    Mold on ceiling in bathroom

Would not recommend staying here. From the moment we walked in it was dirty everywhere. There was mold on the ceiling, stains on the curtains, hadn't been vacuumed, dirty microwave, water leaks on the ceiling, a large crack in the door that you could see out to the hallway. I could go on and on. The people at the front desk were polite when asking for a refund. Save yourself the time and book elsewhere.

Where is the plug - how did it pass electrical inspection. This was in lobby's bathroom -poor. Since in construction business poor

I stay at a lot of hotels. This would rate below average bath tub stooped up. The beds were clean . Breakfast bar lady was not o top of things . It was just a hotel room just passing through needed for the night I would not stay here. Two things the staff did was I poor taste. Talk nasty to a customer in front of me and gave us the wrong key twice.

Nice hotel, a little pricey with hillbilly staff. Room was comfy, but the temperature uncontrollable.

If you are looking for a clean, quiet hotel you will be happy here…read more The entire hotel was very clean: The lobby, the hallway, elevator, fitness center, and breakfast area. My room was nicely arranged, and had plenty of electrical outlets and USB ports. The bathroom was bright and clean and the shower was wonderful. Breakfast was much better than average for a free breakfast. There weee options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free guests. The spinach and Swiss cheese quiches were excellent. Oatmilk was available as well. The breakfast attendant was keeping everything clean, and all the food was hot and fresh. I will definitely plan on staying here the next time I am traveling or working in this area. I

The check-in employee was very nice and explained the hotel offerings. The room numbering made me do a double take because, well, just look at the picture. My room was on the backside of the hotel next to the trampoline park. I didn't get a good night's sleep since they were playing loud music throughout the night. If you stay here, ask for a room that is on the front of the hotel since I think that would be much more quieter. I booked my reservation on Hotels.com and redeemed one of my reward nights and paid less than $5 in tax and fees to say here for the night. Upon check-in I provided my credit card for any incidentals. Upon check-out I was told I was good to go since I've already prepaid. I get home and look at my credit card statement to see I was charged a full night instead of the incidental charge. I called the hotel and was told a new employee made a mistake and would reverse the charge. That's fine, mistakes happen but it's now been a month and the charge still hasn't been reversed. 2 stars because of loudness and poor customer service regarding my credit card statement.

When I drove in to this hotel, I found that one of the best things for a traveler, about this…read morehotel, was that it has access to Slim Chickens and Starbucks within walking distance. Holiday Inn Express and the Baymont Inn, on either side do not have this. Well, the Holiday Inn Express does have Frisch's. The Baymont Inn has no restaurants close to it. I also found that it was tough to find an entrance upon driving in from a got dang u turn because London, KY apparently forgot to make a turn lane to be able to access the entry for this hotel (bad urban planning). There was a Starbucks planted right in front of it and the signage was hard to follow. When I checked in, I was directed to my room which was a wheelchair accessible one. I did ask for a king bed room though. I wanted to use the coffee machine, but found the filter too small and so I had to go to the front desk and show the receptionist how it would fall off. The cookies near the entrance (I think they are set out for guests at around 4 p.m. everyday) are good and it is great that they have a sign stating to use the tongs, but no napkins. How much do you think little kids would touch the tongs after picking up the cookie out of the box? This was fixed when I inquired about napkins. I was eating the cookie on Kleenex! Lol. I then asked for tea because a Best Western I stayed at before had a variety of teas. The only issue? No decaf tea (Chamomile, Peppermint, etc.). Still a good variety, they have many different brands of black tea and even green tea with pomegranate. I am hoping to try it tomorrow. The bathroom is kind of gross, the shower walls are browning and it looks like an area in a slaughterhouse where one could shower a bovine of sorts. O_o. I am probably putting down towels tomorrow on the tile and taking my shower, stepping on them (I ended up doing this for my stay). All in all, I can see why the reviews are stating that this hotel is not quite there. It can become a little bit more with some bit of updating. I am just glad that my employer is paying for it. $100 for something like a Motel 6 or Super 8 type quality.... The cable package they had was great, Travel channel and History channel. I have shows on those two channels that come on on certain days that I cannot usually watch at home because of antenna t.v. and so it is nice if I have access to these channels while on business. For international guests, they have Willow, a cricket (sports) channel. Their pen is really nice. Some hotels have done away with the whole free pen and note pad in the rooms. I am glad this hotel is still keeping that tradition and that too, a Choice Hotel that bought out a Radisson hotel. The pen actually has Country Inn & Suites by Radisson. How cool is that? I added that to my hotel pen collection. 7/29 Had the breakfast and it was just okay. It definitely was better than hotels, which I have been to, that only have packaged baked goods. The hot food was biscuits and gravy (giving somewhat of the country vibe). Against Holiday Inn in the area, the Holiday Inn offers biscuits and gravy and sausage links as well along with omelets. Maybe they could do what Europe hotels do and put out cold cut ham slices? That would be unique. No hotels in KY, from the ones I have been to, has done that. Wednesday 7/30 WELL I WAS TAKEN BY SURPRISE! Breakfast today: Omelet with ham cubes, some sort of green vegetable garnish and cheese, French toast sticks, and sausage links. So apparently, this hotel just rotates their breakfast, not what I had initially thought. I thought I would be having biscuit and gravy for my three day stay. Definitely bumps this place up a star. I wonder what this place is going to serve tomorrow. Stay tuned! Thursday 7/31 Breakfast today: Scrambled eggs (egg beater yellow kind), sausage links, and hash rounds (more like hash polygons). The only suggestion I would make with the breakfast rotation is to maybe switch out sausage with bacon. Maybe they do that on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday? I do not know. Having the same breakfast meat twice is kind of redundant.

