This project provided more convenient parking for my family and I which my husband desired. When Mr. Hughes stated he was going to perform he did just that and he made sure he kept us a brisk with every thing he was going. My husband wanted a place to plant flowers and Mr. Hughes went above and beyond by creating a brick enclosed flower bed and it has added even more creativity to the look of the home. He also found we had contaminated dirt under our old driveway and he not only removed it but, made sure we had more dirt delivered to fill the hole. Not only was it not done by code, but it eventually started to fail, as the soil was never tested properly. Causing them to have an astronomical amount of fixing that needs to be completed. (Well over $12,000 to repair just the foundation area), not including the cost to move the building and then move it back, it also started causing issues due to its sliding against their drain field, causing more damage... In the meantime they took him to court, as he has ignored all of it constantly and has not responded to anything they've requested and is avoiding what is owed to them. They did win in court, and are now stuck, as he will not do the right thing...just pay them what you owe and do the right thing. This is NOT how to conduct business. BEWARE if you do business with him. *Also, you're able to look up the court case for yourself and see the avoidance and disrespect, it is free to the public using e-court website.*

When…read morethey first came to my house to fix the foundation in 2008, some how they did not install 4 supports under the house. My house shifted quite a bit since then. It took a while but they came back and were honest about the work they did in 2008 and put the 4 extra supports in. My husband had to stay on them with lots of calls but again, they did honor their life time warranty and we were very thankful for that. Edit: We had the drainage redone because of moisture/water in our crawl space- This moisture was possibly made worse from the foundation piers that ram jack put in (according to our drainage contractor(along with tree roots.) ) When were they going to tell us that this may happen? We had to have our entire drainage system replaced plus the holes near their foundation piers had to be filled and sealed by our drainage contractor. Our walls/floors were shifting even more after ram jacks work..because of this moisture in the crawl space. If you own a home in Downtown Durham you have to really watch for the foundation shifting. Shouldn't a foundation repair company go over all these details with you and inform you of what you need to do to have the most stable foundation..?Ram Jack just did not spell it out for us ... and that's what we needed... Perhaps they went over it in detail with the man who flipped this house. We needed this information transferred to the new home owner.
