While the crowds were large, it was easy to move about the park, use toilets, and snag food without any horrendous lines. Everything from the tickets to the food seemed to be fairly priced. Fellow festival-goers appeared to be having a great time, as well! I would suggest the on-site camping to anyone that wants to keep the party going after 23:00 - with planned after-parties and silent discos. And even though Alesso, a headlining DJ, was a no-show, we were quite pleased with the remaining lineup (Deadmau5, Armin van Buren, Sam Feldt, etc). We'll definitely attempt another international trip to go back!

I've never had to pay for a toilet at any other festival). Also, you are required to purchase tickets to buy drinks and food, which is okay, but you're stuck with a ton of tickets after the festival which can't be used for anything! One of our group had to throw away about 100 dollars worth of tickets because he wasn't able to use them all. Another down thing about this festival is that they shut down the rooms which get full. Not so good when you book such popular artists like Knife Party, Disclosure, etc. The best highlights this year were Dillon Francis, Knife Party, Flosstradamus, Gesaffelstein, and Annie Mac. This was my first time at Tomorrowland and I was absolutely blown away. Everything was top notch…read morecompared to raves or festivals in other countries. Bathrooms were consistently stocked and generally clean. There were cup recyclers just walking around collecting cups. Still trash on the floor but definitely not as much as I've seen at other venues. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The food was hit or miss but the majority of it was really good (go for the to go steak and the raw oysters!) Every stage was so magical and amazing. It rained on the third day and I brought a raincoat but they also do sell them at many of the stores. Obviously only downside is probably the walk to the shuttles at night if you're going back to a hotel but they do have a shuttle that goes to the parking lot if you leave an hour earlier! Overall an epic experience. I thought this would maybe be just a once in a lifetime experience for me but I would like to go again if given the chance.

You pay 7,50€ for a tiny snack. They do seem to get more expensive each year. As there is no alternative it's kindof a "lock in" thing. You can't bring in your own drinks either, so you once you are in you're burning money faster as your ex can spend it. It is tasty, but hugely overpriced. Because there isn't a real alternative (the "fries shop" also charges 3x normal prices) people accept this but it isn't right. When I stood in queue for ice-cream I thought I was going to pay 2,5€ per scoop as well (a "credit" costs 2,5€) but they were the only one's charging HALF a credit. Very very nice.

I've never seen the water so busy with boats and it was fun to be in the middle of all of it on a boat. I only wish I could have seen the fireworks but maybe in 5 years i'll be able to see it...hehe. (this event only happens every 5 years). I heard there are plenty of events happening throughout the area (live music etc) and lots of great food. I wasn't able to explore all that but i definitely enjoyed and preferred watching everything happen from the water. i'm not much for huge crowds. If you happen to be lucky enough to be in amsterdam when this event happens it's worth a gander!

So, if you are in the area, you have to do something with SAIL. I attended the Pop-Up restaurant (http://www.yelp.com/biz/pop-up-l-invit%C3%A9-le-restaurant-sail-2015-amsterdam) for the SAIL IN which was amazing, but really over the 5 days there are a bunch of things going on. Music and themed events on Java-Eiland, Noord, especially on the NDSM area and more. There is a website, and a schedule, so be sure to grab one if you see it! Oh, and fireworks! There are fireworks each night! There is so much more to this festival that I don't even know about because I was happy just to watch the ships come into the Amsterdam harbor, and to leave again. It's a free festival that you can spend with friends and spend no money, or you can attend special events and get a VIP treatment. The pop-up shops and restaurants are great to visit. And there are food and drink trucks around if you want to grab a bite to eat. I can't believe we have to wait another 5 years for this!!
