If you need help you can go to Compass Therapy and live a happy fulfilling life. They helped me with my mental illness due to trauma, anxiety and depression. They also helped me with parenting a special needs child who was medically fragile and ended up with mental illness. I have seen so many other therapists and not only did they not help, they made me worse off.
I am the worst case scenario who turned out to be happy with a successful career and successful personal life.
I started because my special needs daughter was medically fragile and her mental illness made it impossible for her to get care. They helped me with parenting techniques that allowed my daughter to no longer have mental health problems even while she continued to need extensive medical care, surgeries and procedures.
While learning to help my daughter, they started to help me. I come from a family with physical, sexual and emotional abuse. I went on to marry an abusive husband but did divorce him.
I moved away to another state and was unable to be seen by them.
During this time I lost my daughter.
I was suicidal and attempted what I thought was a full proof plan to die. I had no desire to live at all. I was so depressed and anxious I could not function. I could no longer work or take care of myself. I moved back to the state and area and was again able to see my psychologist at Compass Therapy.
It was so hard to go to therapy because I was in bed all day everyday unable to function. She helped me to go by showing how much she cared that I lived. She was always available to support me, even if we did not have a scheduled session. She encouraged me to live when I didn't want to. She taught me skills to love myself for the first time in my life. She taught me how to heal from a horrific life. She taught me how to have confidence. She taught me how to have successful personal relationships. Sometimes there were setbacks because I had a hard time stopping my toxic behaviors that hurt me. She taught me to forgive myself. She taught me how to be happy. She taught me how to trust in myself. I was a hard case and a difficult patient so it took 10 years.
I now have a beautiful marriage, a very successful career, many wonderful friends (I had to trust her and remove the negative people from my life), and personal joy. I now love life. I love me. I love my life and I never thought that was even a remote possibility.
I have since moved away again and have seen multiple psychologist for continued self care. They have each set me back so I will not be seeing anyone.
It is okay because she taught me the skills to live a beautiful life independently.
Please go to them! I promise you can be happy, no matter what the circumstances! read more
