This Archive is proof of that verve, panache, and dedication to gaining real democracy against fierce odds. I could have stayed all day, working my way around the books and posters and artifacts gathered over the years that activist and artist Antonio Kadima has been pushing for freedom and democracy in the streets of Santiago. That the people were rising again, across Chile, while I was there made this visit to the Archive particularly high impact. Truly a terrific experience, highly recommended.

I found this museum by mistake. This museum offers 40 art murals that were creates by 70 artists,…read morelocals and internationals. It's about 4,000 m2 of art. The walls where the murals were painted are the residential walls of apartment projects. All murals are maintained in excellent conditions, also the fact this museum is located in San Miguel, a neighborhood that is not a "turtists"center is even more interesting to visit. You will be amazed by the power these walls make you feel. When you are in front of them seeing them with your own eyes you understand how important is to promote art in low income neighborhoods, this museum is a jewel hidden in SanMiguel and I strongly recommend you as a tourist and locals to visit them and appreciate this hard work. I am so happy I made this review and listed in Yelp "Museo A Cielo Abierto". Give the empty walls to artists and communities so they express dreams, their POV. Art makes neighborhoods beautiful, helps local economy. Better hrs to go and visit Morning, afternoons. Avoid going at night. Also the murals have public lighting at night, but for safety reasons better go in daylight.

I visited many times on a recent trip as they had a really interesting film festival on and some interesting exhibits that merited a second look. It is free to get in and although some exhibits charge an entrance fee there are certain times that you can still get in free (before 12 when I was there) and there are a range of films that are free entry alongside those that aren't. While I was there the range of international, independent films was very impressive. I really liked the water features, the quotes on the wall and art work all around the building. The shops are not the cheapest but full of beautiful things that are excellent quality and locally made so worth the price. And there was even a shops where you could get your own design 3d printed. Definitely worth a visit.
