the people who work at Compass can be really good or really bad. I had a really good therapist from Compass. I had a TERRIBLE psych from Compass. But honestly, it's the way the Organization treats patients that is the worst. There is sort of an assumption in the entire company that patients are unreliable drug-seekers who won't pay and so the orgs policies reflect that. I needed help asap and they got me in and on an ssri, but after 2 years with them, I'm 1000% done being treated like shit with honestly no record for them to treat me so. they're also federally funded so they have a lot of ridiculous rules because they want the gov money. pretty much a melting pot of things that make their care for patients actually suck. read more

I was a patient at the Lone Tree location until this morning when I finally made the decision to discontinue seeing them. Over the past few years, I have experienced so may many different problems, that it's difficult to nail down the root cause of their incompetence. I initially saw my doctor abruptly go away before we were scheduled to meet. I was never notified before I arrived, they simply told me they no longer worked there and had me meet with someone who had a schedule opening. I had over a year of time with my previous doctor and had no idea who this new doctor was nor did they seem to know anything about me and my background. Apparently, they didn't have time to review any of my records before our appointment. After that, it happened again a few months later. At this point, I raised a concern about it but, they blew it off. Separately, I have been over-charged a few times and it took several calls for each to get the billing rectified and my balance updated. They have sent my medications to the wrong pharmacies, they have been late to forward me medical records, and their latest failure has been to send my claims to the wrong insurance company. I sent my new insurance information to them 4 times and yet they still have not changed it. Because of this, they have yet again, over-billed me. 3 weeks ago I asked for another medical document and was told it would be sent the afternoon of 1/20. I have had to follow up on this request this over 8 times now and this morning they asked me to pay for the release. They still me owe me money from the insurance mistake and their asking for MORE. That's it, the end! The nail in the coffin... A special shout out to Jen L. and Daniella R. for the awful job you both have done. These two have wasted hours of my time and produced NOTHING. They treated me like a child I was not given the emotional freedom to even express how I was so frustrated with my lack of well being Dr Whig threatened to cancel me as a patient because I dared to question her methods and views on medication. My bipolar disorder had been successfully managed by previous psychiatrist, and upon her reading my records, she just refused to consider to continue that kind of medication regime. Beyond the worst. Scheduled an appointment with a therapist as a new patient the week before. Was told I'd get a callback more than 48 hours prior to the appointment for a pre-screen. That time passed. Called back again, spoke to someone else. Another day passed, no callback. Tried again that morning. Was told it would escalate to a manager and I'd get a callback by the end of the day. That passed without a callback. Tried again the morning the day of my appointment. Was told it would escalate to another manager as an emergency. 4 hours passed, nothing. Called back again, was told a manager was on the other line ready to do my pre-screen. Line switched over and I got a voicemail. Fed up, I called them one more time and asked them to remove my information from their system. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THESE MORONS. They will waste your time and lie to you repeatedly. I have no idea how this business makes a cent. read more

