I've eaten at Condados several times at the Franklin location, but this review is for the Donelson location. It's not far from the Nashville airport or Opry Mills mall. We went for a Saturday lunch and it was pretty good. They have plenty of different tacos to choose from with a couple of Vegetarian options. They also serve Protein Bowls, Burritos, Chips & Dips, Mexican Street Corn and Nachos. You can also build your own Tacos, Burritos or Bowls. They have weekday lunch specials and do Pick Up Catering menus. I would call ahead and order for that option. They have a large covered outdoor dining area and they have a full bar serving Signature & Classic Margaritas, Mocktails, Beers and Wine. The employees were friendly, Helpful and gave us great service. The food came out quickly. If you're in the Donelson neighborhood, it's a good place to grab a Taco and a Marg !! This is a great spot to grab a good drink! I recently stopped in at 10pm on a Saturday night and was able to grab a seat at the bar right away. If you go Thursday through Saturday, don't miss their "Flight Night"--$20 for two margarita flights with a ton of fun flavors. I tried the Prickly Pear, Strawberry, and Dragon Fruit, and all of them were 10/10. Next time, I'm definitely going for the "Mystery Marg." We also ordered the chips and queso topped with pickled jalapeños and paprika, which were just as good. The bartenders were super friendly, and there's plenty of seating throughout the restaurant. I didn't try the tacos this time, but they have a build-your-own option and some other fun ones on the menu, so I'll definitely be back to try. I eat a lot of Mexican food. Outside of just the average "American" style food it might be the type of food I eat the most. I enjoy the traditional stuff as well as Tex-Mex and even Taco Bell. I have not met a Mexican restaurant that I just flat-out did not like. That is, until today. I've been curious about this place since it opened so I finally decided to stop in here and order a couple of burritos and queso to get me through a 12 hour shift at work. The queso was actually very good and it's the reason this review isn't just one star. The burritos, on the other hand, were edible but that's where the praise ends. I bit into my first burrito and was shocked to find that it was filled with plain, unseasoned white rice. And to add insult to injury there were several pieces of this rice that were hard as a rock. There were unseasoned black beans inside as well. They tasted as though they had been dumped from a can as is. Well, "dumped" maybe isn't the right word because that might imply there had been lots of beans when, in fact, there were very few. I have never seen a place so stingy with beans. Particularly in a burrito that costs $11 and was hardly bigger than my fist. I ate it because I was at work and didn't have a choice. It was either that or go hungry. After I ate the first burrito I still had the looming threat of the second awaiting me when lunchtime rolled around. And this, I think, made it worse. It was the knowing and dreading of it. This time without the queso dip to help mitigate the shocking blandness. Fortunately, I keep a bottle of Tapatío in my lunch box. Had my sombrero wearing friend not been there to guide me out of the darkness, I may have just thrown the burrito away. I can abide expensive food if it's good, I can abide bad food if it's cheap; but to be bad and expensive is unacceptable. read more

Five stars for service! Our server, Luke, was awesome. He recommended a great flight of margaritas-Strawberry Yuzu, Prickly Pear Lavender, and Blood Orange Ginger. All were delicious but the Strawberry Yuzu was our fave. We ordered bowls, both with chicken. Our order came out wrong and Luke went back and got them corrected right away. What a cool place with a really cool menu. Sadly....food fail. Bartender came to greet us at the door as we stood there a bit, and got our order started, though table sat. He ended up taking our dinner order too eventually. Was bright, big personality and drinks were good. Clearly...he had enough to do at the bar and seemed there should have been a server waiting on us. Saw a few just standing around playing on phones a bit. Food took a really long time and was ice cold when it made it out. Also, not as ordered for make your own or the store specialties. Massive disappointment as the menu suggestions for the tacos and the make your own are really great on paper. Ordered Korean BBQ and it didn't have the items on it that made it, and food presentation was not appealing. The bartender made right for us on the food issues. The smoked cheddar queso was good thankfully. One in our group has been there for lunch a few times and had all good experiences so sadly tough for a bad time on a Friday for us. We popped in here after visiting the nearby nail salon. We wanted to grab a drink and eat something to share before a movie. We sat at the bar and had friendly service. This was a great stop to enjoy a fresh and flavorful margarita and a protein filled Swole Bowl (I also added grilled shrimp!). It was the perfect size for a light dinner so we wouldn't fall asleep in the movie and still had room for popcorn. Honestly, I was almost too full for popcorn afterwards, that's how much food they give you! I recommend this restaurant for a full on celebration or casual stop in. read more

