X rays followed showing a 1/4 inch shorter right leg!! Damn genetics!! A simple gel insert changed regularly helped my hips realign an started easing the pain. I had the worst experience that I've ever had at a doctor's office here. Despite explaining that I…read moreneeded to stay within what my insurance would reimburse (insurance they accepted), they did not actually honor my request. I originally went here to treat my pain and to understand which approved pain procedures I might be a candidate for (e.g. spinal cord stimulator). As a chronic pain patient in a great deal of pain, I've never been treated as poorly as I was here. They really had their own agenda. For example, a week or so after my first appointment, I received a call from a businessman on behalf of Katalyst pain clinic, asking whether I was interested in a novel treatment for my pain. When I asked about the cost, he told me it was $10,000-$12,500 - with no insurance reimbursement. This is fine to know for the future, but I needed to get out of pain now, using my insurance. It felt humiliating to repeatedly request both in writing and verbally that I needed to stick to what my insurance would cover, at least until I had a new job. I'm responsible to pay the bill, after all. I was disappointed in the care provided, the unprofessional demeanor, and frankly the attitude demonstrated by Dr. Buettwell (embrace patient, argue with patient, discard patient). I never did learn about my other approved treatment options - only the off-label peptides and platelets they push. Apparently, some things are more difficult than medical school.

Conventional medicine does not acknowledge that the condition I have is treatable; the practitioners here believe otherwise. They take the time to listen and are willing to explore options for treatment. They also have other treatments like B12 injections and IV therapy if you're just feeling rundown. They don't take insurance so everything is out-of-pocket but they'll give you the invoices if you want to submit to insurance. My insurance doesn't pay for the therapy I need whether it's prescribed in-network or not, so it's a no brainer to come somewhere I know I'll get proper care. If you're not receiving acceptable care from your current provider or need a second opinion, I highly recommend giving them a call.

I was charged $37 that day to my knowledge when in fact was actually charged $112 the same day. This was on my statement but not disclosed to me. When I inquired I was told that this was due to a "special adjustment". Really? wow... Now that is shady, right? Here's the incredible part: I sought out this type of treatment that was recommended (by a doctor) to help alleviate chronic dizziness and fatigue. After (3) treatments I was in excruciating pain with weakness in my hand and numbness in my fingers. I was told to "hang in there" as it was the body adjusting. I cut a trip short to get to an urgent care for pain relief and began the investigation. It was a pinched nerve in my neck. Here's what it took for correction: Multiple exams, x-rays, MRI, physical therapy and a neck injection. 20% of this cost was out of my pocket. When I asked for a refund of my up front payment for their treatment plan of $1,000 it took them almost 2 months and multiple phone calls and emails to finally give this back. This is when I saw the $112 charge on my statement. It is amazing to me that under the circumstances that a provider would not simply refund a customer's money for unused services and avoid negative reviews. I held back for months to give them an opportunity to make this right and they continued to refuse to be ethical in favor of keeping $75. Simply amazing. This is a very dishonest practice.