However, the area was questionable. The hotel staff were friendly and polite. The hotel room was average in cleanliness for this quality of hotel. They were pet friendly but the pet area was dark and kind of sketchy. The breakfast was below average. I would stay here again but only if passing through and if it was for 1 night.

I don't remember much about my stay there, which is a good thing - for being next to the highway,…read moreBaymont is quiet. They have both indoor and outdoor rooms here - indoor being second floor. Since I got there on a Sunday night, they had plenty to spare and were happy to put me upstairs. A nice breakfast layout to send you off in the morning, even by Wyndham standards. A little confusing to get to (have to U-turn onto 192 West, and then stay all the way to the left when you enter despite a lack of signs), but that's about the only flaw I can point to.

The HOTEL IS ACTUALLY IN A MOTEL CONFIGURATION (unless Wyndhams are now motels instead of hotels)…read more Big difference. For those that are not familiar, motels have rooms facing the outside and hotels have rooms within a structure. I remember coming to this end of London, KY on my last business trip here and I am back in this location for business (well actually for business in another city). When I had first made a reservation for yesterday night and check out today, they had stated I would get a 1st floor room. This did not happen. Then again, it is usually first come, first serve and so they were "short" on housekeeping staff. The room 223 is one of the unfortunate ones because even though it has a king bed, it is near the freeway and that means one can hear almost everything. Check in was okay; however, demanding. The check in (gal) in this case will ask last name, then for ID, and then for any discount voucher. Usually, this is completed the next day upon check out. I guess this hotel bills the stay before one spends the night. The room was not bad. One issue I found was that there is only one trashcan for everything, both the living area and the bathroom. The coffee machine cups do not have any hot sleeves (I do not know what one calls them). So if you make a cup of coffee, be careful that you do not burn your hand. I found that the elevator (thank you..some motels still do not have elevators when they are two story) has an expired inspection certificate. The layout of the room made it seem like it was a converted Red Roof Inn. Other than the one I stayed at in in Cincinnati, I can state that I have stayed at a Baymont Inn! The breakfast was sausage links, biscuits and gravy, hash squares, and other baked items. No fruit! Not even a fruit cup! Factors not affecting the hotel, but London as a city. Whomever urban planned the businesses in the area, where this is located, clearly did not take into account how one is supposed to get here. If one is coming from Lexington, they will have to come off the freeway, make a u-turn and turn right on a street that will lead up to it. This is not joined with the parking lot of Holiday Inn Express next door (which I find to be an inconvenience). Why do they lay things out like this in Kentucky? Edit: I noticed that this place does something unique. Upon check in they will give some FIRE (not literally, kind of a Gen Z term for "really good") Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. Upon checkout, they will give a water bottle from who knows what brand (found out it was Great Value, Walmart) with your last name on it and a room number on the lid (just kidding, it probably does have the brand label under their label with your last name on it). I noticed they have a fine tune temperature knob in the shower. You have a knob that turns on the water, but there is an attachment that allows one to make the water slightly warmer or colder instead of immediate hot and cold.
