They have refuse to correct the problems on my roof even though the State Board of Contractors wrote up violations & what was needed as CMHS is not/will not honor their contract with an disable elderly US born citizen - they even made a mess of my siding. This company is GREAT!! I bought a mobile recently and the previous owners could've taken better car of the place. I had a faucet that needed replacing. They did a great job. A couple months after for some reason it was leaking so they came back and fixed it under warranty. They also woke RC with me on doing some work under the house with the piers and clips and balancing, also secured some of the duct work and dryer vents that were in need of some help. I would be seriously leary of this company. I received a cold phone call from a guy named Lawrence from CMS and he sounded nice enough. I usually dismiss cold calls. He said his company would be in the area and asked if they could come out and complete a "Free" inspection. I need a couple things taken care of so I said yes to them coming out. He asked if my wife would be there and I said no she has an appointment at the time. I asked why she needed to be there. He said "We like to have both the home owners there at the same time." He abruptly, said goodbye and hung up on me. That sends up a big red flag to me. That made me go on this site to see all the negative reviews. :) read more

If you want a cheaper quote but don't mind bad customer service, then CMS is for you. We interviewed a couple other mobile home contract service providers and then we met with EZ from CMS. His tactics worked because we got roped into a contract that they defaulted on. That allowed us to renegotiate a new one. Once the work is done, good luck on getting ANYONE to return your calls. We have an issue with our awning not draining properly and every time we call, we're told that we still haven't got our final sign off yet and they'll make the repair when they do. That was 3 months ago. The foreman (Bill) and the salesman (EZ), are useless when it comes to responding. They have our money and that's all they care about. I would NOT recommend this company at all. read more

In August 2021, I called CMHS to service my swamp cooler. There was water leaking out of it whenever we used it. The salesman said that he could offer a super service package + float for $850, and find and diagnose any issues. They didn't tell me that they had not fixed the leak or at least offer me additional service. They also didn't tell me that the float wasn't working properly. Today, I had Calstar here to do the same service. It is now completed - no leak, same price. read more

Called them to install electrical plug underneath the kitchen sink for my dishwasher and garbage disposal they did the wiring wrong dishwasher works but not the garbage disposal.call the company Bill told me the fella quit and no longer works there told me he was going to send a man out it's been 2 weeks no one been out! Bad business bad management. Had to call another electrician he told me they did a micky mouse job. He told me they should have their license revoked this was dangerous!! read more

Community Mobile Homes painters did a fantastic job on my older Mobile Home. The father-son team were friendly, punctual, super-fast and did a wonderful job. My place had most likely not been painted  in the last few decades and there were repairs , etc. that needed to be done, as well as a lot of painting. The prep work they did was awesome and the paint was of a very high quality. All the neighbors just loved watching them. As you can see by the photo, the work was perfect. read more

We've been using this company for the past 6 yrs. We needed some work done on our bracing piers and our home needed to be leveled. They did a really good job so we have used them ever since. My husband loves that they come out twice a year at no charge and make sure there are no leaks or anything that we might not know about. We recently had them replace our roof and they did a great job as usual. We definitely recommend their services. (Both of our neighbors use them now too) read more

