The little brother of the Ramstein Commissary, and the hidden gem and central hub of those working on Pulaski, Vogelweh and Kapaun.
Situated on base before the exit, the Vogelweh commissary carries most everything you will need to get your weekly shopping done. With a full sandwich bar for lunch options, as well as fruit and meat plates, it's a convenient way to avoid having to go to Ramstein.
Service is average. Nobody is overly friendly nor are they rude. This commissary also houses a coupon corner near the entrance, three sizes of carts and bagging service. In addition they also have eight self check-out scanners that are never all working, and are open early for customers. This place is great for getting in-and-out for milk and eggs. The onions and peppers are always spoiled, the bananas are always green and for some reason the chicken bunkers are are always on the fritz.
I would say it's paramount to familiarize yourself with Vogelweh's commissary on the basis that Ramstein's does close now and then, and with a quieter and smaller space, you'll find yourself less bothered by people and free to shop in peace.
