I looked for my usual miller lite tall boy, but something caught my eye. a simple, clear bag that contained something short of a miracle. A coke and small whiskey, for only 5 bucks. I grab it, to cash out and to my surprise Pour N' More went above and beyond. The very kind man at the register tells me, hey bud this comes with a cold cup of ice you can grab on your way out. I was astonished. If a WWIII was to happen tonight, I would come back to hold guard for this amazing establishment.

At five minutes before closing time, my wife apparently calls JFK Liquor (long distance) and asks for a favor. Since I'm going to be stuck there for our Anniversary she asks them to deliver a bottle of my favorite bourbon to the hotel. They not only delivered the bourbon, they decorated the bag and had it there before I checked in. You can't find service like this anymore. These people really care about their customers. On behalf of my wife and myself, thank you for making this anniversary very special.

These guys have some wonderful store pics, for example, they recently had a er10 cask strength store pick.I do love that they constantly have events where vendors come in and you can sample bottles just about every week. My biggest hangup although is that the older generation That runs the establishment is friggin prejudice AF. Every time I visit and I notice the son, or mother is not present , I feel like I'm a part of the scene in Boyz n da hood where Kane and O Dog go into the Korean store. Dude follows me around, always seems to be dusting or restocking something near me. Or he's just freaking indifferent and ignores me when I need assistance. Dude (the father) , straight up treats, anyone that's the wrong type of Brown like trash. It's even more crazy it's coming from a guy much browner than me. Oh and when you do make a selection and move to the counter to pay, on several occasions he's "negs" credit card as if it's some sort of cut down that my black ass can't afford to pay it out of my own banking account... Like WTF? I didn't go to the store for two years because of an experience like this with this "man". I decided to try to give him and Liquor Cabinet a chance again over the past year, But I think I'll drop by one more time to get a couple of store picks I'd been eyeing and claim one more allocated and I'm done completely. It sucks as the son is doing a fine job, and outside of the passive racism and prejudice from the father it's a model all independent stores should follow.
