I had radiation @ St Mary's Oncology Radiology with Dr Sharma for pain in my lower back & hip. I had no idea that the radiation was going to do so much damage to my hip! No one told me that at the end of my radiation txs I would need a hip replacement!! My hip was fine before the radiation! A few weeks later was when the pain really started & after 2-3 months it was unbearable!! Dr Gunzenhaeser - Orthopedic Surgeon told us that my hip was the worst hip he had ever seen & he didn't know I could walk with it! Two different times Christy helped by moving my surgery date & time forward, faxing my Physical Therapy orders & all of the other things that needed to be done quickly. Christy is very knowledgeable & she definitely goes above & beyond. If it wasn't for Christy's constant monitoring in my chart & checking in with me many times- my experience @ Beacon's wouldn't have been so smooth! I am a long-time athlete who has experienced injuries at a much greater frequency than my peers…read more This has resulted in many orthopedic surgeries, dozens of physical therapists, and I would estimate over 1,000 physical therapy visits over the past 20 years. Unfortunately, I would run into dead-end after dead-end with the physical therapy and developed the belief that there was truly no solution for my body and that I was just not built for physical wellness. Therapists would assign me the same textbook routines over and over, but those routines would never result in what I would describe as even close to a success. The pain would linger on forever and the therapists would get frustrated and, to add literal insult to injury, put the blame on me. Then I began therapy with Andrea at Onward Physical Therapy. We have had approximately eight sessions together over the last few months and I have seen more progress in that time than ever before. She approaches rehab in a way that I have never experienced (and I have a LOT of data points). It is personalized, creative, and she monitors progress constantly. She is always challenging me to take that next step and believes fully that I will get better and return to the physical activities that I love. I am feeling that already and have no doubt she is right. She is also trained and highly skilled with dry needling, cupping, and manual soft tissue work in a way that has me feeling notably better after each session. Check in was quick, prep was even quicker, and the entire time my son was in surgery I knew what stage he was in. After surgery they called me while I was in the waiting room to go over the procedure amd any questions I had. Recovery the ladies were amazing and answered everything I came up with after already being asked lol. They quickly got us discharged but did not rush us, we were ready lol.

This review is for the billing department, OrthoAlliance. First, make sure any payments you made…read moreare applied to your statement. Over $1,000 paid wasn't shown on my statement. When they apply it, make sure you get an itemized copy "PRIOR" to making a payment. When I received my revised bill, they applied part of the $1,000 to an item that insurance covered and had already paid100%. I had to ask for "another" statement, and it was "wrong". I had to walk the billing person through the payments I made and what those payments covered. They spread your payment throughout multiple items. I paid each bill (online) that I had in my hand at the time in FULL, as long as it matched up with my insurance coverage, which I check online before paying. When the next bill came, it showed some of the line items had a balance. So I called "again" and finally got it worked out. I've NEVER had an invoice like this, where they take your payment made and instead of applying it to the item for the exact amount due, they decide to spread the love around. Why?? My guess it there were other changes, but I haven't received the invoice yet. But again, Why?? Makes no sense.