the compass system is set up for patient failure!! It is impossible to get through to an actual person and to have any issues communicated correctly and communicated to the correct person!!! My daughter who suffers with social anxiety was trying to advocate with her nurse practioner , Chika. She asked Chika to listen to her needs and that she needed a prescription refill. This was on a Wednesday. On Tuesday of the following week the refill was still not available. By this time my daughter was panicking because she was going to be out of medication. We have not been happy with the situations she has been placed in and the unnecessary stress. Chika is also an extremely judgemental health care worker and does not listen to her patients. I'm not sure I've ever encountered an organization nominally devoted to mental "health" that cared so little about the people it treats. My daughter began seeing the PNP there a couple of years ago; they were the only psychiatric practice taking new patients that also took our insurance. The "med checks" for anti-depressants were cursory, but the NP seemed to know what she was doing, and my daughter's depression improved. My daughter went to college and we set up appointments for breaks; the issue came when she was unable to attend her appointment at the beginning of this summer because she had training for work. She called repeatedly, chose "reschedule appointment" from the IVR, and got a message the mailbox was full. So she called again. And again. She finally was able to leave a message and never received a return call. Fast-forward (it's been a busy summer) to a week ago, when she realized she was down to a week's worth of pills. She called again; no call back. I called and spoke to someone (I chose "other" from the IVR) and explained our critical situation. The woman who answered said they couldn't prescribe even a week's worth of pills because she hadn't been in since January. She was utterly unmoved when I explained why, and had no advice for me about what to do about my daughter being out of Prozac. She said she'd send a message to the office for them to call me. I foolishly believed they would call, and help me find a solution. They did not. Three days later, my daughter is out of pills, and they are completely unconcerned. If you have ANY other option, do not go to this office. It's fine if everything's going along normally, but if you have any kind of emergency or irregularity, they are not interested in helping you (or even answering their damn phones and returning messages). This place tries hard and falls short due to their headquarters in Florida. The front desk people are fairly nice (depending on the day). The place is pretty much run by Mary and Carrie now. Mary has never really never been all that nice to me. She has a tendency to push people through the process as fast as she can. Mary is CLEARLY overworked. Carrie, however, is new to the practice and she hasn't yet be jaded by the system. She is caring and really wants to help. She makes it her mission to provide the best treatment possible. The tough part is that she is bound by the limitations of the Headquarters and, obviously, by the nature of the business she is in. Carrie wants to save the world one patient at a time. The reason for the 3 stars is that this place is full of students which is fine. The challenging part is that they don't always know how to handle patients and they get stuck doing the crappy work of having to ask all the same personal and repetitive questions to every patient. My experience usually starts out in a bad place just due to the in-take process before I actually get to see Carrie. Also, the HQ in Florida is a joke. They don't understand the needs and requirements of the healthcare that people in Lone Tree demand vs that of the folks they see in FL. Also, the billing and scheduling is absolutely dismal. Given the nature of the ailments this office addresses they fall WAY short of delivering an overall healthy, pleasant experience. read more

If you value your health, do not go here. Things were going well for a few months, until I had a bad reaction to a new medication. I tried calling (which they said they would get back with me) and also used there portal which allows to send messages. No responses whatsoever! After the worst month of my life, due to no direction or responses from Compass I finally had my monthly appointment. After this appointment, the doctor sent in the wrong prescriptions and I had to leave multiple messages again. After 3 weeks, my pharmacy still does not have the script and are trying to contact the doctor again. Thank God, I had some extra medication left over, but have only been able to take half in order to make them last. Another tough month! When I started coming here a year ago I was so depressed that I couldn't get out of bed. She got me properly diagnosed and medicated for a complex condition in no time. When Mary left, it all went downhill. It's so hard for me to get an appointment being a teacher and Chika constantly cancels my appointments. When I did get in and was trying new medication, she just verbally told me the very complicated directions. I had to ask her to write them down for me (don't doctors usually type these things up and print them out for you?) I have never EVER had so much trouble with a PCP. I try to call the Lone Tree office and it always disconnects me no matter if I call from different phones. The main office in Florida DOES lose your place in line if you ask them to call you back with the number you left them but they NEVER do. It was great at first, I was able to set up and appointment with a counselor and eventually a doctor. After that any requests to see a psychologist to get my depression medication checked were never followed up and it's been a month! I had an appointment with one that I set up through their patient portal, they never called. I emailed the head office, nothing. I found out through the doctor, which has been my one and only phone visit with him, that they offer two psychiatrists but one only sees in house patients. I've tried MULTIPLE times calling and using the patient portal to set up another one with no response. And I asked for some help in finding out if I'm hypoglycemic so they had me take a blood test. I set this up when I talked to the doctor the ONE time. The test was two weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything. I know it's difficult because of COVID but I've been in customer service since I was 14 and I'm in my late 30's. It's a phone call back with setting up an appointment, that's it. Oh and I had an appointment set up today with my counselor that has been set for two weeks and now it's been changed for another week without any notification. read more

