The back of the door into the room

I booked 2 jointing rooms through Reservation Desk (never again). When I got to the hotel they said they don't have any joint rooms. They wouldn't give a refund, I had to walk over to another hotel. They had a jointing rooms so I stayed there for a week. I would not have stayed at Comfort Suites anyway. This is how their rooms looked

No rating is low enough to describe this experience. Avoid this place! The management shows no concern for the hotel or its guests. We booked a room for three days for family visiting town. Upon arrival, they were assigned a room with a broken lock and a door that appeared to have been forced open. When the door was shut, one could see into the hallway through a large crack. The carpet was heavily stained, the bathroom unclean, and a strong odor of marijuana permeated the floor. When they asked for another room, they were informed that the hotel was fully booked. Since it was late, they opted to stay the night and leave in the morning. Unable to secure their door, they slept in their clothes. At checkout, the hotel refused to refund the remaining two unused nights. They left, resolved never to return.

Wish, there was a no star, for this hotel.Checked in,which was great.Left went to dinner, etc, etc, with my family.Got back late,my GrandMothers funeral in the morning.Getting ready for bed.......Bugs,and more Bugs...I was laughed at,by the front desk!!!! In the middle of the night,I had no choice, but to leave. After a 5 hour drive, long, long day....Forced to find somewhere to sleep!! BEYOND WORDS!!!! Was,never offered, any other accommodations,NOTHING!! Just Laughed at!

Small jacuzzi. Comfy for 1. 2 will be tight

Sometimes trying something new does not pay off. Celebratinga special occasion, we booked the most expensive room available with jacuzzi fireplace kitchen. Get to the room, keys don't work. Go to the desk get more keys that don't work. The front desk clerk decided to come with me next time don't work. She goes down and literally brings back 10 keys. 3 work. Hmm something must be wrong with the door right? Think anybody came to look this over in the 3 nights we were there? We were locked out at least 4 more times. This pretty big room had an old worn out couch, a hole in the lamp shade and a small 32 inch TV. Can't even see it from the couch lol. Jacuzzi barely fit the 2 of us and we are not that big. Day 2 12/31. No housekeeping. I took the do not disturb off the door around 1245pm. Stopped at desk on way out at 2 and asked if they could clean the room. No problem I will let housekeeping know. Came back at 7pm to dirty room no towels n dirty jacuzzi on new years eve. Desk only has 2 sets of towels and will call when some are clean. No call no show. Day 3. 1/1. I dont use the do not disturb at all. Call the desk at 1245pm to let them know we are leaving n please clean the darn room. Same desk clerk as 12/31 so I ask why our room was not cleaned yesterday. She said I told her too late. Housekeeping was wrapping up. U didn't mention this yesterday when I came down at 2pm? Housekeeping is done by 2pm?? She says u have to let them know by 1pm if u have a do not disturb sign up in the morning or they put a note under the door saying they came by etc. No note under our door ma am?. No one mentioned you are not allowed to sleep in if you want your room cleaned. Cut it short. After that our room got half way cleaned on our last full day. Sheets were not changed because I lost a sock the night before and when I got under the sheets guess what I found? My sock. Jacuzzi wasn't cleaned. The same potato chip I dropped in the jacuzzi 2 days ago was still there. Check out day. I had requested a 1230pm check out as I always do with choice hotels. Why the housekeeping and her boss come knocking at 1205pm? I wanted to laugh in their face. Are u kidding? Now u want to show up? Check out the Comfort Inn in Romulus. They won't ruin ur getaway

Walking into the hotel is nice and modern. The hotel is clean and breakfast is nice with variety. The beds are comfortable but you can tell the hotel in older. The chairs, and furniture is worn as there is chips in some of it. The bathroom shower area could use some updates. They have a sign downstairs that says they are doing renovations and it looks like we got a room that are working on.

This was just the beginning of a horrible stay, we should've left after I Sanitized my face.

There is a laundry (one washer and dryer) but if you time it right, it's enough. The pool is nice, many young families used it in the time I was there, as did I once. The gym has the basics, dumbbells and a treadmill. My only issue is that the Peloton bike does not connect to the internet and they are unable to fix it they tell me, so it's as if it doesn't really exist. Part of me choosing them was that Peloton bike that ended up not working. There is daily breakfast which is above average, and 24 hour coffee and tea available; along with a small market and the occasional free cookies by the front desk. Parking isn't an issue, it's well placed, close to the highway, and there is an Italian restaurant within walking distance. I plan on staying there again the next time I'm in town.

One room had hair in the bed, and while clean sheets were provided, staff refused to assist with changing them. More concerning was a serious safety issue -- the door to one room did not properly lock and could be pushed open from the outside without a key. Another room door showed visible damage as if someone had tried to break in. This is completely unacceptable. When I reported this, I was told the hotel was full and nothing could be done. No relocation, no real attempt to fix the issue, and no compensation offered. To make matters worse, guests next door were extremely loud, and repeated calls to the front desk went unanswered. This stay was far below Hilton standards, especially when it comes to safety and customer service.

