During the service while you are asked to respond "I will" we did not answer loud enough according to this Rev and he stated to the 30 family members, "Are you stupid!" Now I find that very rude. Second he talks to my son and asks him "what is you are looking for the church to do today?" Now my son should of answered "baptism" right away. But my son gets nervous n did not answer right away, but that does not give the Rev the right to talk sternly to my son and say "don't stare into space give me a answer." Again my son should of answered quickly but no matter what we were already taken aback by the "stupid" comment so my son got even more flustered. This is his child's christening and the Rev is talking to us like this. Thirdly as soon as the ceremony was over he states rather loudly "who is dad?" You just scolded him 5 minutes before. Anyway my sons raises his hand and the Rev asks "where is the donation envelope?" Loud enough for all guests to hear. I was amazed that this was done by any Rev. I called the rectory on Monday two days after to speak to the head pastor. No reply. I called today Thursday still no reply. All I was looking for was the pastor to tell me he would talk to the Rev and that would of been the end of it. But since it did not happen the respectful way, I am writing this review. The Rev just tarnished the ceremony. If I could of given less than one star I would have.

It was SUPER crowded and they should probably arrange rides in one area rather than spread out all over that way you don't have kids running into people and getting seperated from their parents.

From the beautiful stainglass windows to the warmth of a smile, handshake or hug from one of the patrons in the pew, this location is a great place to worship. As Christians their motto is "Open Doors, Open Hearts, Open Minds". As a guest you feel welcomed right away and can choose to quickly find your the way (purpose) that brought you there or jump in and join the family sorta speak in worship...totally up to you. Being a part of this closely knit community of patrons is definitely worth at least the hour sermon. If you want more fellowship as they would call it, you can opt to participate in their coffee hour right after the service (9:30a-10:30a), for a cookie, coffee, piece of cake over some good conversation with new neighborhood/friends. They host many community events (flea markets, fashion shows, music events) and are truly a Community Center gem of Franklin Square, NY as many outreach groups call it their home (daily, weekly meetings/events). They even have a home grown community theater group called the Wesley Players (16+ yrs) which perform off-Broadway style shows. Picture of the Ladybug today was from their church school class where young student was able to tie a beautiful craft to the story/lesson learned. As the world changes day to day, and communities change we should all know that this location truly service all.
