This place is a good value. Nothing fancy. Quite dated. But the proprietor was friendly and the room was comfortable.

Pleasantly surprised!…read more For a Best Western this was a very nice experience. The last BW we stayed in was in Illinois and it was unexplainably humid inside with a terrible moldy smell so I didn't have high expectations, but this one was very comfortable. Our room was clean and bright, the air was cool and dry, no smell, huge TV, abundance of towels, across the street from a gas station, Target, a few restaurants so the location was convenient... My favorite thing was the complimentary breakfast! There was actually quite a large variety of food and beverage options, and I cannot rave enough about the woman working in there. She was constantly in and out clearing dishes, keeping the food stocked and covered, wiping up every little crumb, and making conversation with the visitors, and asking if there was anything we needed that wasn't already out, etc. she was so friendly and helpful! I don't know if/when I'll ever be in Fergus Falls again but if I am, I'd come back here. My only complaint is that of all the cable channels, somehow Food Network was missing? But we settled for HGTV.

We didn't try the pool but it looked wonderful & always had lots of people in it. Our only complaint is that the carpets in the hallways are a super weird design that looks like something is leaking; clearly it's the design, but it's really off-putting.

Not perfect, but worth it -- especially if you've got a cat…read moreOkay, this isn't a luxury hotel, and it definitely has its quirks -- but let's be real, for the price, it covers a couple of things no one else around here does. First off, it's pet friendly -- and actually pet friendly, even if you're traveling with a cat. They didn't even ask for a refundable deposit, which is almost unheard of these days. So if you're road-tripping with your furry buddy, this place is a safe bet. Now, yeah, I could talk about the downsides -- and sure, there are some. Everything in the room is a little loud: the toilet lid, the bathroom fan, the door closer, even how the toilet flushes. It's all a bit clunky. The mattresses are on the soft side, which usually messes up my back -- but surprisingly, I slept just fine. But honestly, I get it. Fixing those things would cost them a lot, and at this price point, they're making practical choices. The staff was genuinely great -- super helpful and even switched our room when we realized we were next to the laundry room (don't worry, it's not loud at night -- they don't run it then). There's free parking, morning coffee, and -- no joke -- some of the best apples I've ever had in a hotel. Don't be scared off by this place. It's not fancy, but it's good. Solid choice, especially if you're traveling with pets.

Although the room is clean, it smells like someone dumped a pound of scented carpet deodorant on the floor. It's sickeningly sweet. I am on the ground floor and have only gauze curtains, with no way of having anything more light blocking (that means anyone outside could easily look in). The lack of microwave and fridge did get me a price break, but this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I'm setting an early alarm so I can get the fuck out of here.

This has been the most disappointing and…read moredisgusting and very expensive experience I've ever had for the most outrageous price and worst service EVER! We purchased 2 rooms, one a jacuzzi hot tub room, and one standard room on 6/14/24 - 6/16/24. Totaling about $1800, not including any food or drinks we purchased. The night we checked in seemed OK at first. As the night went on, it just started going downhill. First, they did not have the staff on duty to properly service guests. The staff that was on duty were not timely and very knowledgeable when asked questions about the property and area. The night we checked in, later, after we had settled in and around bedtime, I was preparing to take a jacuzzi, I had filled it up and had just sat down, and I looked back to put my arms up on the side and I found an unusually large amount of pubic hair and soap scum on the ledge of the hot tub (see pictures). I went to the front desk to tell them what I had found and the overnight staff told me that they could give me cleaner and some rags! To my dismay, I was completely disgusted and said I want to file a complaint and I would like a well as deserved to be given a discount of compensated a room and she told me that I would need to talk to the manager in the morning. I obviously returned in the morning and I was told by the manager on duty told me that the night staff offered to clean it and I refused! I replied "no such thing was offered and I was told that she would give me cleaner and rags and to clean it myself" (which of course I most certainly did) and that they could give me bonus points to use at another time! And the food! Terrible! Service! Inexcusable and extremely rude as I was called a B!*$h for asking why our food was taking an hour and 20 mins. I will NEVER EVER recommend this place nor will I EVER stay there! This is bad, bad custmer service, bad management, and plain disgusting. And I'm a Professional Chef who has served customers my entire life! The ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE VIEW!
