HORRIBLE- HORRIBLE- HORRIBLE! From the owner to the so called manager of Recruitment. Never experienced anything so unprofessional before in my life (now I have seen it all). The owner called me and ended our conversation by saying they are calling me and never called back to end our session properly. Appointments were made that were never kept and even emails received confirming information that was never followed up on (what the heck). I was okay not building a permanent relationship there, I guess the owner didn't know that. I was doing my best to remain professional about it. Consulting was all I was willing to do. Where do I even begin? The front desk ladies at the location in Lyndhurst are great, I have no problems with them. I also love my therapist Vicki. The person they call their "psychiatrist" on the other hand is awful (Dr. Wancier). The first time I met him, he made an obscene amount of comments about my weight. "This isn't good for your self image" "You need to stop eating chocolates and tarts" "Your medications will never work if you are this heavy" And so many more comments... I explained to him with tears rolling down my face that I am trying...and that my weight is something I have struggled with all my life. He continued to dig but I thought he got the point that this was no longer something I wished to discuss. I came back for 2 more appointments and the last time was the final straw. He just wouldn't stop talking about my weight! I was beyond upset, especially after telling him I had lost 25 pounds. He told me "I'm glad I said something to you before or you wouldn't have lost that weight" I told him he wasn't my primary care provider and that I was here for my mental health. He still didn't understand as I was in tears yet again. I will not be back to him and I suggest if you are overweight, you don't see him either. read more

Their website says they have PTSD psychiatrists that offer three types of therapy for PTSD treatment. This is false, at least of the Bethesda location. When I went in, I was seen by a psychiatrist who didn't even know they offered PTSD treatment. She was very cold and indifferent while asking me questions to fill out a form. She asked about what type of trauma I'd endured more than once, and seemed to have a very limited perception of what kind of trauma could cause PTSD. I was in and out of her office in 20 minutes- she essentially just filled out the form and ushered me out the door saying she only handles medication, not therapy. Very indifferent, no attempt to be personable til the very end when she was escorting me out. The front desk people were very nice, though. All in all, not worth the time in the slightest. read more

Please read the filtered review here as well. It is a perfect example of their complete ineptitude. The psychiatrist was horrible and did not seem to care for my well-being at all. He literally used the term "princess" to describe me - to my face - making me cry. I'm the furthest thing from a princess, who works my butt off full-time to support myself, and how inappropriate do you think it is to say that to someone who is suicidally depressed??? He also told me that the cure to my problems was to get married and have a family, which is NOT the life path that I choose. His medical approach was clearly as ancient and outdated as he is. read more

This agency is difficult to conduct business with. Their receptionists have difficulty with appointments. If they need to reschedule they usually neglect to cancel the previous appointment, creating a lot of confusion on their part. read more

Making my first appointment was a little rough because of my work schedule but after that the rest of my daughters visits have went smooth. The councilors are easy to talk to and understanding my daughter (13 ADHD and ODD) looks forward to going every week. They have been beyond helpful. I am so glad I was referred to bring her here :) read more

The psychiatrist did little to understand my situation, all he cared about was whether or not what he was prescribing to me was addictive in nature or not...here I am with issues and all he cared about was whether or not I'd abuse sleep medication! He also did not check the contraindications well against my medical history....what he gave me could have had dire consequences to my well-being. read more
