So I stayed here the other night and the bed was very comfortable. The spa tub was very nice however. I stepped on a nail those sticking up through the floor the tub tile that was cracked on the other side. and we had to use a fire stick TV to use any kind of TV and it only played Amazon. and only thing I can get to work with SpongeBob nothing else would play or anything. And there were homeless people all over the place. And when I checked out, the lady behind the desk told me that she thought it got closed because it was under for maintenance with all the issues of having. read more

The manager at the front desk was rude. We booked a king because suite, the TV didn't work so switched rooms to a handicap room. TV did not work. Front desk came up and fixed it. The bathroom had mildew in it. The breakfast bar was never cleaned. Someone had put froorlooos in waffle batter. Was all over the counter. Nothing was wiped down. Had to ask for towels for the pool. Everything was very dirty. Will never stay again read more

This was a nightmare experience this stay. A full week ago I went through extensive pre preparation for my stay on August 13th even made reservations in advance with hotel employee Shawna, was quoted $116.00 for a midweek price, when I arrived there was no reservation and she admitted this was accidentally due to HER ERROR, yet didn't even follow up for me and my guest, we were charged an extra $50.00 dollars for our stay. The room originally assisgened to us (217) had a hole in the bathroom door and was more like a scene from a movie in a rundown area. The hot tub that was advertised as available was completely empty of water and clearly not in usable condition. The T.V. in the room was NOT available for any local channels as there was a connection problem. The bathroom had one bar of small soap to use at sink but nothing for the shower. This was a complete waste of money for this 1 star hotel. Not a pleasant experience at all. Respectfully, PaulMichael M. read more

Standards met and front desk very helpful. Room was tidy and towels stocked. Bed was comfortable probably a 8/10

Stayed three days, only because we were attending family functions nearby. Never again. The customer service here was atrocious. From the first interaction with the dismissive front desk clerk to being unable to locate any staff whatsoever at checkout to request a receipt; it was ridiculous. Requests to housekeeping for two extra towels and two additional hangers were ignored. Break service was abysmal: coffee pot empty, no muffins, four slices of wheat bread on display, no tongs for bread or eggs, spilled cereal under dispenser, etc. Kitchen attendant sitting in prep area looking at her cellphone instead of servicing area. We won't be back. read more

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. This was the ABSOLUTE worst experience I have ever had. We got in late at around midnight to check in. As soon as we go into our room we notice that it is disgustingly dirty. It had never been cleaned. Apparently there were no other rooms available so we had to wait for that room to be cleaned. After that, the room just felt disgusting. It smelled terribly of smoke despite being a smoke free room. Furniture was dusty, couch was uncomfortable, carpet is dirty, curtains are dirty, the corners are dusty, bathtub is stained, wallpaper was peeling and stained, some outlets don't work, I didn't have soap or toilet paper in my room. read more

If I could give no Star I would. We have always stayed here and have been pleased. We had reservations on 11/26/22 and walked out. The room smelled like mold, trash in can, bed was messy and goo on the wall. We spoke to Brittany front desk attendant and she looked at the room and stated she would stand up for our refund. When I called the manager today Jessica Reyes she was very rude she hung up on my husband. Said she refunded us 30% and there was nothing to discuss. This hotel was very dirty and disappointing. See pictures below. I have never been treated so poorly by management. I don't feel they care about the place anymore. read more

Hotel looks great on the inside when you step in, however my room was not clean I think the housekeeper was in a hurry when cleaning it. There was dog food on the floor by the wall there were candy wrappers on the floor between the bed and the wall, looked like someone splattered their drink all over the walls and on the lamp shade, there was a wet stain on the sofa and the carpet was coming away from the wall. You would think the manager would do a better job checking the cleanliness of the rooms after the housekeepers, they can do better. read more

