This church is made of awesome…read more When we went looking for a place to worship, I did what I usually do: sneak in the back row and try to be unnoticed. Not here. By the time we got to the peace, half of the church had introduced themselves and wanted to know who I was. So, for the first time since I moved here 10 years ago, I have real friends at church. I'm just not another guy in the pew. There's tons of young families, lots of kids, and activities (most of which provide licensed childcare). A typical month has several dinners, a wine study & bible tasting (that's not a misprint), classes, and a tennis league. Whatever age, nationality, orientation, and whether you have kids or not, they want you to feel welcome and a part of the community, and there's stuff for you to do in addition to worship. The pastor is great, but it's the whole community that makes St. Catherine's home for us. It just feels right.

The pastor and the members went out of their way to get to know us - starting the very first week. (Good luck sneaking in. This is a welcoming place!) The preaching is on point, working through a passage each week, verse by verse. There are Bible studies and classes for the entire family throughout the week. We have made cornerstone our church home, and have found that the warm welcome only gets better as you plug in and become a part of this incredible body of believers.

The Youth Group is run by very caring adults who Love the Lord, Jesus and Love God's word as the only truth there is in this wicked world. The Bible!! I've been able to attend and participate in their church and mission trip for just about 11 years now and I have seen firsthand their selfless love towards anyone that walks through their doors. Inviting me back and dealing with the issues that caused me to leave are two different things. There was no acknowledgement of the disrespectful behavior and the leadership is very lacking in this church (unless leadership is defined as I want my way). There is no desire to listen there. The ministers should have failed any counseling courses because they violate any of the basic procedures that they would tell you in school. They are a total failure on the ministry and pastoral side of things despite trying to put up an image on social media and at services. it all looks good on the surface but when push comes to shove....not so much.
