Brought my son here for his booster shot and they were so helpful. We were in and out with no appointment. Highly recommend.

Urgent Care Pros- Lakewood

I picked this place off a long list from my insurance... wasn't sure what to expect but I needed…read moreX-rays so went here. First, let me say this place was amazingly clean, and even had refreshments in waiting area. The young lady at the counter was friendly and professional. You hand them your ID and health insurance card... and the rest is done on your phone.. so easy!!! I don't feel the wait was very long, especially for a weekend at an urgent care. I was seen rather quickly and my entire visit, including X-rays, results, medications and paperwork was just over an hour. I think I take longer at my regular doctor sometimes!!! Everyone was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The doctor explained everything to me, they gave me some shots to get thru the day... and I think this was an amazing experience! Highly recommend and will definitely use them again.

In terms of customer service, the service was exceptional. Mandy and Jessica took care of me and I…read morecannot overstate how impressed I was by their welcoming service. Unfortunately, 2 days after visiting, my experience left me frustrated and scratching my head. My main complaint is I was prescribed fluoroquinolone antibiotics (Cipro) for a sting ray sting, without any mention about the well documented risks associated with lasting tendon rupture and collagen matrix disruption. It was only once I'd done my research that I had to call to see if we can switch. One of the PA's (Paula, also exceptional) took my call and even said she was glad that I caught that and did not understand why I was prescribed Cipro when there are much safer alternatives out there. When I had gone in, I was also given a steroid shot to help with inflammation and left in the room for some time. I started to get quite nauseous and felt close to fainting. I had to step outside and call for someone, just to be told "yeah this happens often, forgot to warn you" and "you beat me to checking in on you." What's worse is I came to find out combining fluoroquinolones with corticosteroids (steroid shots) have been documented to a FOURTEEN (14!) FOLD increased risk of tendinopathy and tendon rupture (D. Baggio, M.R. Andana-Rajah, 2021). Why on earth would you combine a fluoroquinolone and corticosteroids? If there are safer antibiotics, why fluoroquinolone alone? The whole experience just feels medically untrained or professionally careless. I'm completely bewildered, and quite frustrated.

I've been coming here for over two decades now, and Dr. Kim is extremely knowledgeable and always…read morediagnoses and recommends me with everything that is appropriate to heal me including a fractured arm, eye infection, and general blood work testing. Not to mention that the staff is very responsive and fairly quick to get me checked in. The nurses are also very knowledgeable and great - especially when it comes to the general blood work check up. They were kind (and because I'm afraid of needles) they made small talks to divert my attention to the needle. As for prescription, the staff does an amazing job to make sure that all prescription orders are efficiently and timely sent to the pharmacy that I request. Thank you Cerritos Medical Center!

I strongly do not recommend this clinic. Giving even one…read morestar feels too generous. I went in for a blood test and later received results, only to be told afterward that the results were incorrect and the test needed to be repeated due to an error on their end. Despite this, there was no clear explanation or follow-up from the clinic. After more than a month, we received a bill, which is what prompted us to call. During that call, there was no apology for the mistake, the delay, or the inconvenience we experienced. Instead, we were spoken to in a confrontational and argumentative manner, being told that because a visit took place, payment was required. It is deeply frustrating to go to a medical facility, pay for care, and then be left dealing with mistakes, poor communication, and an unpleasant attitude. Medical offices should take responsibility for their errors and treat patients with basic respect. I am leaving this review so others can avoid the same upsetting and uncomfortable experience.
