Went here recently and by far the best customer service I was ever offered at a LCS. I chatted with the owner, he offered to re-order some comics I missed out on AND they constantly helped me find what I was looking for. I left with 20 books and a comic box with a big smile on my face knowing I was treated with upmost gratitude and finding the missing issues I needed at a great price! Nice enough looking store but no prices on back issues. Not worth shopping if I have to ask them price on each item and they look it up on eBay. Too bad because I could spend but not wasting my time. Edit: I appreciate the response from the owner and that's their call. Personally I'm not wasting time pulling up books just to wait while they price off eBay. Second and last visit there. read more

I don't have enough words on how welcoming this place is. My son goes through a comic craze every so often. We go here not knowing anything about what comic or where to start. The owner is welcoming, asks my son questions, helps him pick something he would like, understands the rating, never pushes books... I would recommend this place to any avid comic book reader or newbies like us. read more

Organized, but ridiculously overpriced. Only place I have ever seen who charge extra for B covers. Seriously?? Narcissistic and rude staff. They get mad if you support other comic stores in the area and don't shop exclusively with them. The moment you leave, they'll talk negatively about you. Shop elsewhere... read more

This was my first visit to this shop and I absolutely was blown away, they have a great selection and had exactly what I was looking for. The lady behind the counter (didn't catch her name) was very helpful and gave me some great suggestions on other things I might like. LOVE this comic store! I don't even live anywhere near Palm Dessert, but I was looking for a specific variant cover for a new comic and found them on Instagram. I messaged the owner, who got right back to me. She pulled the books I wanted, communicated with me consistently and shipped them to me quick. This place is a rare gym in the desert. They have a great selection and the owner is well versed and even has stickers on her favorite picks. She also has a nice selection of girl centric comics. My daughter loves strong female characters, so this is a big plus. The prices are really reasonable except on this super awesome Willy Wonka signed pic. I totally understand why though because its an amazing piece. Totally stop by this place!! read more

New favorite comic shop in the desert. So well stocked, they have all the major titles, and a dope indie selection. I went in to pick up the new Doom Patrol and found it no problem. The owner Chick is also great, very knowledgeable and friendly. Don't skip over Chick's Picks either! They aren't just for the ladies, these are titles Chick thinks deserve extra attention and include great stuff like Moon Knight. I will definitely be back read more

Widest variety of comics, toys, sports, and collectibles. They have SIDESHOW TOYS!!!! I love this place. The set up of the store, the vibe, and the staff are all A+++. Not sure how many comic book stores are left in the Valley but this one doesn't disappoint! Owner's are super friendly and they've got comic books and toys plus collectibles on display...A little small and hidden off some obscure street in Palm Desert but well worth the visit if you're in the area. read more

I love this comic book shop. I currently live in the Los Angeles area but whenever I come to visit, this one of my first stops. They have all the comics and variants I can't find in LA, at reasonable prices. If you are serious about your comics this is the store for you. The owners are wonderful people as well, very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. You won't be disappointed. read more

Founders Chicks & Jovel created this amazing store and built its reputation, customer base, and connections to the community. They sold in 2024 to current owners Amy & Joe, who have expanded the offerings and given the place a fun glow-up. It's also well lit since natural light is coming in through the huge doors and windows from the entrance accessibility on the street. All the different book sections are highlighted and well represented from Anime, Manga, Sci Fi, Young Readers, Novels, Magazines to name a few. Their children's sections is also very welcoming. They have the stage and little chairs for the little ones. This Barnes & Noble location carries everything from books, art, toys, DVDs, magazines and some collectible items. You can definitely find most of the books you're looking for at this location. This is a great place for avid readers like us. We found some cool and interesting books at this location that's hard to find.

This place is a mess -- disorganized, dirty, and apparently comfortable giving space to vendors who…read moreopenly insult customers. The entire interaction started after I paid a vendor through Zelle, and despite the payment clearly being sent successfully, he claimed he never received it. When I questioned it, because it genuinely felt like he was trying to keep the item and the money, he responded by calling me a "queen" in a mocking, derogatory way. The fact that this kind of behavior is tolerated says everything about the environment they allow there. There are far better vintage shops that are professional, organized, and don't tolerate disrespectful or hateful behavior. Spend your money elsewhere.

This place is awesome!! It has different varieties of comics, toys, and collectibles. The owners and staff make you feel like family, and they want to know what you read and if they don't have it they'll try their hardest to get whatever you like in their store. This place is absolutely amazing! This was the first comic book shop I've ever been to and I'm glad I picked this one because I was not disappointed! They have tons of awesome comics, including the walking dead, and just a couple days ago I called in to see if they had the 2nd issue of a comic I just bought and they immediately ordered it! The people who work there are also super nice and helpful, I will definitely be going back... A lot! read more

The people who run this store are so awesome! They are very personable and recommend very good titles. The store is well stocked and has tons of new and old comics. I will definitely coming back. They also bargained with me on a copy of The New Mutants #87! And as a Cable fan, well, they have no idea how happy they made me. Seriously, stop by, you won't be disappointed. read more

I was the tallest guy in the group of friends where we bought 4 pops great store didn't know it existed until we walked even more through Circle K. The owner is nice and has a lot of variety in the store. read more