OMG.......4PM appt.....its now 4:50 and I have heard nothing from Compass Health. This is a problem but good thing I'm a great problem solver. Time to get the media to look into this business. I interacted with Clinical Assistant who lied to me and said Dr. was calling now. Dr in question never called. I'm simply looking and asking for help in my mental welfare and so far neither All Health nor Compass Health Systems are professional and qualified to provide this. So far......this is my tally which have gone unresolved. Compass Health Systems Identified Issues 1. Appt with therapist for 6/9/20 was cancelled. Appointment with psychiatrist for 5/26/20 was cancelled. I never requested a cancellation so why did this occur? a. I want a notification with reason for cancellation as well as rescheduled date options. b. I want to receive a credit on my account for missed appts by your staff as you would do for patients who missed their appt. Just to be fair! 2. Wrong email on my profile a. My profile has a wrong email address associated to my account (F******N@gMAIL.COM.) and I never requested nor communicated this email address. I didn't even create my profile on the Compass Health System Patient Portal. b. How can we fix this and again, prevent this from happening in the future? 3. Multiple missed appointments by both therapist and psychiatrist as time went on. a. Compass Health policy missing appointments? Whats the resolution for Compass Health staff to charge patient for missed appointments. Can my account be credited for this issue or what can be done to rectify this issue? 4. No collaboration exists between assigned Therapist and Psychiatrist on my treatment. Is this common practice with Compass Health Systems? 5. Prescription refill requests not responded to via patient portal. 6. Appt with therapist, the first one, on 6/17/20 was 37 minutes in duration but billed for 60 minutes. a. Also, he did most of the talking. 7. Unable to correct user name using Patient Portal 8. Unable to reset password using Patient Portal 9. Request to Clinical Assistant to change user name encountered error by assistant in spelling the name correctly. Here's additional information for you to consider. Compass Health Systems terminated the partnership with the following reason: "This letter is to inform you that it has become necessary to terminate the professional relationship between Compass Health Systems and yourself. "At this time, doctor recommendations are not being followed and medications have been altered without doctor notification." "We will be happy to forward your clinical records to any desired physician with your written authorization." They can make up a any reason they want but it still not ethical. "Not following Dr. recommendations and medication altering" is a complete and utter lie. Therapist had me read 4 articles as my only homework assignment from our 37 minute appt, which I did, sent back with questions/feedback and got nothing!! As for medication altering, they prescribed 2 additional medications (Limotrigene and Adderal) and continued with 1 I was already on (Wellbutrin). I took em every day as instructed. I believe they exercised this action because I questioned and escalated their lack of care to their executive leadership team and never received response to the aforementioned issues documented above. I challenge them to show proof of these acquisitions . Anyways, you can see by their low rating and previous complaints this is not an organization you want to be part of for your treatment. read more

Worst company and worst customer experience I have ever had in my life. Staff and doctors are always unorganized and never communicate. If you need a refill and the doc in on vacation for two weeks your out of luck. They mess up your medications, say they will call you back, but they never do. I have been calling them everyday for three weeks because the new doctor changed my medication without telling me causing four week without Meds. I also went in and demanded to be seen since no one was calling me back I waited four hours to get in to not see my doctor but some random new person who completely messed up my prescription. Appointments are never on time I have waited an hour and a half after my apt multiple times. Why did I keep going? Because I didn't want to waste the time telling my whole story again. I will never go back and highly advise you to do your own research. My pharmacy at King soopers say they hear a lot of complaints about Compass health, they are not responsive to the pharmacy or the patients, oh and you have to stay on hold for about an hour to get through their call center in Florida. I am also having BBB investigate them for a series of things that have been done to me. Don't go to compass medical center. And I didn't want to give a one star but their wasn't a -100 star. read more

