Absolutely love this place. We've been taking our son up to Belmar to walk on the boardwalk basically since he was born so we love stopping into Coney Waffle. The vegan ice cream here is AWESOME! We had the Oreo and mint chocolate chip which were both creamy. They gave us a taster of the soft serve sorbet which was watermelon and mango (I think). I was expecting the sorbet to be sweet, but it wasn't at all. It had a nice fruit flavor. I've had vegan sorbet from other places and couldn't eat them due to the sugary taste. The vegan offerings are expanding too, they will add a whole case of vegan options. So exciting! The only reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the cost. You definitely don't want to drop any toppings because their menu items are not cheap! They recently added some vegan options to the menu, which is great for anyone with allergies or specific dietary needs. I've gone twice, but I honestly can't say I will return. While their ice cream is good, it's too over-the-top for me! I feel like 99 percent of the people there only go for a cool Instagram photo, then waste two thirds of their shakes because they're gigantic cups of diabetes that shouldn't be consumed by one person alone. Ours was topped with lemon, orange & strawberry cotton candy, chocolate donut, ice cream sandwich, blue raspberry & strawberry sour belts, chocolate ice cream cone, waffle sandwich with chocolate/peanut butter ice cream and a ring pop. It seems like a lot and yes, it is huge but if you take off all the candy - like we did - it's really not that much. It's mostly the sticks that they use to hold everything together. The shake itself was A LOT of shake - so you definitely get your money's worth. I loved that they gave you 2 spoons, wet naps, and a little bowls to put the candy into. This all really helps and is much needed! I should also mention that a year ago I tried the waffle with cannoli cream and that was just delicious.
