I have gone to that church for a year for civic duties and what got me the most was a sign posted…read morein the bathroom. The mission statement saying that we welcome everybody and we don't exclude anybody. That's my kind of place. I look forward to attending service there soon.

I've attended Epiphany for about 5 years. What do I find here? Welcome. Fellowship. Compassion…read more Charity. The Word of Christ. Epiphany is small enough I can recognize people. Services usually consist of 3 scriptural (gospel) readings matching the holy season, with hymns and a choir, followed by the sermon (using modern examples to relate to the scripture), collection, communion, announcements and closing. There's a brunch after the service. All are welcome at communion if you want to come up, if you don't want to receive it, simply cross your hands and we'll say a prayer. Children are welcome here and not silenced in shame. If they ask for donations, they explain why, whether it's Church maintenance or supporting charities. As an Episcopal, or Anglican, church, we broke with Catholic traditions in middle ages so the traditions of the church are very similar to Catholics with some big exceptions like not subscribing to the doctrine of infallibility and generally being much more liberal. So liberal we welcome and respect female and even gay priests. Christ accepted outcasts and I feel if those condemned by other churches are welcome, I'm welcome. One reason I joined the Episcopal church was because the first one I entered had a sign. "He died to wash away your sins, not to wash your brain". You don't have to reject science to worship here. There are 2260 pages in my personal Bible. If you think the only message on over 2000 pages can be summed up as "hate gays" or "hate anyone", you probably won't like our church. But we will welcome and respect you.
