The hotel is quirky, with local artists featured on the walls of the lobby and many photo-ready spots. There is a small elevator, or a gorgeous spiral staircase. My room was lovely and quite large, with a fantastic bathroom. There was a desk, small sitting area, and there is a safe in the closet. The hotel is walking distance to Gran Via, Salamanca, Retiro Park...just a fantastic location. There is also a metro stop just outside of the hotel door. The staff was friendly, helpful and available to answer questions. I will absolutely be back to enjoy this hotel!

The room, while cozy, was extremely comfortable for two adults. The location is smack dab in the middle of Sol and Sevilla. You can easily walk to Puerta del Sol in about 5 minutes, or you can walk to Calle Gran Via (Shopping and Casino) in about 6 minutes, or you can walk to one of two Subway stops (Sevilla and Sol) in 5 minutes or less. Quatro Puerta del Sol is very close to at least a dozen restaurants, walk another 50 feet and there are a dozen more. It is minutes from Cardamomo Flamenco, which is awesome in itself. Maybe three or four grocery stores are too less than 4 or 3 blocks away from the hotel. We just loved it! We ended up going to Barcelona after our stay in Madrid and was constantly comparing Barcelona to our Madrid experience and Madrid won, mostly because of our location. The staff at Hotel Quatro Puerta del Sol is too just incredible. Arturo, I believe his name was, is just excellent. He's so friendly, he's so helpful, he's just a charm. We are thankful to have met Arturo at the front desk. If you're considering hotels in Madrid, definitely look into Hotel Quatro Puerta del Sol at Calle de Sevilla, 4, 28014 Madrid!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in late August. The room was quite small and the bed only a…read moredouble for two people, but it worked out just fine. The location is very central to everything in Madrid. The room was clean and the air conditioning kept the room at a comfortable temperature. Arturo at the front desk was exceptionally helpful! I would stay again. We actually stayed here one more night at the end of our trip around Andalusia. We were upgraded to a jacuzzi room with a private balcony. It was a perfect way to end our vacation!
