I'm going to start this off with positive vibes. Mike Gallagher was very nice and prompt with…read morereturning calls. He came right out to give us a quote, which was a very reasonable quote. But the whole process which has been going on for over a month now has been terrible. Our wall was falling and the steps were separating from the wall. So we decided to finally get them redone. We had steps and a stone wall. We met with Mike and he gave us options of material for the wall. We picked bricks and of course they weren't in stock so we asked to wait for them to be in stock rather than picking new ones. Mike was fine with that. Him and his crew started with the demo. They learned that our original wall didn't have a footer so he had to add a footer to the price. Okay. Not a problem. Paid a deposit via his website which was easy. He started to do the steps. Looking at them they were uneven and crooked. Mike claimed they weren't done and then decided he wanted to bull nose the steps. Instead of demoing the steps completely, he chipped up the first layer and added new concrete to add the bull nose and level them out. They look absolutely horrible. They are two different colors. Not smooth and still uneven. Might i also add that they claimed steps are their specialty. The wall looked nice when they were done with it. But the more you look at it you began to notice small things that made you say, hmmm... The new wall was smaller than our original wall. And one side was shorter than our original wall. Okay. Whatever. There also was only one or two mesh areas for water to drain. Paid him in full PLUS a nice tip. Thought, okay. Whatever. We'll fix the steps next yr. But after our first rain storm issues began to arrise. We noticed that one of the caps on the wall was cracked. Which then soon broke. We also noticed that the caps are NOT secured. We could lift just about every one. Now we're very annoyed. Mike comes back to fix everything. But he managed to make it look worse. The cracked one was never fixed (as of 10/4.) The mortar that he used was just plopped ontop of the bricks and not cleaned up or smoothed out. There are holes between my caps and bricks. We legit can see through it. They are lifted and just look terrible! There is mortar pouring over the sides. The caps aren't straight anymore either. They are shifted when they used to be at least pretty straight. Not to mention the mess they left. Dirt everywhere. Cement all over my driveway that we are now having to chip up and power wash everything. I was so excited to improve the outside of my house and now it looks worse than before. I do not recommend Gallagher Masonry unless you don't care about things being straight, done well and cleaned up.

I had a really good experience with Barry and his crew at my Aunt's house this summer, where they…read moreblocked up a door for us and Barry even knew a guy who could frame a window for us. The price was super reasonable as well, and Barry was great during the entire process. I thought I had found my concrete guy in the area! I had mentioned to Barry that I would be redoing the pool later in the summer/early fall and would love for him to do our stamped concrete. I had reached out on August 22nd, and Barry responded and even sent some great work they had recently done around a pool. I tried to schedule a time and heard less and less, until I received a call from a Samantha at a different number. We set an appointment for 9/16 at 3:30pm. I received a call from Samantha at 2:30pm on 9/16 saying that something had happened at a job site and Barry had to be there to manage it. I get that, I appreciated the call, and realized that I would want Barry to do the same thing if the issue were at my house. She happily rescheduled to 9/19 at 3:30pm. On 9/19, I waited and waited, but Barry never showed up. I tried calling and texting both phone numbers to try and get a hold of him; but no answers and messages were never returned. I have tried on 5 separate occasions to get a hold on both numbers, but I have not received any communication back. I was essentially ghosted, and we are now trying to find who to use to do our pool.

I am leaving my review for this company everywhere I can so nobody else gets stuck dealing with the…read morebs I went through this summer. Do not make the same mistake I did with this company. Refuse to pay half when the job starts. They will take your money, work for a day, and then it will be like pulling teeth to get them to finish or attempt to get your moneys worth. They started a patio in my back yard on June 2nd 2020. He came out 4 times from then until September. When he comes out (Between 2-4pm) he will work for an hour and then disappear for a few hours. There are countless reviews where everyone has had the same experience as I had and I wished I had done my research sooner. They deleted their company Facebook page because of the reviews. He complained about how much the job was costing him when he would rent a machine, use it for 4 hours and then it sat untouched for a few days. It was the most unprofessional workmanship I have ever experienced. I offered to pay extra to just get it done and nothing. Call ty at 856 373 1640. His company has great prices and he fixed the shotty work that Barry at south jersey did. I promise you will regret hiring this clown. There is no reason someone doing concrete would need half of the contracted price up front. Materials cost next to nothing.

Master class from start to finish. Go with these guys…read more My old brick steps were caving in and every business I spoke to gave me wildly different quotes with no explanation of work. Some didn't even come out just asked for photos and gave me a number back. I was starting to get worried until I got in contact with Divine Concrete. They came out the same day to look at the job. Gave me multiple options and a clear plan for the project. The cost was appropriate and they explained the reasoning behind it. Overall, they made the buying experience easy and I felt confident moving forward. Once work began, the staff and crew were very nice and respectful. They kept the worksite clean you wouldn't have thought a construction job was even happening. The steps were poured and completed on schedule. The railing took an extra day due to rain, but they kept me informed with text updates. Not a complaint, just a good example of clear communication and professionalism. The steps turned out exactly as I needed for a long-term rental property. For the record, they absolutely do higher-end work, but what impressed me most was that they listened. I asked for something simple and functional, and that's what they delivered. No upsells, no nonsense. 10 out of 10. Great job all around. I plan to work with Divine Concrete on more projects in the future and I'm especially looking forward to seeing what they can do once I start on the forever home.
