Crowded, disorganised and dirty! We visited this flea market…read moreon a Sunday morning and it was incredibly crowded and hard to move around. There were queues everywhere, it was grimy and there lots of stall selling low quality merchandise. Quite disappointing!!

You can find stuff from your head to toe like hats, shirts, sweaters, jackets, jogging pants, pants, boots and shoes, sneakers, some traditional clothing, even underwear and socks; they had it all. Aside from the clothing, I also loved the food section. They were selling fresh produce like vegetables and different kinds of olives. There were also some fruits like berries and bananas. But wait, they didn't stop there. They also had cooked food like rotisserie chicken (they're so yummy and not too expensive), some thai food, chinese food, cooked rice, ribs, oh my gosh I just want to buy all their food. It's definitely a place to check out.

And their potjevleesch (beef in jelly) is the best in town : excellent meat, and more meat than jelly (which is not the case elsewhere). They also have delicious "marrons glaces" for Christmas, and very good cheese. The prices are really high, so I can only give a 4/5 for quality/price. This just means that this shop is not for everyone everyday, but the quality is the best you can find.

As a chocolate lover, it would have been difficult to resist the lure. Looking in the store, they had some very nice chocolates, some of which seemed to have extremely high cocoa content - from what I remember, up to 90% or thereabouts (not my type of thing, but some people like it bitter). I would say that if you like chocolate but do not want to end up shelling out and buying loads, avoid this place!

A delicious mix of tapenade, charcuterie and fromage was presented and washed down with the medium, fruity and slightly spicey wine. On to the main course: my boyfriend went for the lasagne and I the ricotta and asparagus. Although both creamy, cheesy and particularly rich, I think my boyfriend was jealous of my choice (haha). Both came in at around 16 euros which, for the quality and quantity, is really not bad! Both too full for dessert, we had a decaf and waddled back home. A romantic and gastronomic evening although one slight downfall. We were never shown the prices of the wine or of the planches. What's more, our waitress informed us that she had deliberatly not told us that they also do a small planche so that we'd order the big one... Cunning perhaps but not really customer-friendly. Next time we will ask to see a menu before ordering!
