I believe the word needs to get out even more that this is a really wonderful practice for not only treatment for back pain, but also care for the whole person. Dr. Katie Holstein runs it on her own. The practice has a personalized, small business feel and differentiates itself from all those large clinics out there these days. She has really gotten to know me and appreciates my business. But that personalized care translates into treating conditions that other doctors might not have the time and/or patience to delve into. For instance, she seemed genuinely concerned that I had chronically tight calves. She really investigated options for me while other practitioners just told me to stretch more. She suggested I try compression socks, and that finally did the trick. I never would have known otherwise. Without medication or surgery, I'm now able to overcome that chronic pain. I originally went to Garrow Wellness Center for PT and their physical therapist literally got me back on my feet! I walked in to this practice wearing a full leg brace with a reactive arthritis diagnosis and unable to take medication since I was pregnant and 2-3 weeks later, I was able to walk without my brace and my pain was gone! I developed more unexplained inflammation in my neck and shoulders after giving birth and when no medication or injections could help the pain, working with this practice's acupuncturist over the course of a few weeks has not only greatly reduced my pain and increased my mobility, but I am able to take care of my baby again. I was on a mini vacation in Belmar and he was referred to me but wasn't in the office. I left a message. His asst called me back and asked if I could come in ASAP. When I did, the Dr followed 2 minutes later. He examined me and told me to relax and lay down When I did he told me to wiggle my toes And within that second I wasn't paying attention, he broke my neck. I gasped in shock!!!! He asked me to sit up and I was able to move my neck back and fourth. I said "OMG how did you do that??!?!" He laughed and told me I just needed a neck adjustment I had feared the worst before meeting him at his office I thought I was Paralyzed!!!!!
