My wife had rice and pigeon pea soup, which she liked. I had a flight of beers which were amazing. The only issue was my 11 year old son. The online menu had 5 options for kids, but when we got there, they only had three. He got the mariana noodles, but it wasn't enough for him. My wife ordered the lox after this and asked for the crackers on the side for him, but the chef wouldn't do it. They offered the lox without the crackers, so this seemed a little inflexible. Great date spot. Maybe not for families with kids.

We decided to visit the Waffle-era Tea Room for a second time after an excellent first impression a…read moreweek ago. Despite the parking area being inconvenient, the experience would be worth it. Unfortunately, the Waffle--era tea host attendant told us that she was working alone with the restaurant tables and advised us we should wait 10 minutes to be seated and 45 minutes to be served, and then recommended we take a walk away, a walk back later. There are two meanings for these recommendations, depending on the tone and body language. One is to invite you to wait, and the other is to invite you to leave the place. This one looks like the attendant intention was the second one. This issue made us feel inadequate; thus, we ate breakfast at another restaurant, where we were very kind. Very Bad Customer Service at this time !!!

We visit Caguas a couple times a year, and every single time we visit Mr. Sandwich (and will continue to do so). The place is quite modern for the location and is a welcome change to the restaurant options in the area. One thing we really enjoy is the menu selection. There is something for every single person/taste and you will not be disappointed. Of course, the sandwiches are amazing as the name would imply. This place is also great for large groups (of course we travel in a gaggle when we visit). The food always comes out quickly and is very fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone needing a great food option in the area.