They never did as they cannot come in my room if I'm not there, sadly I had several appointments that I could not change. He offered to let me receive 2nd night return and I change hotels but I was unable to do that because I was booked up and had no time to move. Handicap accessible is on 3 rd floor , only conference rooms on first floor, that's kinda scary for a handicapped person. But did not tell you that on reservation. Ice machine empty, iron broken . Customer service is terrible. The front meth head that checked me out gave me receipt. I called 3 days later because they charged my credit card for 2 more nights and then my debit card a 3rd night. I only noticed the charge on my checking account and not my credit card. I called my bank and they told me over $800 has been charged. I called the hotel Wednesday and the lady said you are still checked in I recognized her voice and told her you checked me and my family out Sunday. I said don't you remember me asking for a receipt (reimbursement from my job) and I gave you $2 for the candy my son grabbed off the shelf and you said don't worry he's a cutie and he can have it. She pretended not to remember realizing she messed up. The manager then gets on the phone and says you're still here which means no communication happened I tell him I checked out on Sunday. He says again I'm there I hang up call choice hotels, who I booked through originally, spoke with a rep and they called the hotel. The lady got back on the phone and said they refunded me already, I said yea maybe because they realized that they messed up in the first place. Called the hotel back and thesame lady answered and no introduction she says we refunded you already loud and rudely. I said no yall messed up and realized it so you refunded me. Took over 3 hours to get a refund and talking to meth heads thats are incompetent. Save yourself and your family the hassle this particular hotel employees are very rude and unhelpful. I called after 3 and got the lady that checked us in. She remember who I was and my family. She described both of my children to a T. Flores is her name and she apologized to me for her coworkers and the manager and reassured me that an adjust was made and was able to email me the adjustments. The only reason this hotel got a 1 star is because Flores helped me and was very kind. read more

Id leave no stars if I could. We wouldn't stay there. A friend of our stayed the same night in a different room, she showed us pictures of her room and it looked like a crime scene. If I had the pic to post I would. Note: This is an old review that was sitting in my drafts. I'm still posting it but recommend you check more recent reviews. Not off to a good start. I tried to check in at 11:30am today. Early, I know, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Parking lot wasn't full so I thought I had a chance. When I asked the clerk, she didn't even check a computer or anything. She just said "No you cannot. People are just now checking out. You probably won't be able to check in until 2pm. Sorry." I could see if they were sold out, or it was a busy weekend, or a popular brand, or if she even looked at the computer but nope. My family picked this particular place to stay because we have stayed here in the past and had good experiences. HOWEVER, this time was FAR from good. We rented 2 rooms and this is what we encountered. The doors to the rooms didn't close unless you grabbed the door and yanked them closed hard. Our first room: The bathroom was very dirty. No washcloths, 1 bath towel for a room that should sleep 4 people. The entry light didn't work at all. Curtains didn't close. Fridge didn't work, TV looked like if you touched it a great crash would occur. Our 2nd room: The toilet had a seat that moved when you sat on it. dirty pillows. The alarm clock was broken. The desk chair sank if you sat on it. The curtains didn't close and were even falling off the window. Beyond the 2 issues with the rooms the whole time we were there (a week) the public restroom in the lobby was NEVER cleaned, Walking down the interior hallway you could smell cigarette or cigar smoke as if someone had smoked in the building/rooms (last I knew ALL MOTELS are smoke free now). Then there were the OSHA violations that my husband and I both saw (i.e. elevator issues, mold to just name 2) Definitely do not recommend to ANYONE if you value your health and safety read more

Front counter person seemed annoyed at my arrival. The pool was closed. The room is dirty and worn. Never again.

The "Comfort" is a misnomer. The bed was a bag of doorknobs, it was super loud, and the room seemed very run down. Not recommended.

