Now I'm not as handy as most people, but I know when it comes to needing something from a hardware store, this is the place I go when I'm in this neck of the woods. This is a family owned business. Decent pricing and they seem to know who you are when you walk in the door. I believe financing is available if you are in a pinch which is a huge plus. Sometimes small towns have some of the best hidden businesses. Always a pleasure when you find one of them.

Best place for lumber, much better quality than the big retailers for the same price. I used to go…read moreto Home Depot for wood because I liked being able to sort through the stack to get the best and straightest boards, and at Bobik's they pick it for you and load it into your car, but every 2x4 I got at Bobik's was straight and better than Home Depot's best boards. You get top quality "premium" for the same price as Home Depot's lower quality "choice" boards. Also, they custom-cut a perfect-fit replacement pane of window glass for me, and I think it was like 7 bucks! Being close to home makes it a better value than driving to Altoona or Johnstown anyway.

First, let me point out that this is not a true 'True Value' store. So for them to put the generic…read more'True Value' picture for this store does not do it justice. In actuality, this is a catch all store. Leaning more towards a grocery store than anything else. Think Walmart before it became the Walmart you know today. I can remember making trips here with my family when I was younger. What I also remember is that this was one of the few places at that time that you could find the white and black labeled generic brand. You know the brand, the one that somehow tasted way better than the name brand, but you didn't want to admit that you had in your cupboards. The brand that you yearn for now. Sorry to tell you this, but they do not carry that anymore as I discovered that on my recent visit. If groceries are not your thing, I would say still give this store a chance. They have everything that you might want for hunting purposes. Clothing, although sparse, is also available. Hardware items (not as many as that picture would mislead you to believe). Gardening supplies. Like I said, a little bit of everything, a catch all store.

Item not on paper copy so Clerk 1 asks if I remember price. I said $10.99. He says I think it's actually $15.99 and you're just saying $10.99. Ok, so someone should go check the price. Neither clerk went to get price so I went back to check. It was actually $10.39. Told clerk 1 it was $10.39 and he rang it up. First, I didn't appreciate being called a liar and second, one of those two clerks should have checked the price, not me.
