People at front desk are usually helpful. Rooms are adequate although dated. Street noise is noticeable. Heating/cooling units need updated as they are noisy. The sink is located outside the bathroom, limited vanity space. A towel rack or a hook to hang a damp washcloth or hand towel would be nice. Maybe, a unit on the wall near the sink to place items necessary for personal hygiene. We have been staying here for more than a decade. read more

Stayed here in a three queen room for one night while stormchasing up near Valentine, NE. Just your standard, no frills, Comfort Inn experience. Aging property, but fairly clean. They serve breakfast from 6am - 10am, which was also nothing special, your standard powdered eggs and microwaved sausage patties, with assorted cereals and such. One big star deduction was that our room would NOT cool down, even with the air conditioner running full blast. If you like to be cool like I do, you might want to take this into consideration. Overall, a decent experience, and would stay again if I am in the Valentine area. read more

Stayed at this location for a week, lived up to its two star rating Pros: the bed was clean Cons: I didn't get a chance to take my luggage out of the car before my room cards didn't work. I had to get my room cards reprogrammed everyday. My fridge had food residue in it, I had to wipe it out with a Lysol wipe. My coffee maker had so much buildup/residue in it, it made my stomach ache. The first night, I killed two bugs in the room before going to sleep. I would find dead bugs in the a bathroom while I'm in the tub or on the towel that I step out on. The room had a musty/mildew smell when I turned the ac on. read more

The desk people at check in and check out struggled with the process and kept me waiting. The building is showing it's age and my room was musty and in need of some tlc. The bed was comfortable but the room needs an upgrade especially the bathroom. I wouldn't stay here again since the price is way too high for the quality of the facility. I travel a lot and spend many nights in hotels and Comfort Inns are my go to chain but this place falls short of the norm for the chain. read more

I stayed here again 3 days after my first stay. My first review is still 100% relevant, but I would add one thing. Very early in the morning there are dumpsters that get emptied which is very loud. This woke me up both times I stayed, so apparently it happens pretty often. I stayed in different rooms and it seemed equally loud in each. I would still stay again as it's pretty clean and a good option for the area. read more

Had the pleasure to stay here for two nights and three days when I was there I had the pleasure to hear construction start bright and early in the morning and all throughout the day with banging, drilling and just about as loud as you can Imagine. Out of all the hotels I've ever stayed at this had to take the number 1 spot for worst experience. Front desk staff was very friendly. Housekeeping somehow forgot to clean my room and my room just didn't feel clean like it should especially with a worldwide pandemic going on. Great place as far as cleanliness and comfort. We had a lot of trouble with our room key, it was nearly impossible to get back into our room because the key card would not work. For the most part the staff was friendly. We did have less than desirable service however from the manager in charge when we were having trouble with our door. I would never have allowed my guests to try 5 different times to try the door before i personally assisted. Other than that, our stay was great! read more

While the hotel is newly remodeled. The staff on the other hand could use some lessons in customer service. Although after walking in on a conversation that management was having with the front desk clerk. I'd probably not want to put much effort into my job either. The lady who checked me in was wonderful. Very helpful and attentive. I definitely will not stay here again. Not until management is replaced. Word around town she treats all of her employees pretty poorly. Which I suppose explains the subpar help she can get. No one wants to work for a boss like that. read more

After spending a long day driving from Omaha I was a little nervous at my choice upon arriving into Valentine. If you've traveled enough throughout the western part of the US then you know what these outpost towns are like (this isn't a slam, just an observation from someone who is more used to suburbia). Thankfully I was wrong. I now understand why this Comfort Inn has won numerous awards. The clerk at the front desk wasn't all that friendly...almost annoyed that I was disturbing him, but hey, we all have rough days. The room was updated and extremely clean, not to mention plenty of cable channels and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is on a major roadway and it was a little noisy, but not so much that I couldn't sleep. The hotel offers free breakfast, but only between 6-9am which to me wasn't long enough. I would have preferred till 10am, but I'm a slow mover so maybe that's just me. Their breakfast hit the spot - what you expect from the chain hotels. That's not a slam in the least bit...it was adequate and the morning staff was friendly. Stay here if you're passing through Valentine, you won't be disappointed :-) read more

Stayed for two nights at the hotel. Breakfast was great(friendly kitchen staff) and the room was nice. Beds were comfortable and clean, but the shower was not. They didn't remake our beds or change out the trash but that wasn't too big of a deal to me. All together it was a nice stay. read more

Toilet wasn't anchored to the floor and wouldn't flush. We kept turning down the air but it never cooled down. It was a hot night. The plus was the breakfast was great and the pool was okay. read more

Very good hotel to stay at in western nebraska. I have stayed there over the last couple of years many times and the hotel staff are always friendly and helpful as well as the hotel being very clean. It is across the street from a good steakhouse and within walking distance from downtown, subway, and mcdonalds. Gary F read more
