Can I score a zero? Let's see…read more I have a solar water heater on my roof. A month ago, the system froze and the pipes cracked and the whole thing was rendered unusable. Ok... It was kind of my fault, and I'll take a bit of responsibility for the issues - to a certain extent. My problem is... I didn't design this system. The recirculate function, and freeze plug systems weren't my ideas. I'm sure that the draining of the system would have been better attempts at keeping the system from causing issues, but I was led to believe that these systems were sufficient. My system froze and as a result the pipes froze and burst and there was a complete system failure. The good news was that I was under warranty. The bad news was that Compass Solar and the company that was "warrantying" my system had no problem gouging me. The estimated price to replace my system was over 1300 bucks. I decided to go NOT green to replace the system. I'm 60. I'm going to die before I can make the difference. Good luck young people. Greed takes precedence in today's market. You're going to pay for it in the long run. I'l be long dead.

All we needed was 3 GFCI's to be placed for us - discovered a serious wiring hazard- 2 hours and some change later they had it fixed for us and no more hazard. Worth the money - and I found them to be reasonably priced especially for as quickly as they were able to find and diagnose and fix the problem. Definitely could have been a lot longer. Alland and Nate were our heroes. Great work guys and thanks for finding and fixing what coulda been a real hot mess if left unchecked!! Great service, efficient - and honest workers. We have been waiting since august to receive our hot water heater. An employee told us the company…read morewould give us cash to buy our own and now the company is telling us she had no authority to do so, however she has told me she did. I called and was belittled and insulted while being told by the boy on the phone that I was doing those things to him. All we are wanting is the device contractually offered us. The employee that sold us the panels told us we needed the heater to be able to have full efficiency of the panels. I told the young man on the phone I was told that and again he said his employees are not a reflection of his business. He has no liability for what they say or do within the sale, only what the contract says. He then said "you DID read your contract right?" The boy on the phone was condescending, insulting, and rude. I told him I would have to seek legal advice for what my next option was and he told me "you probably don't even have enough money to get a lawyer." I was then told "yeah others have tried this and they don't win, you won't either, we have done this before, and when we win you will be paying our legal fees." That tells me they might be on the legal end of a lot deals that they are not fulfilling. Emails have been vague and the company refuses to give us a time frame for the product. After the absolutely unacceptable treatment by this company I would highly advise to stay away from this company for your solar needs. I was told that they contract everything out so I am required to go to the subcontractor for any follow through. After $30,000.00 and a mortgage payment long investment we still have not completed the process of "going solar." The sales people are beyond friendly and very smooth operators. Don't be fooled.
