Each person I interacted with took their time and made sure I didn't have any unanswered questions. Because I needed a chest x-ray and a couple of tests, it was a bit more than I had hoped but this place is much more than a typical Urgent Care facility. They have a lot of hospital quality equipment (CT scan, x-ray and some other pieces). It is actually an Urgent Care and emergency care facility all in one. I will definitely be going back if I have any problems in the future. First class all the way.

I was in need of hospitalization but due to my pet care commitments and other things I couldn't do that. I have never in my life experienced the level of attentive professional Health Care with consistent ans persistent follow up with sincere concern. Efficient ultra safe hygienically and patience great attitudes. A whole group of miracle workers they called me three times a day over a week. At least two calls directly from Dr. Choy. The medical team of Fruitwood gave a clear diagnosis efficiently and then described protocols and committed me to adhere to them and then followed up strictly with me by nurses and the doctor at least three times per day for the first several days and afterwards once or twice a day ensuring I was taking all prescriptions and treatments. They were the model of the emerging Telemedicine and Face to Face medicine hybrid. Seven days after walking in there with SP02 at 70 %, unable to take about five steps without wheezing, yesterday I rode my bicycle 2.4 miles to get there. Physician Assistant Patrick arrived, lightened the mood and kept it light for us for entire visit. He seems to be a rendition of top notch emergency room PA coupled with channeling Robin Williams. Thank you Patrick. Our experience with the entire staff was pristine. X-rays done, quickly send to expert to review, tetanus shot, cleaning the wound. We are grateful this urgent care is in our neighborhood and a big thanks to the staff who provided us such kindness and professional service to as painlessly as possible resolve our urgent care need.

They gave me a preliminary diagnosis but recommended I go to the ER since they were unable to perform the required testing/diagnostics to confirm the diagnosis. I usually would go to Sarasota Memorial, Downtown, which I do for breast exams, etc. and rate them highly. I will not come back to SMH at University Parkway for a MRI. The person providing the MRI said he was at the end of his 7 hour shift. He was not dressed neatly in "uniform" of any kind, and smelled of BO. I first thought he was a maintenance person. He did not provide assistance in terms of how to negotiate the MRI bed, what to hold on to, etc. Very casual and not engaged in the process. Very unusual from positive experienced I have had with SMH downtown.

We had an excellent experience here. Our wait time was reasonable. The office is clean. The staff was professional, efficient and kind. The nurse was gentle while cleaning the wound. Dr. Grabo was able to use medical glue on her chin rather than stitches, which made everything less stressful. She was very kind and patient with my daughter. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience.

We went in for suspected kidney infection, they took a urine sample and said we would get results in 24-48 hours. Told us to just keep taking Tylenol. After being told to stop calling them and 4 days later, we found out they never ran the test they were supposed to. No came to the actual hospital and they said it is a pretty severe kidney infection. Do not trust the people at this location with their life. They spent more time talking about their personal life to each other than they did to get us checked in when there was literally nobody in the waiting room.

The front desk staff was kind, helpful and informative. After being directed into a room, they took my son's vitals and we were quickly seen by Tony Atwell. He had amazing bedside manner--was so friendly, caring, and thoughtful. Since our son was so young, Tony was apprehensive about over-medicating which I appreciated. He answered all of my questions and put all of my concerns at ease. We got some prescriptions and were on our way. I felt like we were truly cared for and not rushed out of the room. I wish my husband had read the other one star reviews before going here. He visited on September…read more23, 2025 to find out more about a vein in his leg that seemed hardened. The nurses seemed perplexed at why he was there because he had no other previous conditions or causes, such as smoking or drinking. Dr Diana Krblich sent him to the Lakewood Ranch Emergency Care Center for a sonogram of his leg later that day. The results given to him after the sonogram stated that he had a serious DVT, and they immediately changed his wristband, charged him an ER visit along with that huge co-pay, and put him on Eliquis. Then he got results back two days later from Dr Krblich from the same sonogram that stated there was no sonographic evidence for a DVT, and that it was a superficial issue in his vein that could have just been treated with heat, with no need of an ER visit or Eliquis. We have been left with a huge bill, medication that he never needed, more questions than answers, and no resolution as of yet. He did not receive quality care at this facility or the related one, and will not be encouraging anyone to visit here.
