Just left their office with our 19-year-old dog after 3 days of hospitalization. When she first arrived, our intention was to euthanize her because of multiple medical issues and hoping to spare her any more distress and suffering. My husband suggested it was time to let her go, but the doctor said they weren't going in that direction. We had 2 updates on Saturday. The doctor said they give one update daily. We did not get an update Sunday and we were worried sick. The vet said I told the tech I didn't need an update Sunday. WHAT???? I NEVER said that. Unfortunately no one can reach them on the weekends as they are only open one Saturday a month. The doctor was sarcastic and rude, and implied I was lying. While in the exam room with a heated discussion with us and the vet, her HUSBAND (not a medical professional) inserted himself in the discussion. He stayed at the open slot trying to intimidate us, so I moved in front of him. He said he owned the building, and the doctor stated he was there to defend her. FROM WHAT???? I was instructed to leave and could pay my bill $585) OUTSIDE. I said I wanted to review the bill before paying, which is my right to ask. D. Foster sarcastically asked if we thought our dog was not seen on Sunday and that they're there ALL DAY, and did I think they wouldn't see her Sunday. I told her that's what they're paid to do but since we didn't get an update, how were we supposed to know. She (Dr.Foster) said I received 2 updates Saturday, but the reason is because we asked about a stroke during the morning update that did not include her opinion on that, thus the 2 updates Saturday. Dr. Foster implied that caring for the pets on a weekend was time consuming. Again, what is she paid to do?? We will never use this clinic again. Also, our dog is improved, but can take one step before falling. There isn't enough improvement to warrant the amount paid or lack of communication. It's a horrible situation for our beloved pet. read more
