The prior authorization person will continue to ignore the Dr's request as well as yours. It does not take 3 to 4 weeks to send in a prior authorization. This means that this person doing their job is not capable of handling the work. The Dr's and front staff are nice and helpful, but will lie cover their coworkers mistake even if it cost you your health. Please go elsewhere if you have chronic illness that need constant care and certain medications.

The next year, I declined the labs because I had to pay for them out of pocket the year prior. Nicholas said he would cancel some and just do the essential labs that would be included with the annual exam and not coded as extra to my insurance. Well that was a lie and I have the exact same bill this year from labs not covered by my insurance. Therefore, I cannot recommend this UCHealth location. They lies, don't listen when patients decline services, and then bill for the declined services. I believe this is medical malpractice, but the bill is less than lawyer fees so just trying to get the word out; these guys are complete crooks.

I had to cancel a long-awaited surgery because of poor admin from this place. I received a text…read moremessage to do the medical passport, but I was in Ireland, and the link kept saying the language was Danish and wouldn't connect me. Someone called me directly, and I told her I couldn't connect but would be back in the US on the Monday before my Friday surgery. She said that was plenty of time to fill it out as all I needed was 48 hours. I filled out the passport upon my return only to find out there was a list of drugs that I couldn't take from three days to two weeks before the surgery. I take Plavix, and that needed seven days off of it. So, my surgeon canceled the surgery. I don't see how "48 hours is enough" when some of the drugs need two weeks abstinence. Now, I have to wait six months until I can have my surgery.

Dr. McCann and Bernie(at the front desk) are fantastic. However, the other woman that works in that…read moreoffice is probably one of the rudest people I have ever experienced in my entire 35 years of life, and that's saying something because I work in the travel industry and see close to 400 different people a day. Dr.McCann removed my gallbladder for me after dealing with the worst pain I've ever had in my entire life. The first time I dealt with her, I was scheduled for surgery at Audubon Surgical Center, and after being told it would $4,000 to remove my gallbladder, the surgery center told me that if I'm in a lot of pain, to call Dr.McCann and see what else I should do. I then called NSSA, and she answered the phone, she put me on hold and then hung up on me, when I tried to call back, it's like my calls were getting screened. She finally answered and said she canceled the surgery since I couldn't pay for it, and I asked her like what do I do? I'm still in pain, at that point my pain was at a 8-9. I was literally in tears on the phone, this woman had no empathy, she told me that if it isn't right for me, then I shouldn't eat it. Basically saying that I shouldn't eat bad foods to avoid having a GB attack. Mind you I'm in pain for the past 2 days at that point and I just found out the day before it was my gallbladder. So it wasn't like I was living with this for years. Then she said well, if you can't afford it, you can't take it out. I hung up on her. Balling my eyes out. I told my husband I couldn't take the pain anymore, so I went to the ER, where Dr. McCann, took my Gallbladder out on Wednesday morning, after spending the entire night in the hospital. Now, fast forward to today. My job needs paperwork notating the surgery and that I was gone so they can complete my claim. And they said they were waiting on a form that came from the doctor's office, so I then called to ask about it, and the first time, I was hung up on. The second time, no introduction just hello? So then I explained to her that my job was waiting on the form and she rudely said, "Well, do you want the form now? Or tomorrow?" I told her my job needed that form, and that's what they were waiting for, she then said "Fine." I've never dealt with a nastier human being ever when it comes to doctors offices. Dr.McCann was and is fantastic and Bernie is great, however, this woman needs to learn empathy and common human contact skills, because holy moly, she's terrible.
