What's that?
...
I can't hear you!
...
Oh, a game?
...
Okay, so the first one to make it to the bar without getting their ass pinched wins?
...
You're on!

So, Comme is several things. A bar which is one of Melbourne's best meat markets on a Friday night, a restaurant which is lovely though pricey for what you get, and an event space.
I've heard delightful things about the event space - apparently gorgeous for weddings and whatnot.
The bar is everything it sounds like. If you're looking for a drink and someone to take home after work on a Friday, don't mind yelling at everyone and being pushed up against strangers, then it's great. As far as bars go, it's got a great menu, drinks are fairly standard prices, it's a nice setting and the staff are friendly.
The restaurant element is fairly small given the size of the place but that is easily rectified with a reservation. The rather intriguing part is the dishes which seem really reasonably priced (around the $20 mark) until you're informed they're tapas-sized and you need to get many for the table. It's definitely not bad, but it's also not rave-about-for-months-afterwards great.
So there you have it. Comme.
Oh, and Comme is pronounced like the 'com' in 'communist', not "kommie" like I've heard. Weirdos. read more
