Meridian Acupuncture is a safe healing space to pause, reset, and integrate putting yourself first…read more Expect exceptional care and attention to your needs! I truly wouldn't be alive if it weren't for the team at Meridian! Upon walking in, you are instantly transported to a peaceful place to slow down and take charge of your health. Your environment is vital when healing, and Meridian sets you up for success. Also, the herbal tea is a MUST. Please ask your practitioner about the formula they would recommend. The Feng shui is off the charts and the owners are driven to paint different walls yearly for good luck and healing. The intentionality of the owners and staff is top-notch. Meridian is a place where the staff takes care of themselves. So, you can expect the utmost care. Don't be afraid to be honest during your consultation, as that will give you the best path forward. If you aren't honest, they can read your pulse. So, you might as well open up about the specifics to optimize your session and help the practices understand any additional needle placements. Prepare for long term Acupuncture. It simply isn't a one-off Healing session. Sure, some folks can come less. But lets be honest, in our modern world, who isn't bursting at the seams on a personal and global level. Choosing Meridian shortly after they opened almost 15 years ago was one of the best decisions I ever made. With my chronic dis-ease, auto-immune, paralysis... I would not be alive if it weren't for Acupuncture at Meridian. And I've been to many Acupuncturists but the needling at Meridian is different. They know additional techniques that are safer for people with my conditions (think Japanese needling - not as deep of a needle). So, stop thinking, call Meridian, and do the dang thing!

Then 1.5 weeks with just pressure and sore eyes and that wobbly feeling. Then back with a vengeance. No one has ever said try acupressure. Omg. I'm going to be human again. Just let me know when I can move in okay?

I have been a patient at Common Ground Wellness since 2019…read more I went Common Ground for anxiety and pain. With their care I was able to discontinue my medication. I now continue to go for maintenance and relaxation. Shelby and Paige are excellent practitioners. They take the time to get to know you and are genuinely interested in your wellbeing.

I *heart* my acupuncturist Shelby at Common Ground Wellness. I met Shelby a couple of years ago…read morewhen she first relocated to Louisville and started to build her practice locally. While I'm lucky enough not to have major physical ailments, I have seen Shelby for sleep issues and general stress maintenance brought-on by my busy life as a corporate attorney and non-stop, churning mind. After years of restless sleep, I can now proudly say I sleep with ease thanks to my monthly acupuncture treatments. I have referred many friends and family to Shelby, and there is no other practitioner I would trust with my loved ones. She was exceedingly helpful in treating my father's Parkinson's symptoms, and in helping other family members with a wide array of varying health issues. Her advice is solid, sound and practical. She helps make the practice of acupuncture approachable and easy to understand. (And as someone who has always disliked needles and medical procedures, I can assure you that acupuncture needles are indeed extremely tiny and nothing to fear.) The wonderful thing about acupuncture is that it seems to help treat symptoms where other forms of medicine cannot. Acupuncture is a great supplemental form of wellness care to add to your existing routine, or to pursue as a stand-alone treatment. The environment at Common Ground Wellness is calming and serene, which is exactly what you need when seeking to balance mind and body through wellness. The bonus of visiting her office is the mini-zen art show you can experience in each of the treatment rooms. Shelby is a well-rounded practitioner and has great reviews for solid reasons. I can't recommend Shelby highly enough!

In my travels, all the "big cities" I've visited have had this wonderful green beauty/natural…read moreliving culture that I've always wished KY or at least Louisville would embrace - enter Dr. Wu. After receiving an amazing facial from a holistic aesthetician while visiting a friend, I started my search for someone who could perform facial gua sha/acupuncture vs use strong chemicals on my skin. Don't get me wrong, I love a good clinical facial but "green beauty" has become popularized thanks to social media and the less chemicals I can put on my skin the better! After looking for what felt like forever, I ran across this nondescript website for Dr. Wu and her authentic Chinese acupuncture clinic with "Cosmetic Acupuncture" as a service. I called immediately and was able to make an appointment within 2 weeks. My appointment was blissful. Dr. Wu (who is a Licensed and Board Certified Acupuncturist by NCCAO) asked me what my concerns were with my skin, took my pulse, checked my tongue and had me lie on a massage table after changing into a robe. She cleansed my face and then proceed to place needles on my extremities and then a cluster of them on all the "problem areas". After placement she handed me a bell, turned on music and said she would be back in 30mins. Pretty sure I fell asleep because she was back in a blink to removed the needles. After cleaning my skin again she then began the facial portion which included a light cleanse, deep cleanse, extractions, customized herb mask for my skin needs with arm/neck/scalp massage, custom serum, followed by lots of face massaging with a gua sha tool and jade roller. It was heaven. I think the appointment lasted 2 hours in total and I was jello. After the appointment she gave me a hand written prescription sheet on my skin needs that told me to eat more fruit, increase my water, utilize ginger caps for stomach issues and if I needed any products she could make the mask/show me which she used for purchase. She also gave me follow up recommendations for facial acupuncture alone. There is absolutely no pressure to purchase anything and if you have any kind of reaction to the products she will bring you in for free acupuncture to help it heal quicker. Dr. Wu was thorough, informative and kind. She described what she was going to do prior to doing it and the rationale behind it. She mentioned that she does this especially with first time clients but then again if she changes anything in the routine on subsequent visits. She also performs traditional acupuncture. I wish I would have taken a photo of my lines before and after because they were greatly diminished and I had soo many compliments on my skins glow. This is not botox, it doesn't paralyze movement and wont last 3 months, but is safer alternative that can help promote collagen production over a series of visits. I'm definitely a fan!