This place seems like a junkies paradise. Room smelled of old cigarettes and mold. There were smears of sticky looking substance on the walls next to the bath tub, found a needle cap in a drawer along with a dirty latex glove and other trash. The smoke detectors had been removed in all rooms and stored in the drawers. I wish I had taken photos. There was also dirty sheets balled up in the corner of the room by the bed. Me and my gf tried to ignore it with going in the jacuzzi. The problem with the jacuzzi was that there were no lights around other than the bed lamps and even with them on it was rather depressing fro lighting. And the elevator was slow and smelled strongly of vomit. With all the covid stuff going on this place really should be doing better with its cleanliness. read more

I get that it's running with COVID rules in mind but the pool and sauna are not available to use. There is no hot food for breakfast. Good businesses wanting to get people in the door would fix these issues immediately. For $150 a night without these options readily available I will not be back. Live and learn for sure. It gets one star for having a decent bed, and one star for everything technically working. This room, rm 214, was very very run down. Just bad. The toilet seat was loose, things were stained, ripped, falling apart or filthy. The A/C was probably as old as I am (40). The filter, though not full or clogged, should be spotless in the pandemic era. The inside of the A/C was nasty looking and the smell when I turned it on was hard to ignore. Nothing nasty, just a very musty odor. All of the furniture needs to be replaced to represent the standard Choice Hotels expects. And here's the kicker, I'm writing this review from a 'Primere' hotel not far away for $20 more per night. $74 vs $94 and what a world of difference. Go down the road a few miles and stay in a better place than this one. I felt like I should have only paid $39 for a random motel on the highway the way this room was. At least then it would have been almost excusable. I will say this much for sure.....I will never ever stay here again no matter what. read more

Upon check in one bed was just a box springs and a mattress on the floor, this bed had a stain on the sheets as well. The other bed had a cigarette hole in it's sheets. The chair in the room had a broken leg and someone had just propped it up in the space it broke off of, when my child sat in the chair the broken leg collapsed and he fell on the floor. The worst was the drug activity in the lobby, when we went to dinner there were 2 Meth Heads in the lobby one of which was digging at an open wound in with a pen, and the other just tweaking. We checked out early due to the condition of the room, and the drug activity in the lobby did not feel like a safe environment, I cannot recommend enough not to stay here, and now they are keeping the money for the second night. read more

The big stair case looks grand, but things quickly go down from there. At check in the front desk guy is abrupt. We waved your pet fee. Well that statement was unnecessary because he's a service dog to begin with. I immediately go park my car in one of the handicapped stalls and bring my dog out to the dog area. A minute or so we go to the side door or at least try to. Can't get in. This is within the first five minutes. So their key card machine is outdated. We had to get 3 sets of keys cards just in one night within 4 hours. A few hours later a lady and her husband had stayed there several nights said they had to get there's rekeyed daily, sometimes twice. My question is why is this machine still in existence when it makes the employees do extra work, inconvenience the customers and feel insecure about trusting the reliability, and the chain's credibility. In our room, our fridge though on, never got real cold only at the very top in the freezer. In the room when you try to slide the closet door shut, it turns the lights off. Why, you ask? Cause someone built the light switch in the way of the slider or vice versa. Doh! The ice machine here on the second floor was out of order so I went to the 1st floor as noted and all that slowly spit out was about 1/2 cup til it was completely empty. Our desk chair is dangerous because it doesn't have a correct counterbalance. It tips back so far when you don't need or want it too you can call as you get dumped out. I went to the pool area. The hot tub was ok. I only stayed in the area for less than a half hour. I left prematurely with the feeling that even though I was all alone in the entire room I felt I was being totally creepily watched that I just couldn't shake. I didn't feel safe. I even turned the sauna on and went in for a few minutes but it never got hot enough to use even tho I let it warm for at least 15 minutes on high before going in. I'm pretty sure I could have touched the coals and not gotten burnt. The grout in the hot tub looked black like it hadn't been cleaned forever. The shower floor was questionable and I was squeamish. It was a very dark area and maybe lighting may have helped so you can see what you're stepping in and out of. The men's bathroom there was also out of order. I tried to drink out of the water fountain near the elevator but neither one was working and were dirty, no out of order sign. The women's bathroom near the elevator in the lobby both ballasts were flickering. Some lady i spoke to in the elevator mentioned her room had flickering lights before I even mentioned the incident in the bathroom. Creepy spirits perhaps? This hotel gives a subdued almost depressing vibe. She also mentioned she was given a hard time checking in by the same guy yesterday. Then when she had a problem with her tv and cable not being hooked up in her room, the same guy came to her room to help her but was gruff and yelled at her with an attitud. She was an older woman, similar to my mom's age. This is not acceptable to me. What was also strange is they have a beautiful giant chandelier but it wasn't even turned on at night. I'm never coming back here. It needs a lot of repair to be up to par and upkeep . It shocks me this is even a Choice Hotel hotel. The night before we stayed at another Comfort Inn in the area and they totally rocked it. Im not gonna even mention where it is cause I want to keep that jem a secret and wish we had never left. It was so beautiful, peaceful, friendly and relaxing. Although most people were friendly, I feel Clackamas needs to get it together. read more

