Attended a book presentation of one of my husband's friends who just recently had gotten it published. His book is Historical-Fiction and this was his first library to offer the book so we came on a Saturday morning to support him. The meeting space was quite large and the actual library was modernized, 2-stories and had little nooks for places to read or watch informational videos like in one section. The children's area is in another room separate from the adult section, I'm assuming to keep a quieter area for adults to read, study or work. The area has lots of natural light coming thru even upstairs. The outside structure is original and has information about the building. There is a historical section with info on the area which was fascinating. Mary Anne, the main Library Coordinator was very informative and told us about the different programs they have, events around town year-round as well as restaurants & stores she recommends. Another woman we spoke to was talking about "Visiting Comfort" where she and others try to promote tourism. We did see little quaint shops, coffeeshops, restaurants, wine-tasting shops while driving around. We'd like to come back and tour the town again when we have more time so we could walk around, read the historical plaques, talk to the shop owners & try one of the restaurants. We were only able to grab some really overly-iced, overly-filled cinnamon & sugary "Sourdough" cinnamon rolls at one of the bakeries suggested. My husband felt grossed out after and I was only able to eat maybe 1/4 of it. We both commented on how sugary it was and didn't need the icing. read more