Compass Health the organization - I wouldn't recommend to anyone, ever. Compass Health does not appear to understand they provide a service and a mental health service to people who need it. One major component of effective mental health treatment is stability and trust. Practitioners are leaving faster than can be explained. The constant turnover is unacceptable for a mental heath "system". The phone system is a joke, it's just horrible. There is no way to call the local office. I needed to cancel an appointment and was on hold for over an hour. Once a person answers the phone, they are rude and dismissive. I strongly debated with myself if the "no show" charge was worth it. The notification/phone system also has a message system that needs to be adjusted. Compass sends text messages at 3am. When the appointment is not confirmed by text, the autobot calls start. If the autobot gets voicemail or you don't listen to the WHOLE message to push the # to confirm the appointment, they just keep calling. The appointment cannot be cancelled via the texts or calls received, which is ridiculous. I receive 2 - 3 texts and 3 - 4 phone calls in one day for each appointment. That is super excessive and bordering on harassment. The patient portal is not any better and any messages left there have NOT been forwarded to the practitioners. As mentioned by others, the company has a UA policy which is unnecessary and in my opinion just a way to collect more money from patients and insurance companies. UA's may be necessary for some patients but as a blanket policy makes zero sense. The only bright spot has been the friendly local office staff and the practitioners my minor child has seen often enough to trust. I suspect the office staff will probably leave as well due to poor management. I would recommend the individual practitioners in their new locations to anyone else who needed mental health care. read more

"what do you want" Chika, the provider, said in a harsh tone upon walking into the room. This provider Chika Achebe, PMHNP showed no compassion, kindness, or even normal courtesy. First 1/12/17 and second appointment 3/1/17 were terrible. She refused to refill his prescriptions. She didn't care and was more focused on getting through the appointments quickly. This is a Mental Health office. Patients expect and deserve common courtesy, at a minimum. 3/4/17: I sent an email complaint and a complaint via the compass colorado patient portal, to the office regarding Chika's behavior. I provided details along with the following: "Please have Chika re-evaluate her "bed side manner" which will also help other patients and my son. Chika's current behavior is hindering and only causes additional anger, humiliation, increased depression. My son was very angry with how Chika treated him yesterday. The good news, is that my son has remained drug free for over a month now; HOWEVER, behavior and treatment like how Chika treated my son could have and who knows, may still, pushes him into further depression, which then may trigger drug use. It's circular: Trigger, depression, drug use. (over and over again). My son is trying to break the cycle. To break a cycle such as this my son needs Medicine, Support, Guidance, kindness, and reachable goals; presented with kindness." 3/21/17: I received "Certified Mail" letter from Compass Health telling us that he was being discharged from the Compass Colorado Health Systems. "This means that you can no longer follow up with our providers or any other clinician affiliated with Compass Colorado Healthcare Systems." "Since you are permanently discharged from our practice and cannot continue your medication management with us, it has become necessary for us to refer you to another provider." "We have also sent a 30 day refill of all your psychotropic medications to your pharmacy." Good to finally get the prescription, but REALLY/!!! From what I can tell, instead of taking action with regard to Chika's attitude and behavior; Compass Colorado Health Care Systems, Inc. decided to blame the patient and permanently discharge my son from seeing any Compass Colorado Health provider. Absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional, and with total disregard for the patient. read more

