Cafe con leche was a nasty pre brewed black coffee with non-steamed milk. The lady spent 10 seconds…read more"frothing" cold milk using a cheap hand brother. You're supposed to use espresso not black filtered coffee. Toastada con tomate was the cheapest quality white toast with colored tomato paste. SKIP THIS PLACE. Terrible quality and way overpriced.

Most of the pilgrims take the route through Sarria but they are mistaken. The route to Samos is less traveled that is true...but that is the point of the Camino! To find yourself losing the crowds... The facility was busy with pilgrims with a cafe restaurant downstairs and accommodations up. You can choose from a mixed bunk room like I did not a private room for more. I was put in a bunk room with a bunch of older Spanish men who spoke no English. That's the Camino! The place was clean but only one person working there who did it ALL. Totally understaffed. She was the cook, innkeeper and maintenance. Totally short staffed I felt for her. Quaint cute local authentic Spanish hostel.

He spoke English, which was nice, and gave me very careful directions to several places! He made sure I had a cab early in the morning to the train station too! The rooms and beds were very clean, the blankets were so comfy, there chargers for each bed, and a closet that locked for each person to store your stuff! There was a nice break room, and you can do your laundry for 6 Euros, including the detergent! I would come back here anytime!

Just a few blocks from the Cathedral, a block south of a really interesting restaurant that serves a "menu" (same side of the street as the hostal). A block north of a delicious churros/hot chocolate place (Metate), and many other places to eat and drink on the same street. 2. Price. For where it is located it was by far the most inexpensive place around (don't wait until the last minute as it books up quickly) 3. Cleanliness. Pretty good for the number of people going through there. I saw the cleaning person all day/every day 4. Privacy. Only Albergue I stayed in that had privacy doors so you could block off sections of bunkbeds and convert into a private room. Overall...AWESOME!
