more

Let me add my praise for this restaurant. I rarely give five stars but Connection 5 deserves it. The food is better than the neighboring Hilton/Hilton Garden Inn and the coffee is even better than the Starbucks next door. A great place when staying the hotels of the Squaire (their spelling). If you've never been to The Squaire, the place is massive. The building is 660 meters long and made of glass. Unfortunately from the outside it looks exactly like the thing you use to scrape callouses off your feet, The Egg? There probably isn't much reason to go here unless your catching a train (built directly over the long distance train station) or a flight (attached to the Frankfurt Airport) but if you're here, eat at Connection 5. read more

I'm a little surprised by the high ratings at this restaurant. Obviously catering to the traveling crowd the location was very convenient to us staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. We went down for dinner and the place was about half full, yet we couldn't get anybody to make eye contact with us to seat us (several staff walked right by us), so we sat ourselves at an empty table. After about ten minutes of still being ignored, we switched to a different table and finally got a waiter to come over. I had the wiener schnitzel and it was good. Nowhere near any top 10 lists for me as far as schnitzel goes but it made for a good meal. My son thoroughly enjoyed his hamburger though and did say it was his best meal he had on our Germany trip. Well... I went in for Wiener Schnitzel with the white gravy. Nope! They still have it but now there is NO sauce/gravy. The sauce they offered me was ketchup. I had to leave! I was actually looking forward to this. Too bad. I was lucky because when I stopped downtown to watch the riots at ECB we stopped at a place and I told the waitress to bring me her favorite. To my surprised she brought out Wiener Schnitzel with green sauce. Delicious. I didn't have cell service so I couldn't check in there. read more

Superbly prepared food with fresh and delicious flavor. Both Breakfast and Supper were outstanding. I especially enjoyed the Currywurst, Apfelstrudel, and Bavaria Classic Breakfast. Also good strong kaffee. Well worth a stop. read more

Billed as "Best Burgers in Town". I hope that is not the case! Burger was ok, but not worth the 35 minute wait after I ordered. I got the BBQ burger - billed as having cheese, bacon, fried onions, and BBQ sauce. Also had lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. Onions were really more grilled, not breaded and fried. After a long drive down the autobahn we swaggered to the Hilton Garden Inn, with the long check In line, looking forward to a great hamburger after a week of sausage & schnitzel overload. Happened to notice the best burger in town advertisement at Connection 5. Walked in, seemed like a nice enough place , although we encountered an awkward moment when we tried to sit and all the employees refused to make eye contact (foreshadowing). Ordered a dirty martini and 2 pilsners. Although initial service was slow good company negated the wait time. Beers were fine but a bit tepid, however the "shot glass dirty martini," devoid of gin and olives further foreshadowed our future. After multiple attempted recipe corrections our third party member ended up with a pilsner and a valuable lesson about what 'martini' means in Germany. After an hour and and a half of trying to order a $20 burger we came to the conclusion the language barrier was unsurpassable and abandoned the entire operation. Currently enjoying martinis and burgers at the Hilton upstairs (5 stars) one star beers weren't so bad and mostly zero isn't an option read more

Let me start by saying that I travel through Frankfurt at least once a month and I also eat at the connection five; however, tonight I with 2 peers sat down to have a couple of beers and to our amazement we watched mice run across the restaurent and bar floors - when we told the staff they simply replied no "you" must be mistaken and treated it like a joke. Again, no apologizes or shock that they have a critical unhealthy issue just the "courtesy" we will tell management. I REPEAT MICE RUNNING IN THE RESTAURANT- DO NOT EAT HERE UNTIL THIS HAS BEEN CLEARED BY THE LOCAL HEALTH AGENCY - that is the first call in the morning for me prior to my flight.
