Ross told me State Farm switched to a percentage rating in 2018. Three other State Farm agents told me that this policy changed in Indiana in the last 2 years. I never knew there was a percentage of the property option. If when I first got the insurance and State Farm was changing the normal deductible policy of all insurance companies, this should have been explained in detail and he did not do that. I asked for $1,000 and he gave me 1% relying on the fact that most people do not look that closely because most agents are not liars. I also found out I could have had an option of 1/5 percent. He never advised me of that. I was leaving Farmers and getting quotes. He wanted new business and he lied to get it. It was obvious that others have already confronted him with this problem.