Comfort Suites Clackamas Oregon What are your expectations about resolution of a bad hotel experience? We recently spent 4 nights at a place...a recognized chain. Arrived to find a non typical, old, dirty property...that was being used as a sanctuary for the homeless. And don't get me wrong...that's fine with me, as I have delved into the plight of the homeless on a personal level at times. But not on vacation. And if the property was being used for this...some sort of notification to unsuspecting travelers should have been made. A truck was dropping off and picking up these people throughout the day. We observed some dumpster diving, taking their treasures into their rooms. Room had nasty carpet that was coming up, windows that opened with no screens, scarred up old furniture. No bottled water. And relying on who we were visiting for transportation and a busy schedule that didn't allow shopping for another hotel room, were kinda stuck after calling a place across the highway that had no vacancies. Fine...we accepted we were mainly just sleeping there. But I did contact corporate when we got home, sending pictures and explaining a variety of events and conditions as described. They were very nice...yet say all that was in their power was to refund one night (they chose the cheapest, of course, of the nights which had varying rates). I was told the property would be responsible for any other consideration. Considering the manager was a woman without good people skills that we heard cussing and carrying on at breakfast because she couldn't get the coffee made, and night clerk who called security because we complained about no bottled water....I didn't hold out much hope. And sure enough, they have not answered my queries. I realize that these are franchisees...so I get the position that the property is mostly responsible. But I think the corporate entity can do more than that. Just wondering what yall think. I think it's wrong that I paid an avg of $175/night to stay in what I'd always found to be a clean, consistent brand hotel, and instead paid that money to stay in a dirty, run down flophouse. Oh well....lesson learned. Website pictures don't often tell the story when you're booking a hotel room. Fortunately, the reason for the trip itself was a huge success...we saw wonderful sights...mainly our son and DIL....and we could have slept in a tent, and it would have been a successful trip. I just don't like getting profoundly ripped off. read more