An EXPEN$IVE learning experience !!! the 1 star is for the only positives part of the experience because they had water pressure that was good, with hot water, breakfast was free... not a huge variety. (Scrambled eggs, sausage links, pre packaged oatmeal, cold cereal, waffle maker, toast and bagels) The pool and hot tub looked amazing just didn't have time. Heard it was heated. The flaws on this hotel... Too many to list. At check in - front desk staff was somewhat welcoming. I'm platinum elite member and was looking for upgrade complimentary as per the membership team advised me they left notes on the account page. Not available I was told because they were sold out. important to note via Expedia, booking.com and the Marriott app all room types were able to be booked the 3 nights I was staying. If not complimentary I was even ok with an small increase in price to upgrade. Again denied that. But I could pay the full price to upgrade... But then I would forgo the current reservation monies... And if I left the hotel altogether I would have suffered the early departure charge and forgo the money on the card I used. I didn't think $1400 for the upgrade was worth it. Even though the sheet is on the side of the counter showing Marriott brand upgrade and benefits.... It had me reach out to Bonvoy assist for clarification. They said they would bite my account and have rep reach out from the hotel. Never happened. We get to the room. It wreaks of a 1970s bar of cigarettes (non filter kind). I check the pillows...sure enough down feathers in pillows. Thankfully I pack EpiPens and I triple check that it's on our reservation... I take the pillows down to front desk to inform them as we left for a bit. We returned to have the staff tell me that new pillows aren't down. I get to the room. SURE ENOUGH down pillow was provided. I repeat the process of getting new pillows... Day 2 I am awakened to the smell of smoke yet again. We returned night 2... Same situation. Room wreaks of cigarette smoking... This time I went back down to the front desk. They said they will do some checks on where it's coming from. They come to my room at 11pm to let me know they can move us rooms... Family in bed and nighttime routine already done... (But I thought they were sold out of all other room types) I am a Marriott rewards member and choose this hotel chain based on positive previous experiences with the brand... I may have to start staying with the Hilton chain go exclusively with them. (Due to numerous mistakes on attention to detail) Down allergies are a real thing...and can get serious quickly. I choose to inspect all pillows before heading for the bed..and when checking into the room first thing as I can't trust Marriott properties to look on the reservation where it reads down allergy. Feather free room. This was an experience I felt needed to be documented to upper brand management...so I will email with pictures of my experience. If in the area again (Family/friends in the area). Admin/management of this hotel isn't trustworthy. THIS hotel doesn't get a 2nd chance - family decision. Respectfully, Bryan Yukon, Oklahoma

Let me be clear, NO ONE should choose this hotel if they have a choice. I should have read the…read moreprevious reviews but that's my error. This hotel is dated, worn out, and in need of a major renovation. I stayed for two nights and couldn't wait to leave. Here are a few of my grievances: - TV turned on but was all "snow". Could not get reception. My colleague siad he could see an image but the remote didn't change any channels, only turned it on and off. - Bath towel had a hole in it. Yes, they are this old that they're worn out. - Shampoo holder was nearly out of shampoo when I checked in, ran out on 2nd shower. Shower soap was only 1/3 full. - Plates in kitchen were dirty, could feel the encrusted food particles of previous guests. - Breakfast was "meh". I chose to skip and eat elsewhere based on condition of the rest of the hotel. Last note and it's just the icing on the cake for me. As a Marriott Elite you are typically given 2 bottles of water at check-in for Marriott properties. It is NOT a guarantee but when I asked the Front Desk Agent she smugly said, "We don't do that here." I asked her then if she could just charge 2 waters to my room from the cooler. This she did and they were $5 ea for a small bottle of Aquafina. Just pointing this out as it aligns with everyone else's thoughts about this ownership group. I will never stay at this hotel or the Fairfield as apparently they own both.

Where do I even begin with this review? I stayed here a few weeks ago due to a power outage…read more Everything in Metro Detroit, Washtenaw and Livingston Counties were booked solid. Despite reading horrible reviews I was desperate. There was one room left here. I thought how bad could it really be? I found out the reviews were true. For starters as soon as I walked into my room it reeked of cigarette smoke. Then I went into the bathroom and the tub was not clean. There was hair and a film of grime in it. The toilet seat was gross and looked as if it had multiple cigarette burns. The furniture and bedding were tattered and dirty. The walls were gross and the heater was grimy and part of it was broken. The phone and lampshade were covered in grime. I decided to call the office out of desperation since the smell of cigarettes was so bad. This is supposed to be a nonsmoking place. I pleaded for another room if available. Turns out someone did not show up so I got to move to another room. On my way over to the new room I noticed there was dog feces all over the grass. Be careful to only use the sidewalks here. Be aware though the sidewalks and stairways look like they have not been swept in quite some time. They were littered with cigarette butts, leaves and trash. This new room I'm guessing was supposed to be a step up. It was only slightly less dirty than the first room. The tub and toilet were better, but as I sat on the bathroom toilet and looked at the walls I wondered if the stuff on them was boogers, vomit, feces or all 3? This room reeked of cigarette smoke too and had a musty smell. The heater wasn't broken, but the only options were to keep it on all night or off. The heater is right below the window so the air moves the curtains up. The wi-fi also sucked. At this point it was getting late so I had to put my child to bed. I was worried if the bedspread and blankets were laundered after every guest. They stunk like mildew. The blankets had cigarette holes in them. Pillows were lumpy and smelled horrible. Despite checking the mattress for bed bugs, I still worried about bringing bed bugs or fleas home. I got very little sleep. This place is next to the highway so all night long I heard traffic. The smoke alarm has a flashing green light that never stops and is right above the bed. I also was awake because the smell of the room and bedding had me gagging and coughing throughout the night. The next morning I checked out. I didn't even care that I had paid for another night to stay here. I just wanted to be gone! After check out I took a peek at their "breakfast". It was two plastic containers of cereal. Nothing else. The juice machine had a sign that said it was broken. I noticed a school bus there to pick kids up. I feel sorry for children having to live at this place. I would not recommend anyone stay here if there are other options. I'm disappointed that the Days Inn, a well established chain would run a dump like this.