I was nervous about going in but the front office (Lindsey?) was professional and is truly a people person. She made me feel comfortable, like family. She has helped me with my insurance issues and I feel better just seeing Lindsey. I left the office feeling good about my health (Mary is just okay), and also knowing that I have support when I need it and I know that whenever I call, they will do all they can to accommodate my needs. Dr. Chica Achebe was the worst Doctor I have ever seen. She has no compassion and is very insensitive. If you need a prior authorization and it is complicated at all she will give up and just leave you without having your medicine covered by insurance. When I tried to tell her what the issue was and how to fix she just laughed in my face and said it was the pharmacy's fault and said she did everything she could. The pharmacy clearly told me that because she was a nurse practitioner my insurance wouldn't cover the prescription. She could have called the insurance co or had a doctor who was an MD prescribe the medicine, but she refused to this. One time I missed an appointment bc of an urgent family issue and I had also ran out of my medication. I couldn't get an appointment for a week and half. So I called to ask if she could prescribe me enough of the medication at least until my next appointment. She would not do this no matter what. Without this medicine I go into withdrawal with pretty crappy symptoms, but she could care less. Like it was would be so hard to call in at least some of the script until I saw her knowing how I described that I would basically be in agony. Also during our appts I told her I had really bad anxiety plus sometimes panic attacks and that I needed an anti anxiety med. I had been prescribed anti anxiety meds before in the past which I told her. She said no because she is mean. I don't know why she is tough as nails and has no compassion for her patients, but that's just the way she is. The office also would tell me I owed them money for missed appointments that I had never missed they just racked a few extra on there saying I had to pay over $100. I just moved to Colorado from Philadelphia and the whole experience with Dr. Achebe was not a warm welcome to Colorado to say the least. I now have a great doctor. Dr. Jeffrey Richmond. He is so nice and such a caring guy. He couldn't believe how terribly I was treated and I am so thankful I found him. The one person who gave a great review of Dr. Achebe plus the office must have be a made up person and the office wrote review themselves because I don't know how Dr. Achebe could save anyone's life let alone help them at all. Don't even bother calling these people unless you are truly desperate. You cannot talk to them without paying up front. If you have a question or a problem with insurance processing your prescription you have to call Florida, who close at 4:30 EST; that's 2:30 in Denver. All you can do is leave a message for the Dr.s nurse, who doesn't call back. I waited 4 weeks for a prescription fix that I called them about 1st thing, the pharmacy faxed twice, and I called 5 or 6 more times but couldn't even get off hold after 20 minutes for 3 of those times. Then I went elsewhere. I can't say I had any particular difficulty with Dr. Achebe as others have, but their reviews don't surprise me. read more

Despite the negative reviews, I tried to give this place a chance. I've only been a patient for about four months, and have seen three separate psychiatrists. How are they supposed to track my progress/regression if they've only met with me once? The last appointment I had, my prescription went down from 100 mil to 50 mil, and the psychiatrist told me to halve what I had leftover from my previous appointment. I received no confirmation that a new prescription had been refilled. Once I had a couple left of the halved 100 mil, I tried calling. I called three times total with no calls back until I was able to speak with someone. She was very short and unwilling to listen to why I had run out of my prescription early. She was also unwilling to refill my prescription so I'm currently a person with a mental illness stuck in a position without medication. This is NOT okay. There are people I've interacted with who made me stay longer because they were professional and friendly. But this lady has officially made me decide to look elsewhere for a psychiatrist. read more

I just wish I could less than a star for Dr. Achebe. I should have known better that to take my wife to her when I saw the low ratings for her on Web MD. We are new to CO, so finding doctors is a role of the dice. I accompanied my with on the visit, and she has memory recall issues due to an unfortunate event in 2016 resulting in hypoxia. (Damage to brain due to lack of Oxygen. So me approach in our setting up new doctors is to let her answer their question first, and to softly correct if my wife answers wrong due to brain insult. In my first correction, Dr Achebe stopped me and said she wanted to talk to my wife. That's fine, but there are now a number of inaccurate data points due to my wife's inability to recall. She was abrupt, and I see why people refer to her as rude. Boom, boom, boom, here's your prescription and I'll see you in a month. This is while our Neurologist advised caution in approaching this as there may be adverse impacts to an anti-depressant on her hypoxic brain damage. It was our first and LAST visit to her. Your decision, but read the reviews here, and on WebMD. Make your own call. But we will be staying as far away from her as possible. I saw Chika Achibe in 2017 and she convinced me to do Genomind testing. I was told that because I had lost my job I would be rated for the test by income and that it would cost $80.00. I have received a bill for $300.00 for over two years and I have done everything to try to settle it. I was finally able to settle it today for $100.00, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. It's ruined my credit and has served me no real purpose because my sister and mother have taken the test and gotten completely different "genetic results." I'm beginning to think it's just random. I got a separate bill from the office for $30.00 that I have been trying to pay since 2017 and thankfully that one hasn't gone to collections but I do not have checks and the website to pay is always down https://healow.com/compass .
