I've recommended them several times to people over the years because they were so wonderful. But my times have changed ( or it could just be the location/manager). So, I am visiting my friend and thought I would have them groomed while I was here. My husband passed away late 2024, and my furrbabies don't go anywhere ( never boarded and I have mobile grooming services), so I have been behind in their shot records. But they go to the vet regularly for other medical issues, and their rabies shots are up to date, for sure. The vet never pushed their vaccinations due to their medical history and because they are never around other dogs. So, this "manager" asked for their shot records, and I emailed them. Apparently, they weren't up to date, and it was no problem. Ok, if they can't be seen, I get it. What was funny was that she was willing to take one dog and not the other. Her "strict adherence" to the vaccination rules can only be bent when SHE saw fit. Either stick to the rules or not. I would've been ok with her sticking to the rules and leaving without a bad taste in my mouth. But that is clearly not what happened. I was truly beside myself when I encountered her nasty attitude and the way she was talking AT me and not to me!! In 22 years, I have NEVER received such horrible treatment at ANY location, except for this one. Best Friends...I love you...love your services...but people like this make it hard to go back. Luckily, I know it's a manager/ borderline personality issue and not a facility/service/other staff issue. Needless to say, I didn't leave the dog she would take there, and I recommend not going to this location until this woman is removed. I will be contacting corporate about this incident.

Each time, I received a same-day or night-before notice canceling my dog's grooming, with no real effort to fit us in sooner or make things right. I completely understand that emergencies happen, but this has become a pattern, not an exception. It's incredibly frustrating to rearrange work and plans for an appointment, only to be told last minute that it's off again. Professionalism means respecting your clients' time and communicating proactively. Unfortunately, this business has not shown that level of reliability or consideration. If you're looking for consistent, dependable service, I'd suggest going elsewhere until they get their scheduling and customer service issues sorted out.

From the start, Chris Carr was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly dedicated to helping both dogs and their families. Over the course of 10 days, Buster received 4-5 training sessions per day -- and the transformation was nothing short of amazing. When we picked him up, Chris spent a full hour training my son and me, making sure we understood how to maintain the progress at home. Since returning, Buster has been a completely different dog -- calmer, more focused, and so much more enjoyable to be around. We've even had friends and neighbors compliment his improved leash manners and overall behavior. Chris truly gave us the tools and confidence we needed to bring out the best in Buster, and we couldn't be more grateful. If you're considering a training program, I can't recommend Chris Carr and Strong House Training Center enough!

Honestly amazed at what Chris accomplished with our dog Figgy in just one session. Figgy is a 14…read moremonth old rescue who had issues with jumping, hated cars and was horrible on a leash. We had to spend 5 minutes just to load him into our car and would have to lift him in. When on a leash he would pull either pull or just lay down. Within 5 minutes Chris had him walking without pulling on a leash and got him to voluntarily jump in the back of our SUV! Chris walked us through his training process, the commands he would teach based upon our feedback of areas we wanted addressed as priority. The hardest part was waiting to the the results but as the saying goes good thing come to those who wait! The dog we picked up no longer jumped upon greeting, walked on a leash and was overall a much better behaved animal. Chris walked us through the training, gave recommendation and welcomed us to contact him with any questions or concerns. I would like to say the key takeaway which Chris stressed and I'll attest to is reinforcing the training; especially with a dog like Figgy who prior was allowed to let his bad behavior be considered acceptable. We ended up getting sick shortly after bring Figgy home and within a few day some of the bad behavior started to surface. Once we were able to get back to daily reinforcing his training from Chris he settled right back in to being the dog we knew he could be and Chris helped bring out. We are 100% satisfied with the results from Stronghaus and would highly recommend. Are the results worth it if you are willing to put in the work and stick with the training; 1000% yes! Chris showed us how to act as Figgy's leader, alleviating him from acting on bad behavior and being a dog who is now as laid back as can be and loving his new life. Worth every penny!

She cut too much off of the dog's body and the fur on his face was so uneven. The poor dog looks lopsided. Petsmart had the nerve to have my brother pay in full today and advised him bring the dog back for a redo when the regular groomer is back. If you have a regular groomer that does an awesome job, stick to that person. Don't let someone else butcher your beloved pet. The poor dog looks terrible now and they had to pay for such a badly executed grooming. Now they have to waste more time returning to get the actual service they paid for. Shame on you, PetSmart.
