Sweet Spots: Every Girls Magical Princess experience in Farmington Hills, MI:…read moreI cannot express how impressed I was with the Sweet Spots that is located at 14 Mile and Middlebelt in Farmington Hills, Michigan. I had a play date for my granddaughters and their friends--6 girls, in total. I was so happy it turned out so great. I had so much fun watching how much fun the girls were having. It truly was a hit!! I gladly give them a 5-star review. https://www.sweetspots.biz/ ----------------- Planning the playdate: It started with Pauline, who is the owner, who couldn't have been more pleasant to work with. We planned this three months in advance. My granddaughters got to pick which princesses they wanted prior to the party. First Impression "WOW": I was shocked when we arrived to see that there was a big chalkboard on an easel in front of the store that said."Today Only Sally and Molly Play date" Wow!! Ice Cream Parlor (Hersheys): When we walked into the store, the Ice Cream parlor, it was set up with several different tables and chairs that were beautifully decorated with bowls of candy on each table. Some tables had different games on them. She even had a Ms Pac man video game. I paid extra to have fresh cotton candy, popcorn and lemonade for the girls. I love cotton candy and it was so good. 3 Princesses: There were three princesses dressed up as Belle, Rapunzel and Alice in Wonderland. These princesses kept the party going. They made sure to keep all the girls engaged throughout our time there. Princess Diva Land: At the back of the ice cream parlor was the entrance to "Princess/Diva Land". There was one room that had racks of every kind of princess dress you could dream of. There were also shoes, crowns, gloves and jewelry that each of the girls got to pick out. Some of the girls changed outfits three times while we were there. The princesses helped them get dressed. Then the princesses put makeup on them, fixed their hair and did their nails. Then the girls put on a fashion show for the parents where they were introduced, by name, as they walked down a runway in their princess dresses. Games Played inside: The princesses had one game planned after another. They played tug of war, twister, who could pick up the most fake money, parachute, limbo, dance freeze. Some of the girls wanted to sing karaoke. It was so adorable. They had an air hockey game which the kids loved. They played a "spin the wheel" game where the girls each won a prize. General Atmosphere: In the background was a continuous Disney movie sound track and movies playing on the big screen tv that contributed to making you feel like you were in dreamland. Games played outside: Then they went outside, in front of the store, and the princesses spray painted their hair. Pizza and Ice Cream: We went back into the ice cream parlor section. Pauline ordered pizza and salad from Hungry Howies (Pauline was able to get me a big discount). So all the girls and the parents had pizza. Then everyone was able to get a cup of ice cream with whatever toppings they wanted (parents included). General Party information: The party started at 1 pm and ended around 4 pm on a Saturday. All the parents were welcome to stay the whole time and we all took many pictures. I cannot express enough how wonderful it was to have the princesses there to help out. All the kids had such a good time. All of this at a very reasonable price. I also made sure to give each of the princesses a tip. It was a wonderful experience that the girls will remember for a lifetime. Best Grandma of the day: What a fantastic experience. I made my granddaughters very very happy and won the best grandma of the day award. Special Thanks to Pauline: Thank YOU Pauline for making this a day to remember. You are the BEST!!

Thank you Iva and Affairs to Remember. We looked around at a couple other places before gong to…read moreIva. I didn't like how other places didn't really seem to give us their input. They just kept saying everything we said was perfect and would look good. Iva was the first one to say that our ideas would not look good in the big picture. If you are planning a wedding or any event you understand it is hard to think what everything is going to look like when it comes together, especially when you have multiple vendors. Iva was able to take our pictures and our ideas and bring them to life. We left Affairs to Remember so happy and with a sense of relief that everything would look exactly how we wanted it. side note: Iva took it upon herself to contact other vendors and set up times to ensure that everything would be done in plenty of time.

I looked forward to a great experience and was met with the complete opposite. My event planner…read moreattempted, for 3 whole days, to place an order to reserve chairs for my event but every time she was told an invoice would be sent over, it was not...until the third day. On the third day, she finally received an invoice and paid immediately. A week later, my event planner reached out to retrieve details for the pick up, and was told she could not retrieve the chairs because she never signed the contract (a contract that was never sent). While my event planner was trying to remedy the situation over the phone with the owner (Iva), I listened to Iva be extremely rude and dismissive even while my event planner was going out of her way to be understanding of a mistake that had nothing to do with her. To add insult to injury, the owner repeatedly made racist remarks including "this is why I never do work with your type of people," and cancelled our rental order. When we requested a refund, we were told it would be mailed, though the original invoice was paid online. Eventually, we were told we could come pick up the check instead. Once my event planner picked up the check and returned to her car, she realized it was short $10. Instead of the owner simply writing a new check for the correct amount, she told my event planner that they were now closed (which they weren't). My event planner stated she'd be back tomorrow when they open to retrieve the new check, and the owner stated "well I'll be here with my gun when you come back." Are you serious? My event planner is reputable, experienced, and conducted herself in the highest regard, and was met with rude, racist, reprehensible behavior from a "business owner." 10/10 would not recommend.