My family and I have stayed at this hotel about 10yrs ago, and thought it was decent enough to stay there again. We just stayed there a few nights ago and it was HORRIBLE!!! It was dirty, wallpaper was peeling off the walls, our door didn't lock from the outside it was at 11pm that the front desk clerk came up to "try" to fix our door apparently he is front desk/maintenance. We had to ask for extra towels a few times because they didn't have enough sets in the bathroom for 2 people, the closet door was off it's track and fell and hit my 2 year old nephew in the head, there were a pair of someone's underwear left in the closet, there are junkies all over the parking lot and inside, the "maintenance guy" wasn't identified as maintenance he wore a T-Shirt and shorts with his little dog following behind him. When he came to fix our door he looked like a regular guest. We had gone out for dinner our second night there, the door finally locked from the outside. When we returned back, the latch on the door was hooked. We had to get a credit card or something to get the latch to unhook. Because there is no maintenance on at this time. The door frame came off. We were able to get in finally. When we checked out we asked for the General Manager AJAY BATH, the number on the card goes right back to the Hotel. Unable to speak to him. The hotel did refund us one nights stay, but we are going to try to get the second night too. As we were very uncomfortable staying there. This hotel HORRIBLE and I would NOT recommend staying here!! I stayed at this hotel as part of a seminar I was attending. The elevator trapped one man for 20 min. The next day it stopped at least 2 other times that I knew of. NEVER AGAIN! Let's start with reservations. I previously booked a six day stay through Expedia.com. I subsequently learned I could save $20 per day by booking directly through the hotel desk. I cancelled the EXPEDIA rip-off and booked 7 days via the friendly hotel desk person. The room was clean and comfortable at first. The breakfast was adequate, but very basic. The pastry was stale and the scrambled eggs cold. However, the biscuits and gravy were quite good. The waffle maker was broken on our first morning and never replaced or repaired in the next six days. We finally chose Denny's just across the freeway for a hot breakfast. Our room was on the second floor of this three story hotel. The ice makers were broken on two floors and never repaired during our 7-day stay, requiring all guests to walk to the lobby for ice. The machines appeared to have been out of order for quite a while. Electrical tape was wrapped around the end of one plug and looked like it had been there for a long time. The elevator was annoyingly slow for no apparent reason. Housekeeping was acceptable for only the first three days, then grew worse each day. Toiletries were not replaced. The floor was not vacuumed until specifically requested. On Sunday, the room was not made up until 2:00 PM and we had to request new sheets. When later returning to the room we found housekeeping had only replaced the towels and made the bed. The room had not been cleaned. The very full waste baskets had not been emptied in two days. I complained to the desk person three times one night about the noise from the room above us where a little league team gathered to romp and bounce for two hours. After my third call to the desk, the clerk sounded a little annoyed at me for complaining. The noise settled down about ten minutes later. Before checking out we found the bathroom was infested with tiny black bugs crawling over the floor and bathtub. One could imagine they were also crawling unseen throughout the carpet. YUK! I'm sure Motel 6 offers clean rooms at half the price. read more

We stayed for 1 night and I have to say the staff was very helpful. I had called twice before I got there to ask questions and I was greeted by an employee both times who seemed completely willing to answer the questions I had. Check in was a breeze and finding the room was even easier. When I walked in the room was clean and had a slight smell like a hospital. That can be good or bad. The bed were very firm but to me that's what's comfortable and the bed had a not saying there were firm pillows set in the back with softer pillows up front. I loved the combination considering that's how I do it at home. Now the negatives- I found different plastic silverware around the room. A knife under the desk and fork by the bed. Kind of grossed me out but the carpet is basically black nd if you drop something good luck finding it. I was searching for my items when I found other peoples silverware Haha. We had our toddler nd found out that the tubs aren't actually tubs. There is stopper for the drain and they don't hold one at the desk however they gave us a washcloth to plug the drain. Our daughter took a shower that night. The pool says it's heated but I nearly froze getting in and I don't mind a cold pool. I joked how it's a pool in a very heated room and so it's kind of not lie. The hot tub wasn't much warmer and one of the jets ended up leaving a pretty decent bruise. I tried for the sauna but after 20 minutes of attempting to heat the room I had to give up. It works but very slowly. I'd say it felt like a decent 75 degree day in there after 20 minutes but I certainly didn't sweat. There's the main entrance and 2 other keycard activated doors on each side. On one side the handle is completely broken making the door on the outside completely unusable. However it can push open from the inside. Breakfast was alright. They had blueberry or regular waffles. Scrambled "eggs" and thin pieces of Canadian bacon in water. They also had yogurt, granola, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, coffee, milk, and pastries. I rated 4/5 because there was nothing that would stop me from staying again in the future even though it wasn't a GREAT experience. read more
