The service is efficient as the lines can be long. Ordered the famous flower with a macaroon in the center and the ice cream scoopers are precise and take pride in their creation. Each flower was consistent and identifiable (even though they may have felt rushed as the lines were long). the macaroon does get a little soft sitting atop the ice cream, so if you are a macaroon purist, you may want to opt out of it or ask for it on the side. The caramel salted gelato was one of the best we had on the trip. The melon was just like biting into a fresh and juicy cantalope. The coffee gelato tasted exactly like a flat white. Here's the breakdown of this nearly 10 euro dessert: 90% whipped cream 4% strawberries 2% strawberry yogurt 2% plain yogurt A measly single scoop for each. My husband got 2 individual scoops of ice cream which ran him close to 10 euro too and again, loaded with whipped cream. Somehow, our bill was close 25 euro. Gotta come here even though it is a bit touristy. I got the Rocher and Nutella flavors and absolutely loved both! First they let me try out different flavors, which I really appreciate! Furthermore, I really liked the gelato here because unlike many ice cream places in Europe, there was texture and crunch within the gelato! The traces of hazelnut in the rocher, as well as the small chocolate blend-ins within the Nutella flavor, were game changers.