Firstly, we were not greeted when we entered. We stood there for a while until a young yelled at us from the bar that we could sit anywhere. After we seated ourselves, we waited a while until the young lady, Amaya, who yelled at us to sit turned out to be our server. She was pleasant. We ordered the loaded tots and they took sooo long to come out and I won't even mention the portion size for the price. Everything seemed to take a while to come out and the restaurant was EMPTY. I was craving a midday snack and figured this place would do, as we have one back home. I got the trio of dips that comes with a basket of tortilla chips. The queso was delicious, the pineapple guacamole was interesting, and the salsa Verde was a bit tart. Service was decent. It was kind of interesting that when the server handed me the decide to sign and add a tip, the 25% tip option was already selected for me. I didnt say anything and just shrugged to myself. I ordered takeout from this location tonight. The service was okay. My first option was the build your own burrito, but they informed us that they were out of rice- bomber! Instead, I ordered the Lucy's Fire taco. The chicken is more salty than spicy & honestly, for all of the toppings that the taco has, it was extremely bland. I've never been so disappointed in a taco. Went in for a margarita having been at the downtown Nashville location a few times. Very, very disappointed with the drinks. Ordered the most expensive margarita. I was told later it is made by the batch. It lacked the taste of any tequila. Paying so much for a drink when you're definitely not busy, make my drink on the spot. I, personally, do not like nor tend to order batch-made cocktails. Had I known, my order would have been different. Definitely didn't make a good impression on a local couple... Sent in a message and heard back from the manager who guaranteed me that these drinks are not made in batch, and he'd check with his staff. Unfortunately, this does nothing for the hit in my wallet for such an inferior drink. Took a good 10-15 minutes for our drinks. Not sure if the bartender knew the drinks. No soap in woman's restroom. I was excited to see this location open in Donelson for a fun and tasty option when I'm on this side of town. Service is super friendly and the staff is eager to help you decide what to order. Beware this is actually a sit-down restaurant where you order (from as it looks like it's more like a Chipotle but it's not). It's a casual atmosphere with fairly loud music. For drinkers there are lots of different variations of margaritas. For non drinkers they have the usual soft drinks but also horchata (yay). For food selections they have soft shell and hard shell tacos, burritos, bowls, dips and chips, and more. You can choose your protein anything from carne asada and birrea to shrimp or even, uniquely, crispy tofu in a Thai chili sauce. Bowls can be made with rice and beans, just rice, or lettuce (which you and I might call a salad!). It's definitely worth checking out. read more

We went tonight for the first time. It was not at all crowded. The murals were colorful. Hostess was not really interested in greeting or seating us. Waitress took awhile to great us and took our order. She did not deliver our food and checked on us only when we finished. Drinks were never offered to be refilled. Then she disappeared for a long time. We waited for a while to get the check even after she reappeared. The worst part was the food. I ordered Baja shrimp tacos. Two shrimp in the taco. My other taco (brisket) the toppings were ice cold. Beans were unseasoned. The "large" portion of corn is laughably small; and had odd ingredients. Both tacos were marked as spicy on the menu and were not. We both thought it was odd that in a new restaurant that a manager did not check on tables. Had a manager come around, we would have mentioned the issues. We didn't mention the issues to our uninterested waitress. As another reviewer mentioned, there are so many other better Mexican restaurants right down the street. Go to Habanero grill for a better meal and more bang for your buck. I was really hoping for a new place to eat besides the usuals in Donelson. This ain't it. read more

Donelson needs more places like this that stay open late, have fun atmospheres, and truly can serve as both restaurant and bar, but every time I go I remember why I don't go more often. The food is similar to a Torchy's or Velvet Taco, but significantly less flavorful and at comparable prices, even before accounting for a full service tip (unlike many places like this with counter serve). Me and my fiancée and her sister came into eat for dinner one night, our waitress only talked to us once or twice and never offered to refill anything and was barely there. Food took at least an hour or more and the store wasn't even busy. My soon to be sister in laws "carne asada" if you want to call it that as my sister in law is half Mexican and said carne asada isn't supposed to be "limey tasting". Anyway that was sour and cold. Food had literally no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. My burrito had no flavor and a bitter aftertaste for some reason, don't know what that was about... and my fiancées food was very cold and had no flavor. All of ours were cold and had zero flavor or seasoning. And to top all of this off For a burrito, a burrito bowl, and a small thing of nachos, it was 50 something or more dollars for the three of us. There's so many better restaurants where you can get actual authentic tacos that have flavor for half the price or less. Don't come here expecting anything with flavor or authentic, it's very much Americanized Mexican food if you even wanna call it Mexican. with all the cons that come with it. Was furious I had to pay that much for bad service and awful food. Oh and not to mention chips were stale as could be. I had seen pictures and thought this would be really good as did the rest of group, we were very disappointed and annoyed to say the least.
