There is almost always multiple people here and they're very fast and efficient. My doctor is on the second floor and you have a choice between the elevator or the staircase. These days I opt for the staircase because my doctors want me exercising as much as possible. It's never a long wait for me as they always bring me in right around my actual appointment time. Everyone is professional and courteous, and the doctor and their staff all listen to what I have to say. My appointments are fairly short as my care is very well managed these days. Even though this doctor is now almost an hour drive for me. I still find it worthwhile to make the trip for the quality of Care.

Milstein, MD, and Japher Bernal, MD. Both took excellent care of me and were able to diagnose my problem from day one. I have a special commendation for my incredible nurses: Nurse Rebeka, who calls herself "mamma bear" and means it!, Nurse Monique, a wonderful professional lady, Nurse Michael and his student, Jessie, who helped me even when they were not assigned to do so; and Nurse Zie, a real sharp lady that can keep her wits about her. I was visited several times by the great Nurse Manager, Janet A. and the Charge Nurse whose name I failed to obtain. Likewise, my very best recommendations go to all the Nurse Technicians/Assistants: the young, beautiful and smart Lana Young; Brittania Nelson and Diamond, full of energy! But, my visit would not have been such a success without the incredible assistance of Jose and Lisa, the two Physical Therapists assigned to me. They showed me I could do what I didn't think possible; the Food and Nutrition services Marisol, and Queenie, the Case Manager. She truly cares for her patients... and wants to help them get well... I felt like I was dying this year...literally...I couldn't stand without toppling over or running into walls, I couldn't put two thoughts together... I'd forget what I was trying to say MID-WAY in a sentence! I looked like I hadn't slept in months...deep, dark circles under my eyes...my family was super worried about me... I had begun to "get my affairs in order". :( I didn't want my husband or kids to have to get rid of useless stuff when I was gone... they'd be dealing with enough emotional issues... so I was trying to make things easier on them... WHILE just enjoying the rest of my days... Frandzie was determined to find out what was wrong with me and help me... I had blood work done, got some other tests done that I'd never even heard of before, and went to several specialists she referred me to, personally... She went above and beyond to take care of me... Come to find out, I had completely STOPPED producing hormones... Apparently that's a really bad thing...It was suspected that I might have Addison's... Thankfully, that's not what I had... Through her very thorough testing...she discovered the reason my body stopped functioning like it was supposed to. It was actually something super weird that you wouldn't think would cause any issues... One of the medications I was taking (that a different Dr. prescribed me), ALMOST killed me. Once I got OFF that medication, I started improving... I'm not 100% yet, but I'm on my way to being well... :) I'm no longer running into walls, or toppling over... and I can think again... I don't seem like an Alzheimer's patient anymore... :) I am thankful to God that I found this practice and these wonderful people... especially Frandzie... :) The office staff are wonderful! Always kind and willing to help me in any way... I feel at home here... The office at Vanguard Medical Center, is such is so warm and inviting...and when you're called back to a room, it's so cozy... more like a home than a medical office... And Frandzie sits with you and talks to you like a REAL person... You KNOW she cares... Not like most medical offices, where they come in for 5 minutes IF you're lucky... and they give you their best guess... and hope that it works... I LOVE going to my appts here because I know I'm being well cared for... This is the first time in my entire life that I have real hope of getting better... I have other health issues... and I know Frandzie is working to help me live a normal life... Not live a sick life... I wish I had gone to a Functional medicine practice sooner... Thank God for Vanguard and all their wonderful people... Because of them, (and Frandzie), I am alive... :) I'll take Frandzie over ANY medical Dr. out there, hands down! :)

Based on my first experiences with this one, I have to say that I am very happy. I was able to get…read moremy initial appointment with only a weeks notice and thankfully it was an in person visit. We spent a good hour on the first appointment covering everything that needed to be covered and setting up to get, all my records from the other doctors I see. The location is not as convenient for me as others I have gone to, but it's still a reasonable drive and definitely worth making. Everybody I spoke to and met was friendly and make me feel comfortable. My next appointment was set for only a month down the road with blood work in between. We hope that they will have at least some of my records by the time I come back in. We are already talking about working to get me a couple of specialists that I am looking to see. I should probably write more once I have had multiple visits and have a good idea that the quality of care will continue.

Getting on a treadmill with a working TV that has all the channels is a total gamble and nobody on staff knows how to fix them. Nice, big free weight area and loads of machines. It's usually crowded, except on the days you would expect it to be quiet. I have started going pretty late and it seems to be okay after 6:30pm. There's always some weirdo doing really odd exercises near the squat racks. It's a handful of people doing stuff that requires them to be on the ground a lot for some reason. Maybe it's Crossfit or something, but the fact that there is always someone over there not using the racks and rolling around on the ground makes me not want to be over there.

My husband was taken to the Orlando Health South Lake Hospital ER with severe kidney stone pain, literally crying and groaning in a wheelchair. We waited for over an hour, and when I asked how much longer it would take, the triage nurse was rude and completely lacking empathy, saying there were "many people ahead," "only one doctor," and "no rooms available." She even said some had been waiting for 5 hours -- as if my husband's pain didn't matter -- and then made him sign a paper and told him to "leave now." He was never given anything for the pain, even though he was clearly suffering and this was his second ER visit that week for the same issue. It was an inhumane, disrespectful, and heartbreaking experience. We left and went to AdventHealth Clermont, and the difference was like night and day -- kind, compassionate, and professional care. He was seen and treated within 20 minutes. If you're looking for dignified and compassionate care, Orlando Health South Lake Hospital is definitely not the place.

She called Centra Care and asked if the providers would be able to write a script for lab testing. She was told yes. Went for the visit, paid her $50 upfront. Then was told they were sorry, but they could not write a script for lab. Staff was empathetic, and admitted that at times they do give scripts for lab. Waste of time and feels like we should able to get our money back?