Please do not use this company , they take advantage of the elderly. They called my client and he said ok come and look . The lady showed up , looked under the mobile , so far so good. They came out, did the job and my client paid. Here comes the bad part they did not do things right so my client called them. Gave him a hard time in the phone but said someone will be out. 3 days later this guy finally comes out , does not come to the door , he was being sneaky and my client saw him, so he went out to talk. I would not recommend using this company. The boss John is rude if you have a complaint he just simply hangs up on you. They told us they would start our job in a few days cashed our deposit check right away and the work has not been started after waiting 2 weeks! No materials have been ordered and when we asked for our deposit back which was alot of money john the owner, said that we would have to forfeit the money. Heck no, will I allow them to keep my money this is their fault. We were so excited to get these improvements done to our home. I will just go elsewhere. Their secretaries have a screwed up attitude and get very defensive when you call upset! We have every right to be upset we gave them money right away we expect to have the work done right away! This company is ridiculous. Not professional at all it almost feels like they're running it out their garage. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I specifically asked for some framing to be done a specific way before they quoted it. They arrived and didn't do any of the requested framing. Worker said that info wasn't relayed to him. I called them on it, and it turned into a major fight about what was going to be put in. Arrived a second day only to find out they had decided to put it in again a different way than I had originally asked for. Again a major fight where the worker threatened to call his boss and abandon the work site, I told him to give me his number and I'll talk to him too, (he of course did not) he walked away and I heard him lying to his boss about what was being requested trying to sway the boss to call it off. (Boss declined apparently) Boss might be great, Workers are Liars, plain and simple. Wish I had never called them. Wouldn't let these guys work on my dogs house. read more

I had an emergency wall furnace installation on December 30, 2014. The work was made more difficult by limited space and poor lighting. The owner of the business and a long time employee began the project early in the day and completed the project in the evening. There was another project which also needed attention and they also completed that. They were hard working, professional, on time and knowledgeable and I do not hesitate to recommend this company. I used this company about 5 years ago for replumbing my mobile home. They disposed of all boxes and packing materials and took away the old furnace and cleaned up the work area. read more

Our air conditioning broke, so we called a different company to come out and fix it, the guy came out and said that it was completely busted and that we needed a whole new unit. We were weary of this and decided to call Community Mobile Home Services and John came out the next day, and fixed the problem without us needing to replace anything. He was very kind, answered all of our questions and was very knowledgable about his business. He completely saved us from getting ripped off and I will never use anyone other then this company just because of how great the service was. I can't speak on other reviews, but I am completely impressed with everything that was done and how it was handled and I will continue to use them if anything in the future happens. read more

BEWARE of this company! After Community was supposed to have replaced all of my plumbing, there was a leak under my home. I shouldn't have been surprised when an independent inspector found the pipes from my washing machine were draining under my home! Community also did not guarantee their work nor did they obtain a permit to do this extensive work! I wrote to the owner of this company and within hours of receiving my letter, he was at my doorstep to take a look at the problem.. He pointed out the difference between potable water and gray line water. I stressed to him that plumbing and pipes are plumbing and pipes to me. When I got a replumb job, I figured I would have no more problems with my plumbing. He, John, was very generous in the time he took to inspect my property and showed me the differences, and was very concerned about my complaints and what he could do to resolve them. I thought Community Mobile Home Services showed a great deal of integrity for the work that they did. With the owner actually coming out to look at the work, especially the pipes for the drainage for my washing machine, I thought I had found a great repair company - until inspectors from the City came out to look at that same drain. It wasn't just for my washing machine, but my bathroom shower and sink as well as the kitchen sink. Water was draining right under my home! You can imagine my ire when it was pointed out to me that the pipes weren't broken - they weren't even long enough to stop the leak! Pipes do not shrink. I came to the conclusion that Community set my home up for additional repairs. The company that ended up doing the drain repairs also pointed out the plumbing changes Community had made on my lines - which would have resulted in additional plumbing problems (for which Community would have anticipated being the repair people!) I would beware of this company even coming out for a bid! read more

We were very disappointed with the service of this company! I should say not the service by the company. Approximately 2 months ago we called Community Mobile Home Services to request information about installing a modular shower stall in our San Juan Capistrano home. A time was set up to check our place and provide an estimate for the work. The representative of the company, Bill Ebright, came out and did measurements of the area and said the company could do the job. He stated he would get back to us with an estimate in about a week or so. After about 3 weeks we called the company and they said Bill was really busy, but would get back to us soon. Approximately 3 weeks later we had heard nothing from Bill so we called the company again and was told they would check the status. Now, it is about 3 weeks later and no call or anything from the company or Bill. This non-action tells me this company is not reliable. If I received a call today I would not use them. I would never recommend Community Mobile Home Services to anyone. read more
